Going through the forest with another nine men one of the Expert of the group who was a warrior like their leader was taking the men towards Dawn Village. Since the entire group came out to an even number excluding the guys they left behind to guard each Expert took nine men each making groups of ten. They felt like that was more than good enough to handle a Village. While he was going to Dawn Village, the mage Expert was going to Yellow Village, while their leader was going to Mountain Village.
Even if the other villages don't cause them trouble Mountain Village might as it was one of the stronger villages in the area. They had a good amount of warriors but they only had two Experts on their side. This might prove trouble for other people but their leader was going to reach the Master level soon and two Experts shouldn't prove too difficult to handle. Even then the other two Experts were going to handle the other villages and make their way to Mountain Village to see if help was needed it was also going to be their rendezvous point anyway.
As the men were walking the Expert leading them suddenly felt like there was tremendous killing intent directed at them. Ordering his men to stop he tried to focus and find where exactly it was coming from but the problem was that it seemed to be coming from every direction. The Expert assumed this was so because they were going to be attacked by multiple enemies and he was going to tell his men to get ready for an attack but before he could the killing intent changed focusing on one them instead of surrounding them. The man is was focused on started feeling the intent now was starting to shiver like a dog he wasn't able to even move all he saw before he died was a bright slash coming towards him.
All the others of the group didn't even have time to react to the attack thrown out before one of their comrades was split in half. In a panic they all sent different attacks towards the direction where the slash originated from. The Expert himself was still trying to find the exact location of the attacker because as soon as the attack was launched the killing intent disappeared. His men on the other hand saw the dust clear from all their attacks finding nothing in the path they destroyed. The only evidence that they were attacked was the corpse of their comrade.
The Expert turned and yelled, "Get in formation! Be ready for any attack coming your way!"
All the men complied as they were at least somewhat disciplined and they also didn't want to end up dead either. The surroundings of the forest were more quiet then when they were traveling as everyone focused on defending themselves. Eventually the killing intent appeared again but this time everyone was able to sense it's presence, it felt heavy and thick making it extremely difficult for most of the men to breath. Still they focused on at least surviving the next set of attacks. Not long after the killing intent appeared all the men then felt like their was something forming around them. They weren't necessarily able to sense it but they felt danger different from the killing intent forming around them.
Soon a purple like energy sphere formed but nobody was able to react to it's appearance because as soon as it showed itself it exploded as well. None of the group were able to defend against it properly thus ending their lives then and there others were badly wounded to the point that if left alone they would die as well. The only one who managed to survive relatively well off after the attack was the Expert but even still he was left with a wounded arm that was bleeding profusely.
At least from that the Expert was able to locate where the caster was but this didn't help him in the slightest. The spell just used was nothing like he had ever seen before, he had seen plenty of different elemental types but that one didn't even seem to have one. All he felt was the overwhelming pressure it presented on himself was simply ridiculous. If the spell used wasn't one that was group based and instead had singularly targeted him he wasn't sure if he could come out as he did now even if he made preparations.
What helped relieve him of his worry was that the spell caster was actually coming towards him seeming to want to finish him off. Eventually out of the trees a kid, being of a relative size, showed up. His face showed almost no emotion but looking into his eyes seemed to suck you into a dark abyss you couldn't escape from it caused the Expert to look away from him for a second. What was worse was that the kid's killing intent was growing as he came closer towards him. At the beginning he thought he was surrounded by different people but as it turns out the killing intent was all coming from this kid.
The kid continued to get closer to the Expert causing him to chuckle a bit but this didn't seem to deter the boy in front of him. When the kid was within a good meter of him that's when he put his plan into action. In his mouth he placed a pill and swallowed it causing his bleeding arm to fix itself almost instantaneously. The pill itself was something he had gotten during his travels that allowed almost instant regeneration of any wound you had. Of course there was a price to pay in using such a thing as he would lose a portion of his strength and life. He would also suffer random seizures for a few years but these consequences were meaningless to the danger of dying.
With his arm fix he used both hands to grab his sword and swing with all his power to kill the boy in one swing in the fastest time possible. The sad thing was that he seemed to forget that this boy was the only one attacking him but he somehow was able to attack them with an internal energy attack at the very beginning of this ambush. It's not necessarily his fault for forgetting as his spell attack was more frightening and powerful causing him to fear the boy as a mage. It also didn't help that the fact that someone who practiced both internal energy and used mana was practically a myth and thought of to be entirely impossible.
At the point that the Expert started swinging his sword a pressuring energy burst out of the boy almost locking down the Expert's movement but that was all that was needed. The boy pulled out his saber and slashed out with the saber seemingly coated in the weird element that was prevalent in his spell he cast. Both his speed and strength were powerful so the instant that the Expert's movements were stopped was when the boy slashed out completely severing both of his opponents arm's clean off.
The Expert started screaming out in pain as he felt the disconnect in his arms. Blood was rushing out of his body but soon the boy used flames to cauterize the wounds to keep the Expert alive. The Expert himself was about to on the brink of losing consciousness but looking at the boy standing there looking at him he knew it wouldn't be all that simple. He used to nothing on this boy's face a second ago but now he felt like he was looking at a terrifying demon full of rage that hadn't yet been satisfied. What made things worse for the Experts was the boy's seemingly growing shadow that seemed like an even worse demon than the one he was facing now.
