The air was filled with a warm smell of fresh cooked eggs and bacon coming from the kitchen. Anna, didn't realize how hungry she was until she ate the first bite of breakfast. It have her a flood of memories and ended up pushing her to smile.
"Feeling better I see? That's great!" Said her dad as her watched her smile. Anna would have totally forgotten about the night before if her dad hadn't reminded. I guess that it would be a good thing that she gets to get away from the house at school.
Grabbing her bag, Anna heads out the door and start walking down her driveway through the woods, to the bus stop at the end of it. The road was pretty long and it was somewhat still dark outside, it gave her the chills. Then through the darkened trees, she heard a foot step. She stops on her tracks and holds her breath, trying to not let a single breath escape. She started scanning, recalling her dream and closing up her throat to the point that she started to get a little light headed. For a second, she had second guessed herself, and thought maybe she was just hearing things and being extra cautious because of the night befores' incident, releasing her breath, but, she felt something breathing. Breathing down her neck. Someone was behind her. She felt her heart stop, as she felt a hand touch her shoulder.
"Boo!" yelled a boy's voice from behind her. At this second, Anna felt a lot more relaxed and put her hand to her chest in relief. She slowly turned around to look at the boy behind her, who was currently crying because of how hard he was laughing. Her blood started rushing to her face as she started getting angry. 'How could someone be so rude? What kind of parents let a boy act so terrible?' She thought to her self as she put her hands to her hips, giving the guy, who which had started to stop laughing and wiping his tears, a Stern look that could have burned a hole into his forehead. The boy noticed that he had messed up and started dripping sweat down his neck.
"Girl, chill, it was just a prank. No need for hard feelings." He gave her a smile, even though Anna's face had not changed. He didn't notice before but he realized that this girl in front of him actually had a pretty face.
