Chereads / Meeting Him Again: Spoiled By The CEO / Chapter 30 - Wait for him

Chapter 30 - Wait for him

After she had heard the footsteps going further from her, she finally came out from her hiding spot, and a sigh of relief was let out by her.

Although she was aware that sooner or later she would have to confront Bohyun, she did not want to create a scene in the restaurant.

Oh Bohyun did not have the best control over her temper, and Miyeon had no desire to go through an embarrassing situation.

When she was clear that Minjae had left with Bohyun, Miyeon walked towards the exit of the restaurant, and the glass door before her opened automatically.

As she took a step outside, something dropped on her head, and raising her hand, she touched the top of her hand. Droplets of water fell on top of her head.

Raising her head, she stared at sky and realized that it had begun to rain. Instantly, she moved back to take cover, and reaching into her bag, she took out a piece of handkerchief.

Rubbing the top of her head with the handkerchief, she mumbled, "Just my luck. It had to rain now."

Oh Miyeon did not properly look at the weather forecast earlier, and being unprepared for it, she did not have an umbrella with her.

Getting a cab from here would not be possible, and she was required to walk a distance further for a cab. Since she had no cover, avoiding getting drenched was not an option for her.

While she pressed her lips into a thin line, her phone rang up due to notification, and reaching into her pocket, she took out her phone.

The message from Minjae was above the screen, and it read, "Miyeon, it's raining. I will drop Bohyun off and come for you within ten minutes. Don't be reckless, and catch a cold."

Those words from Lee Minjae caused a small smile to form upon her lips, and she put her phone back into her pocket. Regardless of how Minjae was, he was truly a friend she could count on.

Ten minutes was not that long of time, and she was not that desperate to go home. Extending her hand forward, she watched as the rain droplet came in contact with her palm, and a giggle left her mouth at the coldness.

"Miss Oh?"

She heard a familiar voice address her, and keeping the smiling expression upon her face, she turned her head back. Seeing that Soobin stood behind her, her eyes widened slightly.

"Oh! Mr. Min, are you leaving?" she questioned politely.

"Yes," he replied, "You don't have a ride home?"

She shook her head and stated, "Minjae just went away for a short moment, and I am waiting for him."

Raising one of his eyebrows, Soobin asked, "You are close with the youngest son from the Lee Family?"

She chuckled and stated, "That's weird of you to ask. I was close with him since highschool. Minjae and you were really close too, but I would not say that you two exactly got along.

Mr. Min, can I ask you a question? I tried to hold it in for the sake of my pride, but my curiosity is killing me. So, I just want to take a shot at it."
