Anaya's mouth twitched. She knew that her idol appreciated her but to put forward such a bizarre proposal...
As she learned, his nephew lost both his parents when he was young and ever since Dr. Shah had taken care of him. He was like a father to him. And to ask her to get married to him, 'wasn't he a little too late... Oh crap! Forget about being late, he sure doesn't mind about that but proposing to divorce Dheer? Well, she already was divorcing him but he doesn't even know that. How does this thought even cross his brain? Is he pushing himself to work so much that he has started to lose it? Should I get an appointment with a psychologist for him?'
"You can say he snores, or.. Or you can say he doesn't bathe, or he eats much or maybe you don't like his hairs... Cut it, I will come up with more reasons for you to choose from, just you wait. You can say any of those in the court. I'll make sure that you'll get that divorce." Dr. Shah said, feeling proud of himself for coming with this brilliant idea.
"Let's go, sir. The psychologists here are the best in the country. Let's ask for their help. I'm sure they'll be able to treat you before Mam arrives at the city" Anaya said concerned.
"What do you mean by a psychologist you rascal? You dare think like that. I'm perfectly healthy and amazing that's why the patients are lining up to get an appointment with me. And here this amazing person just wants you to join our family. Where am I wrong huh??"
As Anaya was going to say something to refute him a hostile voice from the rear interrupted them...
"I didn't know that Dr. Shah now has this much free time. Given the herd of people seeking to get your appointment just to get treated by you has already covered all the waiting areas of the hospital, I thought you would be attending your patients now" Dheer strode towards them as he said that.
Dheer was planning to take a tour of the hospital to get himself used to its atmosphere. But when he reached the door of his office he heard voices. It appeared the owner of the voice halted in front of his office to talk. At first, he thought of going back and step out giving them some privacy but halted when he heard Dr. Shah's words "Say, is it possible for you to get a divorce now?" He recognized his voice instantly. Who wouldn't? He found his conversation interesting. So out of curiosity, he eavesdropped. He wondered who he was talking to and was proposing such a strange offer. 'Who can it be that Dr. Shah himself was making such an offer? Must be someone outstanding. But not as outstanding as his Anaya. Poor husband of this lady. Tsk tsk' he pitied the husband inwardly.
But just as the other person's voice entered his ear he was dumbfounded.
'Isn't this Anaya's voice? Yes, it's definitely her. Why is she here? Wait! Is Dr. Shah proposing this ridiculous idea to her? Does that mean, that poor husband in the questions me?' Annoyance filled him the more he thought about it. 'How dare he suggest Anaya to divorce him?'
He clutched the doorknob almost breaking it and opened the door and strode towards the duo who were chatting with their back towards his office.
Anaya's jaw dropped as she saw Dheer. 'Oh crap! I didn't notice that we were talking in front of his office. Did he hear us? Hope not. All those reasons that Dr. Shah gave for divorce were too absurd. What will he think of him'
"Good Morning Mr. Dheer. So sorry to disturb you. We didn't notice we were in front of your office. And about attending the patients, all the appointments for today start at elven so there's still some free time for me today" Dr. Shah cleared.
Anaya didn't know what to say and how to react. So She just gave a sheepish smile to him and said "Sorry to disturb you Mr. Dheer. Dr. Shah, it's time for my appointments so let's talk later" and headed towards her cabin.
Dheer became madder seeing her reaction. But before he could say something, Dr. Shah spoke up " I guess I should take some rest before my appointments too. See you later Mr. Dheer" and he too headed towards his cabin leaving a furious Dheer standing there, ready to murder someone.
