Chereads / A Girl Named Analis / Chapter 7 - Isolation

Chapter 7 - Isolation

"Is that true?" The king asked doubting his words.

"Its true. Those people did so almost as soon as my mother died. To think they would infect both mother and daughter..." Analis said frowning as she pitied the Analis of the book.

The king felts a knot in his chest when he saw her frown. "Im surprised you've lasted for so long. Normal people die after about two years or so but you've lived four years hiding it away."

Analis felt angered by his sudden consideration, "I'm sorry but I must leave. I cant stand watching you act like you care."

She turned her back on him and left. The king had never acted so kindly to her in the novel. Hearing consideration from him made her upset.

If only the book Analis had seen it. She would have done worse to the king.

As analis walked through the hallways she held her arm in discomfort. It was as if someone was constantly pinching her elbow.

She looked down at the floor with a dark expression. One of a hateful grudge, "I don't ever want to see a look of disappointment on his face. He's never cared before. He shouldnt be allowed to care. Analis suffered because he cant see something in front of him."

She took a deep breath and looked up at the empty hallway. She was already at the door and couldn't wait to return to her quiet palace.

The maids glared at her as they opened the door to let her out. Analis walked proudly and didn't notice one of them holding their foot out to trip her.

She knew how frail Analis's body was. In the book a small scratch took more than a day to heal. Tripping was a no go.

However, this Analis wasn't prepared. She quickly reached her hands out in an attempt to catch herself. The maids laughed but didnt expect what she did.

"Get out of my sight. Get out of my sight now!!!" She yelled holding her tears back.

She held her ankle and took a deep breath as anyone in sight moved away. Analis got up, walking on her hurt foot as if nothing happened.

In truth the Analis from Earth was use to this. She was a proud person but too much pride was a burden.

She was an orphan who was raised preciously by her grandparents. Her grandmother was a former martial arts teacher. Her grandfather was a top tier politician. She held her head high and got into many fights. Throwing a fit wasn't her style. She was more of a silent protester.

She got to her carriage and looked back at the maids who returned. They laughed as they knew they were ignoring her commands.

Analis threw her flower hairpin at the closest maid and it was just like a throwing dagger. The maids hand rushed with blood. Everyone was in a panic but one person was bold.

She had brown hair and pitch black eyes. She was known as the kings only love in the book. He had fallen for her after His previous wife, Analis's mother, died. She was never given an official title as the current queen was one of a political marriage.

"Princess, please calm down. The king wouldn't like for you to hurt his maids. Im sure you understand as his daughter" She said gently.

The other maids only became more bold with her words. It was her way of backing them up and saying the king is behind them.

Of course Analis knew better than to listen to her, "I Am The One And Only Daughter Of King Richard. I Don't Care If Your The King's Woman Or Not! I Am The Princess And I Will Not Be Talked Down To By A Lowly Maid!"

Analis couldn't stand it there anymore as she got in her carriage. The driver took off scared of Analis's dark glare.
