Chapter 4 - I Hate That

Before he attacked Herald, Raygen threw a small ball beside his unconscious wife creating a shield enveloping her. Herald just laughed it off seeing this and began dodging Raygen's attacks with ease. Raygen kept on attacking without saying anything, but seeing that his attacks can't reach his opponent he jumped backwards creating a distance between them.

'Wind Element Conjure.' Strands of short green lights formed in his back while his body and his dull-looking sword began to emit green aura. "Let's see how you dodge this." He attacked once again, this time he was so fast, he appeared in front of his opponent and gave him a vicious hit. Completely caught off guard, Herald received the attack and was sent flying through the other side of the room.

Raygen stood there after and the huge hole in the wall never left his sight, as if he was waiting for something. Soon enough, a deafening laughter was heard and a cold dark aura started to appeared from the hole.

"Good, Good, Good." He said, still lying on the floor. "Seeing that you began attacking seriously all of a sudden, I began to feel excited that I let my guard down. Good, you are what they say you are. This is what I came here for, you really are strong." He slowly stood up, a huge wound on his chest came into view. He tapped his bracelet and three gem-like spheres flew out. He displayed them on his right fingers for Raygen to see as if mocking him. His wound started to heal and slowly close.

Raygen was still quiet as if what his opponent did was normal. He also retrieved a gem and swallowed it. 'I thought so, a parasite demon. If it was a greenhorn one, he won't be needing a healing gem. I'm still fortunate it wasn't a crown demon. But I still need to finish this fast.'

"Another round then, My Lord" he said, a halberd instantly appeared. A wide smile on his face as he prepared to attack Raygen.

Grandma Reggie carefully put down the young lord on a small crib and put down the small box beside him. She carried the crib and went closely to the window, carefully inspecting below then looking to the forest far past the town gates. 'Evil shits always attacks when you least expect them. Damn it'. The old woman can't help but curse at their situation. She picked up the box and opened it. She found a golden crystal engraved with their family insignia inside it. She inspected it grew curious by the second. The old woman is about to return it back but she sensed something unusual.

"My Lord. "she greeted without turning her attention to the person behind. She is still looking far away in the distance.

"Have they arrived? Asked Raygen.

"Not yet, My lord"

"Give me the box." He commanded.

"Here My Lord", the old woman turned around and tossed the box.

Raygen caught the box, opened it immediately and found nothing. "You old bitch".

He expected a verbal reply, but nothing came. Instead, a lightning arrow rushed to him and impaled him to the wall.

"What are you doing old bitch?" the man asked coldly.

"You are not Raygen. He entrusted me to activate whatever inside the box so I am the only one who will do it until the end. Even if you are the real one, not asking about your son and not bringing your wife here deserves a beating. That's not enough, you even called me a bitch, I hate that", the old woman slowly said as she was preparing to launch another attack.

"You are an old bitch, what's wrong with saying that… hahahaha…" the man pulled the arrow out and crushed it.

Grandma Reggie is about to attack again when she felt something outside. Out of reflex, she turned her head to the window and saw many monsters emerging from the forest. 'Holy shit'. She tried to get the crystal beside the young lord but before she can grab it she was forced back by the man.

"No, No, No old bitch. Why are you ruining the fun?" He grabbed her and slammed her to the ground. He then asked, "Where is it?"

"Who are you really?" the old woman asked with difficulty.

"Me? Oh!" he knelt down and his face began to change into a new form.

"I am a Demon."
