Angel couldn't breathe, her eyes fluttered open and closed as the ground got closer. This was it. There was nothing she could do, she just hoped that maybe the fall wouldn't kill her. Angel waited for the impact, but it never came. Instead, she could feel a gentle breeze on her face, slowly, she opened her eyes and gasped. They were soaring through the sky, she could see all of RavenHill below them.
Too shocked to scream, she looked at Finn, he was carrying her, his arms were wrapped around her waist, which she would've protested, yet she was too busy staring at the giant feathered wings protruding from his back.
That's when she found her voice "WHAT THE-," Angels shout surprised Finn and for a moment they wavered in the sky. They were both silent for a moment, trying to assess the situation, but Finn was the first to speak.
"I have no idea what's going on right now, but I'm definitely not in control of my own body and I don't know where we're going."
Angel wasn't paying her full attention to what he was saying, she was more focused on his tightening grip on her body "um...Finn?" she said gently
He looked down at her for a second "what?"
She sighed slightly "can you please try to find a place for us to land soon?"
He frowned "why?"
She raised an eyebrow "because you're hurting me with how hard your grip is on me".
Finn's face went red "oh, um sorry."He loosened his grip slightly.
"I think I could land over there?" Finn pointed over to a small clearing in the trees below them, Angel nodded "yeah, that looks good".
But before he could figure out how to safely land, they heard shouts behind them, Angel turned to look and saw three figures behind them "Finn... there are people behind us."
Finn frowned "people?"
Angel's eyes widened "well if people have wings." She screamed as something grabbed her leg, one of the flying creatures had fastened it's bony claw of a hand around her ankle. She tried to shake her ankle free but made the mistake of looking at the thing. It's sunken eyes and sharp face made her freeze for a second, that second was all it needed to yank her leg back and send her and Finn hurtling towards the ground.
