Chereads / A Girl Named Analis / Chapter 6 - Odd

Chapter 6 - Odd

Ray who looked like the king but had blue eyes ran in, "father, someone has taken my new precious girlfriend."

Analis knew exactly who he was talking about. Ray called her that but they had only met. After all, this was Ivy's first time at the capital. Ray had seen her at the exact same moment as Analis.

"Gather the guards and go after her then. Don't stay here. Go be her knight in shining armor." The king said encouraging him to go quickly.

Ray turned around to leave when he saw Analis sitting down before him.

"How dare you come here with your stupid incurable disease!" Ray yelled.

The king looked at Ray then at Analis with an expression that said 'incurable?'

"It is true. I have gotten Avia, the disease with no cure. However, I am wearing gloves and I am not directly touching anything. The king wont get it." Analis said not even looking ray in the eyes.

"I think Mello mentioned avia but its incurable?" The king asked looking naive because ray was by him.

"Im sorry your highness but I'll be taking my leave now." Analis said noticing it was second from noon.

She got up and left the room. She took a deep breath calming herself and preparing for something else to hurt.

The bells rung and Analis felt her whole body writher in pain. This was just a show of how much pain her body truly was in. It was unbearable as Analis's mind went blank.

She fell with a thud onto the ground.

Ray and the king ran out from the office. Analis was pale and holding onto her arm with a painful expression.

"Mello!" The king yelled seeing him pass by the hallway.

Mello looked down the hallway and stopped in shock. The king was about to touch Analis's head. He ran up to the king with a yell, "your highness, don't or you will catch it too!"

The king withdrew his hand and was about to pick her up but the physician stoped him again, "its to risky. Your better off just leaving her there until she wakes."

"You mean leave her on the floors of the palace?" The king said looking at Analis with concern.

"Yes, we cant have you or your servants touching her highness for you might catch it. As long as you don't touch her skin you will be fine." Mello warned.

"Call one of her servants over than. They can move her." The king said rolling his eyes at Mello.

"The princess doesn't have any servants in her palace. She dismissed everyone yesterday for corruption." Mello said sighing as he had already told the king this.

"Everyone? Like all of them?" The king asked.

"Yes, all of them. Everyone except me." Mello answered.

The king pondered for a moment before seeing one of his mages pass by, "you over there. I order you to use your magic and carry the princess back to her castle. Don't touch her though."

In that moment Analis opened her eyes slightly as she heard the king talk. She opened her mouth with a weak voice, "don't worry... I'll. get. up. in a moment... and go on my own."

Analis sat up regaining her thoughts. As she got up she stumbled back to the ground and looked at her arm with displease.

It was the first time the king had seen any emotion in her at all. That emotion just happened to be displeasure.

"The pain has bearable but its been getting worse. I only went to the physician because I cant hide it anymore." Analis said making up a story.

"How long have you been sick?" The king asked suddenly curious about the princess.

"Four years. Only a month after my mother died." She said not looking him in the eyes.
