Chapter 32 - Heartless

"Thank you for dropping me, but this is the furthest you can go. Then, let's see each other tomorrow," Miyeon vocalised, forcing out a smile upon her face.

She attempted to force the door close in front of Minjae's face, but due to him pushing it, that was not possible.

Lee Minjae peeped in through the gap in the door, and wearing a smiling expression, he spoke out, "Come on, Miyeon-ah. It is raining heavily and dangerous to drive under these conditions. You won't be sending me off when my life could possibly at danger."

"Then, die. Do you think I care about such trivial matters?" she vocalised, applying more force on the door.

"Miyeon, don't you think that you are being too heartless? Because of you, I am here, but you are now driving me away. Should not you be offering me some drink at least?" Minjae stated.

"No, I can't do that," she replied, "It is your fault in the first place for taking me to such a place."

"Since I had my card unfrozen, I just wanted to treat you, and I even saved your ass from that Bohyun by risking myself. After all that I have done for you, you are sending me to my death," Minjae dramatically said.

Oh Miyeon let out a sigh and mumbled, "Geez! You exaggerate way too much. When did I send you off to your death? Fine! Enter in, but leave as soon as it is morning. No creating trouble or else I will be kicking you out."

Sparkle appeared at Minjae's eyes at her words, and he nodded his head. Then, he voiced out, "That's fine with me. Now, let me enter in. It's too cold outside."

Lee Minjae shuddered as he raised his hand to push back Miyeon's shoulder and stepped into the room. As Miyeon made way for Minjae, she prayed that she would not be regretting this situation later on.

Treating this like his own place, Lee Minjae walked towards the couch, and sitting down upon it, he raised his legs to place upon the glass table in front of his.

Before she was about to comment on his behaviour, her phone began to ring within her coat's pocket all of a sudden, and reaching into it, she took her phone out.

Her eyes fell on the screen of her phone, and the name Min Soobin caught her attention. Creases formed between both of eyebrows at the thought of possibilities.

Turning back, she glanced at Lee Minjae and noticed that the boy was watching the television. If she received the call in front of Minjae, the boy was bound to create more trouble for her.

Wearing a smile on her face, she stated, "Lee Minjae, I will have to step out for a second; this is important. Don't create a mess, alright?"

Lee Minjae nodded his head at her— his attention from the television not shifting.

Letting out a sigh, Oh Miyeon closed the door behind her and walked out of the room before receiving the call.
