The woods were dark, Finn looked around nervously. The shadows of trees loomed over him, he felt like something was deeply wrong here. Finn kept walking until he reached a giant tree, then he sighed. "I'm never going to find her like this," he muttered. Then he had an idea, the transformation was painless, as he had done it so many times before. His body cracked and creaked into place, wings protruding from his back, soft and pale in the light.
He ran through the forest, chasing her scent until he lost it. "Where is she?!" Finn was getting frustrated at the situation, he needed to find her soon. '𝑈𝑝,' The voice was firm, Finn trusted it. He gazed into the sky, the stars twinkled back at him. "I will find you, Angel." He whispered to himself, launching into the night air.
Angel's hair whipped around her, the descent from the sky was slow. She thought about Finn in the passing seconds "I wonder what he is doing now?" She said quietly, then closed her eyes again, waiting for the impact.
Finn's eyes went wide as he saw Angel sail downwards, he raced as fast as he could, streaking across the sky like an airy bullet. He stretched out his arms, grabbing her just before she hit the ground. He shuddered with relief and gripped her roughly, Angel opened her eyes and stared up at him with wonder "You saved me?" She said, Finn grinned, "No matter what happens Angel, I could never let you fall" Angel smiled up at him. Finn looked down at her lips then back up to her eyes, only to see her doing the same.
Slowly but surely, Finn leaned in, thoughts whizzed through his mind at a mile per minute, but he paid no attention to it. Then as Angel closed her eyes and her lips locked with his, Finn realized that some moments don't require thinking.
