After packing my bag, I went downstairs and met up with the others, I asked Catina to give them a duffle bag where they could dump in their clothes and their towel "Let's go" I said "here, let me carry that for you" before I could even protest, Leo took my bag from me, swinging it over his shoulder "I don't know about you, but they really need a haircut" I looked at Catina.
Indeed, they do need a haircut, the men having hair reaching their shoulders are hot but it's a sight to see if they are cut neat. For the women, on the other hand, long hair reaching their thighs is fairly dangerous in this world unless you know how to deal with it.
"I agree with you, let's do that later"
"Or we can just bring your battery operated hair clipper scissors, and a comb" I pursed my lips "Good idea" She smirks and went to pack it in her bag. When she's back, we left my cabin and trekked towards the falls. Catina fell in step with me on my left, Leo on my right, the others are behind "Did you find anything?" I asked her
"It's still searching, since the photograph from the clip wasn't clear enough, half of the face was seen from the camera angle, it will be a few hours until it could find a match" I nodded, I looked at her and found her glancing at Leo. I don't know why but a foreign feeling went over me when her eyes landed on me, she sighed. My brows furrowed "are you okay?" I asked
"I don't know, I mean, imprinted Lydia? I really don't know how to react to that" she whispered. I interlocked our hands and gave her a comforting smile "It's your choice, hun" she gave me a soft smile "But by the way he glared daggers at me when I yelled at you earlier, I'm pretty sure he's different, it's sacred for them" she frowned
"it doesn't happen every day" I shake my head and focused on the trail "I know, I told Leo that, it may be different, but it won't hurt to try" she sighs and just shakes her head. I do understand where she's coming from, she's had a pretty difficult past and it's understandable that it would be hard for her.
We arrived at the falls a little while later, we set our bags down near a tree root, they removed their capes and folded it properly placing it down near our bags. Without hesitation, Ryker was the first to jump in soon followed by the others. Meira and Farren, however, stayed seated on the edge playing with the water while the guys started splashing around, playing like kids.
I looked at Catina who seemed to be dazed off, sitting on the grass "should I be worried?" I asked as I sat beside her. She shakes her head "how did you react when you knew Leo imprinted on you?" she asked as she started plucking on the grass.
I let out a breath, "not good. I mean it sounded like an animal, it's weird having someone locking their fate on us"
"and you gave him a chance?"
"If he can prove himself he's worthy of me, I'd give him a chance"
she sighed "I don't know, you know how I am around men" I nodded "I understand, I could warn him for you" she shakes his head once more "he's actually giving me space" she murmured.
I pursed my lips "come on, you need to have a swim" she looked at me and smiled.
Standing up, we removed our shirts. She was wearing a black bikini top and gray booty shorts. Meanwhile, I wore a maroon bikini top and black spandex shorts "race ya!" I teased and ran "oh no you don't" because I am cursed with short legs and since Catina is tall with long legs, she was the first to jump in as I followed.
swimming to the surface, I pouted "I hate you" I grumbled "aw, I know you love me sweetheart" I shake my head and swam towards the girls, they chuckled once I got to them, soaking them on purpose "come on, stop sitting around" and with that I pulled them in. They squealed and started splashing water at me.
soon it turned into water wars. The guys joined in the fun, them as one and us girls as one. It felt wonderful, hearing them laugh, especially Catina, she's the one who had the rough road. She deserves happiness.
Then, after that, we all calmed down and I know it was time for us to cut their hair. We started with Farren and Meira, they were complaining but I explained to them that it's dangerous to have extra long hair which made them give in. Catina and I just trimmed it up until their waist in a layered style.
Next, we moved to the men. We had to do Ryker and Mason first since Farren and Meira asked the other two to help them prepare something to eat, then decided to do grilled fish.
"stay fucking still or I'm gonna cut your damn ear off" I looked over at Catina and stifled a laugh, Mason pouted at her "It's scary!" Catina rolled her eyes "you're a grown man, Mason, deal with it" shaking my head, I continued running the battery operated hair clipper through Ryker's hair, he seems to be calm. I decided to give him a side buzz cut since I do think it would suit him better.
And I heard Catina inform Mason that she would be giving him a sidecut, though I'd say, he'll look great in such style. We'll have to let them shave back at the cabin. Once we're done, Ryker swam away after thanking me soon followed by Mason "good job girl!" I fist bumped.
I looked over to the girls and saw Farren looking over the grilling fish while chatting with Meira. Leo made his way towards me while Caleb approached Catina carefully. I shake my head as Leo sat in front of me, I had already decided what cut to give him. Running the comb through his fast drying hair, I ran the battery operated hair clipper on the side part of his hair, trying to get that perfect undercut look.
I glanced over to Catina and found her doing the same "I saw you have a tattoo" Leo spoke, I hummed in response "Yeah, it's like a tattoo but it has been there, growing with me since I was a baby" Even father couldn't explain it or why I have something like such.
"It kind of looks like an emblem, it's familiar but I can't remember where I saw it"
I scoffed "well, that sucks," I said as I ran the comb through his hair "I'll tell you once I could recall it," he said assuringly, I shrugged my shoulders, finishing off his haircut. "You are not obliged to, but it has been a mystery for me" I trimmed an inch and a half from the hair atop his head, my thoughts racing.
It was three thick lines with a little wave, situated from short, middle and tall, enclosed with a perfect circle. I really don't have any idea what it is or how I got it. But I've been really curious about it. It has been a part of me for years and I want to know about it and understand it.
But I never really had time. So I left it as a mystery waiting to be solved. For years it had been growing with me, but every time I glance at it, it would always remain unknown.
