I climbed out of the window through using thick vines of the nearby tree, swinging down, I landed on the ground with a soft thud. I quickly ran over to the enraged Leo who was now on flames, from head to toe. Caleb shouting at him to calm down, even the others were there.
"What the hell is this?" I asked as I stood beside Meira "he has temper issues and I believe he heard what we've talked about a moment ago" she looked at me, eyes filled with concern "Can't you put it out with your ability?" I questioned. If Leo won't stop being overdramatic, it will definitely attract the lingering war-bots.
"I can't, he's hellfire, and that damn thing can't be put out"
I groaned as I examined Leo, his intense red eyes were blazing with fury. Then, a wave of heat went over me, what the freakin' hell?! shrugging it off, I watched as Caleb, Mason, and Ryker tried to stop him while Farren moved the trees out of his blazing fury.
I huffed and angrily stomped towards Leo, but Farren caught my wrist "Lydia no, You'll get a third-degree burn, he's too hot" she warned, I shook off her hold "I'm willing to take a risk, if he continues, we'll be tracked" Ignoring her warning, I walked towards Leo, grabbing the ends of his burning cape and pulled him to me, once he was facing me, I slapped him across the face
"Snap the fuck out of it if you don't want me to do it again" I grumbled, his eyes widened at the sight of me, his flaming body, dwindling down to his own sweat. He stared at me "W-what... Lydia?!" I let his cape go, his brows furrowed "What were you thinking?! I could have hurt you!"
"But you didn't! stop being so overdramatic" He huffs, looking behind me and frowned, he removed his cape and wrapped it over my shoulders, then did I notice I am half naked in front of them. My cheeks flushed red and gripped on the furry hem, "Thanks" He curtly nods.
I looked at Caleb who wasn't looking my way, at least they have some manners "We'll be lucky if the war-bots didn't sense your outrage, but that would be near inevitable" I glared at Leo, who rubbed his nape, looking down "I apologize" It took all of my willpower not to fall right there and then, he looked so adorable!
"Let's head in. I'll be putting the place on lockdown so please, be mindful of what you're capable of" I sternly instructed. They all nodded and we went back in, Meira and Farren were quickly on my sides, pushing away Leo to the couch "Hey!" he yelled.
"How'd that happen?" my brows furrowed "How'd what happen?" I asked in confusion "Girl! you would have been grilled the moment you touch a part of him! But you didn't" I shrugged my shoulders "Eh. All of you should get some rest, tomorrow, we'll re-think what we should do" They nodded and I dispersed back into my room, leaving them to themselves in my small but cozy living room.
huffing, I closed the window and wore a loose tank top and my cotton shorts. I lay hidden under my bed and let the mixed emotions and exhaustion devour me.
The next day, I didn't actually plan to wake up very early, and by very early I mean five thirty in the early morning. I eventually did only because I got a strong wave of burning sensation on my back again, right as it came, I heard a strong commotion downstairs. Silently cursing under my breath, I kicked my covers and jumped out of bed, dashing down the stairs "Catina!" I yelled.
When I got there, she already has Caleb's throat locked between her thighs, the three men were getting ready to attack while the women stared in amazement. What got me mad is the vase I made was broken on the ground near Catina. Speaking of which, she looked at me, gritting her teeth "What are these people doing here Lydia?" she ground her teeth.
Caleb whose having a hard time to breath started patting on her tightening thigh and I could clearly see Leo getting riled up. I rushed towards her "Let the innocent man go, Cat" she gave me a guarded look "They saved us from the war-bots, remember?" she grumbled under her breath but nevertheless let Caleb go who now breathed in a gush of wind.
Then I remember what Meira and Farren told me. I helped Catina up "how are you feeling?" I asked as Leo helped a coughing Caleb "It's a pain nothing I can't handle Lydia, now who are they? and what on earth are they wearing?" I let out a breath, seeking Meira and Farren to explain to her. Sensing my need, they came towards us "It's better you hear from us Tiger" Farren smiles warmly which I know got Catina taken aback.
I looked over at the men "Inside the Kitchen" Caleb looked at me wanting to argue but with a hard glare, he made the right decision by keeping his mouth shut. I looked at Leo, he nodded "come on boys" he said and led them to the kitchen.
I ran my hand through my hair, sighing "Sorry for waking you up" I looked at Catina and just waved it off "You'll have to change that vase" I pointed to the broken pieces and just nodded "I'm sure I can make something similar" I nodded, looking at the girls giving them a small smile before entering the kitchen.
I just hope Catina will take the news better than I did. Then again, she's a guarded woman with a difficult past, but she's never a skeptic about planets containing life. This is why her reaction about this is confusing, it could go the other way around, or vice versa. I could only hope for the better.
