Entering the kitchen, the men were all seated at the stools. Noticing their dirty clothes, I shake my head, they would need clean ones. I walked over to the counter, taking a frying pan hanging from the cupboards, then I took out the deer meat from the fridge. In a large bowl, I placed enough amount of meat and started to season it, "Am I going to wait for any of you to explain what had happened?" I asked as I started to mix the meat with the marinade.
"Well, we couldn't sleep so we talked softly to ourselves" Mason explained "And Catina went out of her room groaning when she noticed us, the next thing we know, Caleb is tackled down" I hummed, washing my hands before starting the stove.
"Well, she's quite edgy when it comes to..." I looked over at them as I take a pot and filled it with water, Caleb stared at me, his face void of emotion "... Men" I said before placing the pot on the stove, turning on the burner.
I faced them fully, placing my hands on the counter "Hopefully she takes on everything well" I sighed and looked over at them, "Sorry" I looked at Leo, raising a brow "for what?" I asked although I know what he meant "for waking you up" I nod "It's not a new thing, Catina comes and goes whenever she wants, drives me up the damn wall all the time" I rolled my eyes, turning to fry the pieces of deer meat.
As I was frying, a loud noise came from the living room. I audibly groaned "Catina! I swear if you break more of my furniture you are out, you hear me?!" I yelled angrily. I could hear her grumbled response then Leo spoke sternly "Caleb, drop it" I faced them and saw Caleb glaring at me, Leo gripping his fists.
I raised a brow "you have no right to act like that, not until Catina understands everything, you hear me?" I hissed. I swear I could practically make out his pupils turn to slits "Caleb, I'm not bluffing, I will not hesitate to hurt you if you hurt her" -"Ah!" I yelped as I held my back, it was the burning sensation again.
Groaning, I glared at Caleb, not failing to notice Leo's temper rising and falling at my small cry "What's wrong?" he casts me a concerned glance, I shake my head at him "You better drop it, or I won't be as generous, Caleb"
"Lydia?" I looked over at Catina, her face void of emotion. I glanced at Caleb who now calmed down and has his eyes following Catina's every movement, on the doorway, Meira and Farren sent me a small smile and a nod. I looked at Catina "Everything all right?" I asked, turning to flip the meat "Aside from telling you 'I told you so', everything's fine" I glared at her, she smirked then looked over to the men.
She frowned "Listen up assholes, any wrong move, say bye-bye to your little Weigner" I smirked and fist-bumped with her as the men nodded submissively, she handed me a plate and I put everything on the plate. I placed it on the counter "eat up" Catina started making cups of coffee and handed it out to everybody.
"did the girls fill you up with everything?" I asked Catina as I leaned on the counter, sipping on my coffee "Yes, so what are we going to do?" she asked, chewing on the deer meat
"Girl, your hand does wonders! this is delicious!" Meira exclaims, I chuckled "Oh trust me, she's a wonderful cook" I shake my head "Firstly, I want you to look for anyone that matches with the figure we found" I pointed to Catina, then I looked over to the others who are enjoying their meal "And the rest of you, we'll be proceeding to the basement" Catina's head snapped to my direction, eyes twinkling in delight.
"what?"
"please tell me we get to train" I smiled "Oh honey, the mats already miss their best friend" she scowled at me "I will kick your ass sooner or later" I stuck my tongue at her before finishing my coffee and placing it on the sink, "head to the basement when you're done" I said before walking towards the door that hasn't been opened for weeks.
I trudged down the stairs meeting a steel door I installed. I opened a latch revealing a set of keypads, I typed in the code. Once I pressed enter, the door lets out a hissing noise and it opened just as the room lit up. I stepped in, missing the cool place, I smiled, there were dumbells everywhere, blue mats puzzled in a perfect square in one corner, a punching bag hanging from the ceiling, and a bunch of gym equipment.
I walked over to the far left wall and opened another latch, I typed in the code and it opened up revealing racks and racks of clothes. Clothes that I bought when I'm out on a mission and some were from Catina's sister's clothing line. Which were discarded since the trend decreased, but it had its famous moments
hearing the entrance open, they came in, Lydia headed back upstairs to get started on searching for information. Meira and Farren came in the not-so-spacious room, eyes filled with awe "You have this many clothes?" I looked at Leo and shrugged "Catina's sister owns a clothing line since the clothes were out of trend, Catina took it upon herself and asked for the remaining stock then she brought it here" I said before starting to look for clothes.
"About yesterday..." I hummed at him, waiting for him to continue "I'm sorry I went on an outrage like that, I just-- I can't really explain" I faced him "then don't, I understand that it's a sacred thing for you, and it's not that I hate it, something like that doesn't just happen here" I said, making him frown "But, I really do have this desire for you, I want us to be something" he said as I picked out a white V-neck top then trudged to another rack or jeans.
"well, if you want us to be something.." I glanced at him "prove to me that you're worthy of me" he hummed "I can do that" he muttered under his breath. I take out black ripped jeans from the rack then to the drawer, pulling out a clean pair of boxers.
I looked over at the others, my jaw fell to the floor when I saw Meira and Farren their arms filled with clothes, Mason rubbed the back of his neck as he noticed me "I tried to stop them" he uttered. I shake my head "Did you choose your style of clothing?" I look at him, Ryker and Caleb who nodded.
I looked back at the giggling girls and shake my head, I gave Leo his clothes "You guys go back upstairs, and tell Catina to prepare, we will be going to the falls" he nods, instructed the others and went back upstairs. I walked over to the girls "Lydia, these clothes are majestic!" I chuckled
"Are they now?" They both nodded with wide, puppy-like eyes "well, you can have anything, Catina wouldn't mind, but take what you want to wear for today, we are going back to the falls" they nodded, squealing, they put back what they pulled out leaving out what they want to wear.
"back at our world, you barely see fabric like these, it's always leather, silk or satin" Farren sighed as we made our way back upstairs "Well, here, those kinds of materials are very expensive, so don't take it for granted" they laughed.
"We won't" they answered simultaneously.
I guess they aren't so bad after all.
