When the figure moved it was at an extremely fast speed that only the Experts of the group could react to. Lunging towards them the figure closed in at the mage thrusting his saber causing the mage to raise not only a barrier around him but also a earth wall to block the attack.
The earth wall only delayed the figure slightly with him pushing through it with what seemed like ease but the power of his thrust managed to decrease some so by the time it hit the mage's barrier, the barrier only cracked. The force from the thrust itself sent the mage flying but while in the air he threw some fireballs on the figure which managed to land.
Taking the opportunity to attack the leader swung his axe towards the figure so fast that it made a screeching sound as it tore through the air. When his attack landed he felt that he didn't hit flesh at instead the figure managed to block it with his saber. Unfortunately for the figure his both his overall size and strength were weaker than the leader's so the attack sent him flying back into the trees.
As he was flying through the air the leader noticed that the figure barely took any damage from the joint attacks of him and the mage so he immediately ordered the rest of the men to sent out their most powerful techniques to try and injure their opponent before who could fully recover.
While screaming at the top of their lungs the ten remaining men built up the rest of their energy firing their full strength at their tormentor. This caused the figure who was just getting up from the ground to be sent back into the dirt receiving the full brunt of everyone's attacks. The Experts not wanting to take chances also attacked but unlike their men they still had some energy leftover.
After everything was settled there seemed to be no movement from the figure, the Experts couldn't sense anything from him so they sent one their men in case he tried anything. The man who approached the figure was shaking wildly in fear that this monster was still alive. He got out his sword and stabbed the figure in the back but seeing no movement from him the man breathed out in relief.
He turned back to yell that he confirmed that the figure was dead when he felt something reach for his head and suddenly he felt all his strength fleeing from him. It felt as if the very life from him was being drained but he wasn't able to break free of the vice grip that held onto his head.
Seeing this from afar the Experts started rushing towards the figure at a fast speed but before they could reach him the figure spun around and threw their man at them. When the body reached them it suddenly burst out in flames and caused an explosion they weren't prepared for sending them flying back in a unsteady manner.
The Experts weren't too injured but they definitely took some damage especially so for the mage who didn't have enough time to raise any sort of defensive measure. They looked at the figure standing in the distance and he didn't look to good either.
His body was covered in wounds that were covering him in blood but despite this fact the figure was still standing even though he looked like he would collapse at any moment. He didn't move either he stood there breathing heavily but the look in his eyes hadn't changed at all since this exchange began.
In his injured state the figure started gathering internal energy in his saber to launch another attack. The power seemed immense so the leaders started getting ready to receive it as they probably wouldn't reach him in time to stop him neither would their attacks and they weren't taking the chance that their attacks would stop his.
At this point they didn't even bother covering for their men as they finally figured out that there wasn't an entire group after them or the Imperial Forces instead it was this monster that was hunting them down. If it wasn't only just this person why has no one else come out to attack them considering the conditions of both sides of this battle.
So the Experts were trying to preserve their own life so they could escape. With just the two of them they wouldn't be able to bring much of the people they captured back but they'll at least bring the ones that would sell the most with them. It was better to give that up rather than die here at the hands of this beast.
Not even a moment after they prepared their defenses the figure waved out his saber in a vertical manner resulting in a large waved like energy to shoot at the group. In the process of reaching the group it cut down several trees that were in it's path but that didn't impede it's power or speed in the slightest.
When the attack finally reached the leader blocked it with all his power put into his axe while the mage used his strongest defensive barrier he could muster. While both their efforts managed to somewhat block the attack it just continued to push them back eventually overpowering them and in the process not only injuring them but also knocking them unconscious. The other men on the other hand couldn't counter in the slightest and were torn apart by the power contained in the attack.
When the leader managed to wake back up he was still on the ground but he could hear something. Turning to look he saw the figure that had managed to beat them into the ground fully healed with almost not injury to be seen from there previous battle but that was the least of his worries when he noticed the condition that the mage was in.
The mage was constantly being raised by the figure with what seemed to be only by the movement of his hand. He would then rag doll the mage to and fro slamming his body into anything that was around them. The leader wondered why the mage didn't retaliate in any way before he started to try to feel out his energy. When he did so he realized that none of his energy was circulating at all, it was as if something was blocking it from moving. He figured out that was probably the same situation as the mage.
When the figure notice that the leader was awake he threw the mage hard against the ground causing his body to cave it in a bit. While the leader was panicking he tried to figure out a way to try to reason with this person so that at least he could get out of this alive.
Safe to say that none of his begging worked as the figure got closer to him having the same look that's he had since they first saw him. Now though he was able to see some kind of deformed shadowy entity behind him that looked like it was shackled by something and was struggling to break free.
These two things would be the last two things that both the mage and leader would see before being sent to the afterlife with the other warrior.
