It's the next day, after Keita decided to join the art club. He filled in the application form to join the art club and submitted to the teacher who is in charge of the club.
"Oh, it's rare to see students wanting to join our club. Are you perhaps interested in art?" The teacher in charge, Takahashi-sensei asked.
"N-no, I'm here to help Mio-senpai to fill in the members." Keita replied.
"I see... I thought we could still stand a chance to have an art display after a few months from now." Takahashi-sensei lamented.
"Art display? I thought Mio-senpai have some paintings to display." Keita said.
"Apparently, she refused to display the paintings she did throughout the last year." Takahashi-sensei said.
"That makes sense. I think it'll change this time. She's doing well in her paintings now." Keita said.
"Oh, the way you mention Shiroyuki, are you perhaps looking up to her or something?" Takahashi-sensei asked.
"Maybe, but we are friends." Keita replied.
"Oh, alright. Thanks for joining the art club anyways, it's always only Shiroyuki who's painting alone in there, I hope it will change anytime soon..." Takahashi-sensei said.
"I'll be there occasionally, so don't worry." Keita said as he leaves the staffroom. He took a while to walk back to his classroom before the first period of class starts.
"Keita, what's up with these bandages?" Itsuki asked.
"I fell on the ground, just a few scabs." Keita replied.
"Hmm well, I was sure you were at the scene when our captain messed up his cool introduction, you were there with Kujou-senpai am I right?" Itsuki asked.
"So you're in the soccer club." Keita said.
"Well, he made himself a fool in front of his underclassmen. A fair price to pay for almost hurting the flower of Hokutosei wouldn't you say?" Itsuki said.
"Just leave Kana-nee alone. She could have been hurt worse than me if I wasn't there." Keita frowned.
"Well said. But to think that Kujou-senpai should also be busy as the president of the science club, why is she there in the first place?" Itsuki asked.
"Tsk... So it's my fault in the beginning." Keita realized that it was his fault for almost hurting Kanade. He also caused a scene in the soccer club as well.
"Well, guess things are bound to happen, you can't possibly foresee this to prevent anything." Itsuki said.
"Ah, just like that time." Keita reminded himself of the accident that changed him years ago.
"Huh? What time?" Itsuki asked.
"Nothing." Keita replied. A moment later, Ogura-sensei entered the class.
"Alright class, it's homeroom time." Ogura-sensei notifies the students to return to their seats, Keita leads the class greeting, and homeroom begins as expected.
"As mentioned yesterday, every student is supposed to join a club and contribute their efforts. I see some students are already in clubs, which is very good. I expect to see more of you to join clubs. That's all, see you tomorrow." Ogura-sensei said as she leaves the classroom. Followed with the class greeting, Ogura-sensei walked out of the classroom.
"Now that Ogura-sensei mentioned it. What club are you in?" Itsuki asked.
"The art club." Keita replied.
"Oh, Shiroyuki-senpai's club huh? Do you do art?" Itsuki asked.
"Nope. I'm just there to fill in the numbers." Keita replied.
"A ghost member huh? Why not join our soccer club? Guess you won't be that bad in soccer." Itsuki urged.
"Not interested." Keita refused.
"Why? It's quite important to enjoy youth while you are still at it." Itsuki said.
"No, it's not like you ever enjoyed youth back then." Keita responded.
"Ugh... Well, you aren't wrong..." Itsuki's tone suddenly changed, it's not like his usual self, but then swiftly returned to his usual self.
"Hmm?" Keita seemed to have noticed, but Itsuki convinced him otherwise.
"Oh, it's nothing." Itsuki responded. The conversation ended here, as both of them playing Puzzle Hazzard to pass time until the next teacher comes in.
It took a while until Keita noticed a person's presence behind him.
"Oh, Natsuki-san. Do you need anything from me?" Keita asked.
"Uh... Uhm... Class rep-san, which club are you in?" Natsumi asked.
"Oh, I joined the art club. Is there a reason you asked me of this?" Keita responded.
"Ah, the art club... I heard it was deserted, I was even thinking of joining... Guess I'll pay the art room a visit after school." Natsumi said.
"Most of the members were ghost members though. But Mio-senpai is a talented artist. You should be able to learn from her a lot... If you are interested." Keita asked.
"Oh... I was just doing some sort of art... You know... The manga kind of art..." Natsumi said in a shy tone.
"Oh, I understand. But if it interests you then you can make your decision later." Keita said.
"Understood, class rep-san." Natsumi said.
"Ah, the class rep thing really pisses me off." Keita said.
"Oh, I'm sorry... I just called you that because you're the class rep..." Natsumi said.
"It's alright, Keita's fine." Keita said.
"K-Keita-san...?" Natsumi struggled to say Keita's name.
"Yup." Keita replied. As Natsumi scurried back to her seat, Keita turns around as saw Itsuki laughing uncontrollably.
"What is so funny that you laughed yourself like that." Keita asked.
"It's weird to see you act that friendly with Natsumi. Ahaha..." Itsuki said, but he couldn't hold back his laughter.
"Natsumi... Are you two even close?" Keita asked.
"Well, we came from the same middle school though, I pretty much know her." Itsuki explained.
"It's no wonder, you set me up to become the class rep. You've proven your point." Keita said.
"Well, guess you can really talk with people after all." Itsuki complimented.
"It doesn't sound like a compliment at all." Keita responded.
"Ahaha... Who knows...?" Itsuki said as he looked over to Ayumi.
"Hey Ayumi-chan, aren't you wondering what club Keita's in?" Itsuki called over to Ayumi.
"W-Who wants to know anyways!" Ayumi shouted back.
"Woah... A tsundere change huh? What happened between you two?" Itsuki noticed something's wrong.
"How do I know?" Keita shrugged the question off.
"Uwuuuuuu... How do I face Keita from now on?" Ayumi, who hides her face away from Itsuki and Keita thought to herself.
