Anaya rushed to her room and slammed the door as soon as she entered. She rested her back on the door and pat her heart trying to calm it. Her face flushed as she remembered last night.
'What was that dream about last night. It really felt so real' Anaya thought as she remembered her dream last night.
"Stop it Dheer stop tickling..... Bully!?? me?? Mrs. Anaya Oberoi did you forget the face of that Mastermind.....He even said that he has never seen a bully eviler than you..' She laughed and give him a light peck on his lips with a mischievous smile on her face. Then she ran away from him.
Dheer ran after her and gave her a deep kiss as soon as she was caught in his embrace.
Anaya blushed as she recalled the dream once more.
She woke up really early due to the dream and was unable to sleep after that. She forced herself to calm down and to forget the dream throughout the morning but when she heard Dheer's cheerful voice, all the efforts she made since morning seemed to be for nothing. She instantly recalled Dheer's words and his teasing tone in her dream that highly matched his tone at the moment.
She excused herself and ran to the room to avoid showing her flushed face.
'Come on Anaya, you can't behave like this. It's just a dream. Yes, a dream. He loves Anshika and they'll soon be together. Don't get shook just by a dream. Stop thinking about it.' She chided herself for acting this way.
She tried to distract her mind by recalling the appointments and surgeries she had scheduled today and by thinking about the complications of today's surgery. It worked and she composed herself, took a few deep breaths and came to the living room to join Dheer for the breakfast.
"Is anything wrong Anaya?" Dheer asked as soon as Anaya sat on the chair.
"No, everything's fine Dheer. It's just I just remembered that I left the tap running in the bathroom, so I rushed to close the tap. You know water is precious and every drop counts." Anaya explained her behavior, internally chiding herself for coming with such a lame excuse.
"Oh!!" Dheer murmured and continued eating his breakfast.
A short silence encapsulated them, while there was a loud and strong turmoil going in both their minds. Anaya didn't dare to look Dheer in the eyes fearing that it would ruin all her efforts to remain composed in front of Dheer.
Wanting to break the silence Dheer said "About the request that you made last night about wanting to be involved in our plan, I think you're right. It'll be very easy to keep an eye on them with you on our team. As long as you promise that you'll be cautious and wary of your safety you can help us. Just don't do anything silly that will expose you to danger."
Anaya was elated to hear this. "Thank u so much for including me in your plan." She instantly looked up and thanked Dheer but soon regret looking up. Not again, she cursed inwardly.
"Welcome to the team detective Anaya"
"Thank you detective Dheer" Anaya replied. "Umm and about our divorce..." Anaya took a pause, she had to talk about this to not think about that stupid dream which was doing stupid things in her brain forcing her to think about it again and again.
Dheer stiffened hearing her.
Anaya continued "Is it ok, that we announce it after a fortnight. It's Mama Sharon's bday in two weeks and she sounded so happy and excited to celebrate it this year. I don't want to ruin it by the news of our divorce" her volume gradually decreasing.
"I can explain it to Anshika you don't have to worry about her being uncomfortable. And she can even stay here during these days." Anaya's volume turned up as she said these lines not wanting him to misunderstand.
"No need!" Dheer suddenly shouted. He was annoyed by this topic. He hated to hear the words divorce coming from Anaya. But seeing Anaya frown his gaze soften and said gently "I mean no need to worry about Anshika, I'll talk to her. She's busy with something right now so she can't stay here right now. You don't have to worry about her. Besides even I was going to bring up the issue. I want mom to be happy. Thank you for considering her happiness, Anaya."
Anaya let out an innocent smile. "Are you sure that Anshika will be fine. I can explain to her, you know."
"Yes, she'll be fine. So don't stress over her." Dheer said.
"Ok then. Let's head out to the hospital now. It's time." Anaya said.
"Oh, you go ahead, I have something to do first. I'll come later. Besides, my work starts at ten you know, an hour later than yours. Perks of being a Director" Dheer said jokingly.
"Oh, I forgot that. Ok then, see you later. Byee." Anaya said as she got up from the breakfast table and soon got ready to leave.
