"At times, I really wonder whether or not is she a masochist falling for you," she stated.
"Those in love with me turn into a masochist. There is nothing new about that," he pointed, "but on one condition, I might get rid of my engagement with her."
Oh Miyeon raised one of her eyebrows at his words.
Bringing his face closer to her, he questioned, "Why don't you get married to me?"
"Not get engaged, but get married? Sure, I will agree to it, but only when you are at my status," she vocalised, "Regardless of how it seems like, I do earn more than you monthly."
"Hey! You are seriously hurting my pride with be those words of yours!" Minjae exclaimed, raising the fork in his hand.
"Was I wrong? Lee Minjae, did you even earn a single won in your life?" she asked, arching both of her eyebrows.
"Well, I am planning on breaking ties with the Lee family, and that's why, I don't want to earn a single won for them," he vocalised while Oh Miyeon raised her glass of wine and took a sip out of it.
His words caught her by off guard, and placing the glass down, she began to cough while laughs escaped from her mouth.
In the midst of her laughs, she vocalised, "What type of nonsense are you uttering? Live without the Lee Family? Sure, it would be interesting to see a spoiled brat like you do it. What caused you to say such foolish words?"
"You're really underestimating me, Oh Miyeon! I am perfectly capable of living without the Lee Family," he said, "How hard can earning money be? I will prove to you that I will be earning more money than you have made in your entire life within a month."
She nodded her head while Lee Minjae uttered those words as her eyes were filled with utter disbelief. Pressing both of her lips together, she prevented the laugh from escaping her mouth.
That's when, her eyes went towards the glass of water on the table, and an idea popped up inside her mind. Mischief showed in her eyes while she gripped on to the glass.
Then, smiling at Lee Minjae, she vocalised, "Wake up from that dream, Kid!"
With that, she raised the glass in her hand, and while her lips curved to form a playful smirk, she directed the content of the glass at Lee Minjae.
When that cold water came in contact with him, Minjae's eyes widened, and he stared at his body. His hair, upper body, and knees were drenched due to the water.
Then, he looked at Miyeon who smiled at him innocently and spoke out, "This is the payback for waking me up with cold water the other day."
She stuck out her tongue at him.
Noticing that Lee Minjae was getting up from his chair, Miyeon's eyes dilated further, and acting fast, she made a run towards the door behind her. Holding on to the handle of the door, she quickly pulled it and ran out.
Wasting not a second further, Minjae followed behind her, and this entire thing confirmed one thing for him. In the end, she did not change much after all. He was simply thinking too much.
Miyeon, who had Minjae, on her tails did not pay much attention to the surroundings before and found herself bumping to someone in front of her.
