It was too dark to see the face of the man, even though he was looking directly at them. But, you could see he was in worn down overalls and also dusty torn up boots.
"Move it, we are driving here!" yelled her dad after they had been sitting their for a few minutes. But, their was no response.... He just stood their, facing us.
Anna got a sudden chill down her neck when she saw him turn his head in her direction. At this point she could see these red, swollen eyes looking her. She noticed a hint of fear within those blood shot eyes.
"Dad, he's looking at me. Can't we just drive around him?" Anna was quite desperate just to get away from this man. 'Cause, no person would just stand in front of a car without moving (unless they are a college student that has debt.) But this person was no college student. Even if she couldn't see his whole face, she could feel it.
"No we can not. That would be against the law... (Not that I'm not itching to just start driving over this dude.)" That second part he just wisper to himself so that no one could hear it.
The man, oddly turned his head slowly to the side of the road and, looked back at Anna, and proceeded to walk off the road.
"Finally!" Yelled her dad, as her pushed on the gas pedal.
With a sigh of relief, she set her hand on her brother and just breathed. A ton of questions started to form in her mind; What was purpose? Why did he stare at me? Why did he look so scared?
"Sissy, what's wrong?" asked her sweet little sister, looking up at her with concern. Anna, touched by her sisters concern, reached over and pulled on her sisters' marshmallow cheeks.
"I'm worried you gonna keep eating and will get as fat as a bear." She teased.
"No I won't be, you'll see, I'll eat SUPER healthy food and will grown up to be a model." She said this as she pulled away from Anna's hands and flipped her pigtails. Anna couldn't help but laugh.
"I'll hold you up to that promise." She laughed and hugged her sister. It was nice to have family like hers. Who needs friends when you have family.
