The quillions hated Analis and her mother. They were high in status but Analis's mother, Veronica, was the daughter of a maid. They were overjoyed to become family with the royals but hated Veronica's low birth.
They waited for years on end to get rid of her. Finally they found a way. One that could never be traced back to them.
Veronica died and they had hope for Analis. However, the king completely abandoned Analis after Veronica's death. That was when they gave up and infected Analis as well.
The physician looked at Analis's emotionless express and understood her more.
The in book analis showed this face when her emotions were so overwhelming. The doctor saw her and finally understood it.
"I cant help with the research you want. It would put my life on the line as well. Im sorry but im not yet sure if i can lay down my life for you. I, Mello Rontero, royal physician of the winterstone kingdome would like to express my deepest regards in the princess's last few years." The physician said getting on his knees.
Analis closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She smiled brightly at the physician as her next words and sad tone broke his heart, "its already at a bad stage my life is only expected to be 3 years at most. I guess i might as well live those three years with no worries right?"
Analis waited for Mello to leave. Her eyes started to tear up for a moment before she wiped them away.
'If mello doesn't help me than nobody else will be able to get the cure. I guess ill just have to travel and see the world. Enjoy my last few years...'
Analis sighed and looked up at the clock. It was almost noon. It was almost exactly three years since the guillotine.
Analis in the book died on her birthday at exactly noon. That means she had actually been sent back to yesterday noon but was just asleep till the morning.
With the bell rings of noon Analis felt an uncomfortable pain in her foot. It was like small needles lightly poking at her foot.
As Analis got out of bed the pain didn't get worse as she stood up. It was perfectly even no matter sitting or standing.
"If lightly pressed needles is what a small bit feels like than I almost don't want to live to the end of this month. I better get started on heading out of this castle as soon as possible." Analis said to herself looking around at the almost empty room.
...
In the king's palace, Mello stood in front of a dark wooden door with a golden design. Her hesitated as he held his hand up to the door.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!" A voice yelled from the opposite side.
Mello opened the door and walked in.
The king, richard sat in his chair. He looked nothing like Analis. He had pitch black hair and blood red eyes. He was kind and generous to his servants. His eyes showed kindness when he saw Mello.
Mello could only think 'how could this kind hearted king abandon his own daughter'
