Cruel!!!
The best description of Fate. And anyone who overcomes fate for the better is the biggest winner of all. However, is it really that easy to do?
As for the people of the lower worlds, fate is something really important from the very start. Everyone is born equal, and this is the truth for exactly an hour. Every newborn baby is protected by a layer of aura that protects them from everything. No amount of damage can be used to destroy it. Everything else after that, fate kicks everyone in the balls who are unlucky.
The curator never understood their chairman's thinking. It's been 20 years after the silver orb has been on their master's palace. He was frustrated at first because all of the weapons were given to the orb without question. Not only that, he was tasked to gather more weapons and gave it to the orb on a quarterly basis. He joked to himself that he should call himself the gatherer and not the curator anymore. After some time, he learned many things about the orb from the chairman or sometimes from the orb guardian spirit.
Osiris, the silver orb as it is called, is something very mysterious. Even the guardian spirit or the guardian spirit's master only know some things about it. The curator often studies it by looking at it after it absorbs the weapons given to it. There are many different reactions that the orb showed over the years. Sometimes, it bursts to different colors. Sometimes, it turns small or as big as the empty space of the great hall. It is very bizarre.

"My lord." A soldier greeted as he knelt down.
"Rise up. What's the situation??"
" My lord, we have subdued the monsters along this part of the forest." Replied the soldier as he shows the part of the forest map that he held.
"My lord, I think we need the army to retreat more to Lord Cromwell's town. I think that southern part of it would be their first destination before they come spreading to our west and east side of the land." Advised a general.
"Setup the formation to message Cromwell. General please gather more reinforcements and follow me to help him. We can't let him fall down or we will be next. Go, hurry up." Ordered the white-armored man to the soldier.
'I hope we can make it in time. Brother you must hold up your defenses.'
The soldier hurriedly went out after he saw his lord quickly message Lord Cromwell. A hidden smile appeared after he left the north gate. 'I have done my job beautifully. Let's see if that man really is a man of miracle.'

"My lord, preparations are complete" a soldier reported.
"Good work… Go to your stations now my brothers. Wait for further orders." Raygen replied and ordered his generals.
'Something is rather odd with this', Raygen thought. His instincts are better even for veteran soldiers when it comes to war. He went to the master bedroom and opened a chest under the bed. He carefully retrieved a golden box underneath it. 'Better bring this with me'.
"My love… what are you doing?" a lovely voice sounded behind him. He turned around and found his pregnant wife standing behind him bewildered why his husband is looking for something under the bed.
"It's nothing my love. Just couple of things that was left behind by my father. Come and sit down, let me hug you and my child." He gently helped her sit down and carefully brought his head at her belly.
"What's happening outside??? I saw your general's faces when they walked out. They look like some thugs about to beat up someone.", she commented.
"Nothing your husband can't handle. Rest assured. Stay here and I'll go tell grandma Reggie look after you." Raygen assured his wife before giving her a tender smile before walking out.
{Curator's Hall}
"Curator, I think the plan will start after some days. Please gather the last batch of materials to the orb.", the guardian spirit informed the curator.
"Ok.. I guess it's all up to fate now.", the curator sighed.
"You are wrong curator… As my master always says ' fate is a factor… not the decisive end".
