Angel stared awkwardly into the grass, watching the worms wiggling around in the dirt. She couldn't face Finn after what had happened between them. All the emotions she was feeling made her head pound and ache, she touched her fingers to her lips, she could still feel the kiss.
She moved her fingers away when Finn looked at her, he also seemed to be embarrassed. She wasn't surprised, after all, he didn't seem like the type to have kissed someone before, but then neither did she.
She watched Finn carefully, he was deep in thought. Then suddenly he snapped his head up to meet her gaze, and before her very eyes, he blushed a bright pink. Something miraculous happened, his ears grew very long and his eyes shone ruby red. His nose caved in to resemble a smushed lump with two slits for nostrils and his mouth had sharp fangs in them, he then grew course fur all over his body.
"Finn?" Angel tilted her head curiously, Finn had shrunk considerably, this was a form of his she hadn't seen. Finn didn't answer her, instead, he curled in on himself and tried to hide. Angel smiled and poked him, "Finn, are you okay?" She whispered, Finn only shuddered in reply.
Angel sighed, "Oh well, guess I'll just leave you out in the cold then." She started walking away, Finn made an animalistic noise and followed closely behind, his stubby scaley legs thumping in the dirt. Angel glanced down at him, "So...do you do this when you're embarrassed?" She asked, Finn refused to look at her.
Angel took note of this for future reference, after that she grabbed their backpacks and turned to face Finn fully. "We've got a bit of a journey ahead, I don't quite know where we are going, but something, just something tells me, that I'll know when we get there." Finn looked up at her, he nodded quietly and flew up onto her shoulder with his little wings, Angel groaned. "Even though you're small, you're still heavy Finn." Finn pouted in a babyish way, Angel stared blankly at him for a moment before shrugging, "Okay fine, whatever, I guess you can stay on my shoulder for a little while." She said, then they were off, walking down the dusty road towards a new place.
