Hours past after the memorial. It ended at noon, now it was 3 o'clock. Just 3 more hours. Everyone had gone home to relax before the will reading...
With Maya and Atticus: Maya had been tucking Atticus in for a nap, they were both tired. She was about to leave when Atticus said, "Mom?" Maya turned from the door and looked over at Atticus. "Yes, honey what is it?" Atticus studdered a bit. "I-I was just wondering... Are you mad at me?" Maya sighed a breath of relief and walked over to his bed and sat down. "No. Honey I'm not mad. Why would I be?" Atticus lowered his eyes "I dont know. Maybe about what I said. You didn't look happy... I just thought-" Before Atticus could finish Maya leaned in to give him a hug. She held him close, holding his head in her hands. "No. No... I will never be mad at what you said. You said what was on your mind... You didn't upset me... Its okay. I'm not mad... Its okay... Its okay..." Atticus was crying into his moms shoulder. She had one hand on his head and the other on her stomach... They both fell asleep for and hour on the bed. One little family...
With Aaron and Peyton: "When they walked in Atka went strait to the couch... She was waiting for them to sit down and rest after such a painfull day... But it was also the day they have a sense of closer. Instead of sitting Aaron backed himself on to the door, as he put his head in his hands and cried. Peyton reached out for his hand but he didn't find hers. She tried finding him on her own... She found his arm. Then took his hand away and put it on her stomach. The baby wasn't kicking. Just moving around. Aaron could feel it to. She pulled him to hug her... He had been there for her through everything. Now it was time for her to be there for him... She hugged him as he sobbed onto he shoulder. They both were in tears... They both rocked gently together as they tried to enjoy this small moment. But also trying to shake the pain...
With Jin amd Katlyn: Jin walked Katlyn into their apartment and they both sat on the couch curled in the corner. Jin had his arm around her, as he held her knee. A way of comforting her. He put their cat Nya on Katlyn's lap. Anything to cheer her up before the will reading... Nya purred loudly on her lap. The sound seemed to put them all in a deep sleep. They both slowly drifted off into a place where the greef, and pain in their hearts no longer exsisted... To a place where they weren't grieving. Only in their dreams could such a thing be possible... The pain would always haunt them no matter how hard they try to make it disapeer. But there will come a day where they aren't always thinking about Daniel. A day where the sadness will fade back to love... Where they would no longer have to shield themselves from their true feelings... No longer put a mask on for the crowd... A day where cut in their hearts would heal... Making them all whole again...
After they all had time to cool off they headed to city hall for the will reading... Everyone was in something comfortable this time. Not black dresses and suits, nor their Military suits. They all wore something they remembered they wore alot around Daniel. Subliminaly of course. Atticus was in his jeens and sweatshirt that his dad got him. It was a matching Son and Father set. Maya wore a dress she wore on Daniels 29'th birthday. It was like a long crimson t-shirt, so it fit even though she was 8 months pregnant... Peyton wore the yellow turtle neck Daniel had got her for her birthday two years ago along with some jeens. Aaron wore a grey t-shirt Daniel had left at their house. And Katlyn and Jin wore their christmas gift from Daniel. A red dress and a White dress shirt for Jin... They looked like a rainbow. But they didn't care. They wanted to rember Daniel as much as they could... They all stepped into the room... Ghe strange man was waiting at the end of a long table. With a man in the corner of the room holding a dog. Atka was eager to go over and meet because she was only two. But she still kept calm and led peyton to a seat. The guessed the strange man was Mr. Loniá... The strange man got his paper together and started to read... "I am Lang Yu. I will be reading the will of Mr. Daniel Dàk... Lets get started then..." Everyone held each others hands under the table. Aaron held Peytons, Maya held Atticus's, And Jin had Katlyn... "I Daniel Jayded Dàk leave the rest of my prized possetions to the following people... To my wife of over 6 years I leave our house and my half of our shared account. Alongside half of my life savings to split amoung you and the kids. 96k. So 32k for all of you... Some to make up for my income and some for the kids college accounts... To my son Atticus I leave my fathers old watch, and my dogtags, as long as my wardrobe should you fit in it someday... And to my unborn child. I leave the naming up to your mother... So if in a few years you hate it, I am not to blame... I also leave to my unborn child my compas. It has led me to the right path everytime. May it lead you and your brother to a great life... For my dearest sister Katlyn Dàk I leave my dance card that I won on the radio 3 years ago. You have always been mad that I beat you to caller 9. It is an unlimited pass. And I know how much you want to pursue you career as a dance instructor, so I leave it to you. Along with my old tool box. You were always an inovator as kids. And you always called me over to fix things. Here is a chance for you to try it out... To Jin I leave my car. I would give it to Maya and Atticus though Maya has one and by the time Atticus or our new child learns to drive it will probably be dead like me... So I leave it to you. It has a few screws loose but is great if you get used to it. Kind of how when I met you. No offence" Everyone paused to laugb, even Jin. "And last to my brother Aaron Dàk, and his wife Peyton. I leave my dog Kenai. I know what your gonna say. He didn't have a dog. Well I was training one in Vietnam to use for sniffing Bombs. Sadly he won't listen to anyone but me. So they put his training on hold when we were busy in Japan. Now if I have died and am not able to fufill his training they will be putting him down unless you are willing ro take him... And to Both you and Peyton, I leave the paperwork for an eye pressidure in november. After Peyton has the baby. It took me a long time to get her in. But I found the one that can regain her vision... He was also a german shepard, he was 3 years old. Tonight they were able to go to sleep happier than they have ever been in. a long time. With a bright, visable future ahead for Peyton. Aaron layed Peyton down in their bed and tonight he held her closer, and kissed her head. He couldn't help but smile for hours even after she fell asleep. With Kenai and Atka at the foot of the bed. And Maya had Atticus in her room that night. They weree curled together. As for Jin and Katlyn, they were sound asleeo with their cat Nya... For once they had a sense of closer and peace...
