{God Fiend Battlefield, Higher World}
This should have been a place of baptism for young warriors of the higher world. This is where mountains and forests reside with powerful old monsters but even they could not escape the tragedy of what happened here 20 years ago. These uneven grounds are now filled with dark aura.
If someone could observe from above, he could see that this vast desolate land is divided into two parts. The other side was filled with different sizes of ice pillars while the other side stood a lonely ice pillar but it is somewhat higher as if looking down like a king.
This lonely pillar suddenly broke into pieces like glass breaking. Out of the falling debris is a man kneeling. There was no clothing on his entire body. With a wave of his hand, a huge mass of air surrounded his body. This mass solidified and turned into armor. It only took a second, but the mass of air dropped from his body like water. The man frowned and just stood there for a while.
"So where should I go?"
The man touched his right shoulder where there is a magic staff tattoo with a grayish color. Upon touching it, the tattoo turned into a bright orb and transformed into a meter size staff with a white rock on its end. It exuded a whitish aura giving it a majestic feeling. He then hit the floor with the other end of his staff and a circular portal appeared before him.
"Time to go home", right after he spoke those words, continuous explosion were heard. The man turned around and saw six monsters emerging from the debris. Their bodies were too bulky for a seven meter titan. The monster in front threw a huge rock after he saw the man.
"Minute Turn". The man casted a spell. The six monsters were sucked in a vortex and once again turned into ice pillars. The man acted to receive the huge rock barehanded, however, after casting the spell, he felt so weak. The rock sent him flying into the portal that he created and closed after. Silence once again descended in the desolate lands.
"Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit." the man inwardly cursed.
{Hopeful Light Town}
Raygen Cromwell has been sitting at the center of the war council room for a while now. After their last minute preparations, his 7th General reported to him and also joined him at the room. After some time, they both heard someone running towards the room. A loud knock invaded as a soldier requested to be granted permission to enter.
"Come in." replied Raygen. "What's the matter?"
"My lord, Madam Reggie requested your presence. She said that it was of utmost importance." reported the young soldier.
"Good… go tell General Clave to come here and be in charge." He ordered the soldier as he turned his attention to the old general in the room. "Come with me".
"Yes, my Lord."
{Cromwell Main Family House}
"Where are they?" Raygen questioned a passing maid holding a lot of towels as he entered the hall.
"My lord, they are in the main bedroom. Please come with me." The maid replied as she led the way to spacious room. Even before entering the bedroom, sounds of a crying baby are heard.
"I guess you are really lucky my lord. You were just on time." Grandma Reggie teasingly told Lord Cromwell.
Raygen couldn't hide his joy and went to carry his new born son. He really was blessed. He then checked his wife in the bed if she's okay. 'There are no complications... Thank God'. He felt a sense of accomplishment he never felt before.
But that feeling didn't last long as he quickly returned the boy back to Grandma Reggie's arms. He then put a box in the boy's shining body and said something to the old woman telepathically.
"Go to the highest tower and activate this if you see a bunch of monsters in the distance. Please protect my son Grandma… Go now… I'll protect my wife here"
The old woman nodded and ran straight to the second door at her back. She never looked back and never saw the maid dying with her throat sliced open by the old general who were with the lord just a moment ago.
"How did you know, my lord?" A smile appearing on the old man's face.
"Cut the crap, Herald. I have let down my guard because of my son, yes, but, that overwhelming killing intent ruined your chance old man." Raygen said with an angry voice, a sword suddenly appeared at his right hand.
"Herald??? Oh this old man… Oh… Long gone my lord… that weak fool is long gone." A smile still present at his face.
"Oh…" Raygen gained a sudden realization. " Then there is no need for further talk… I just need to kill you, that's all.
"Right talking is for losers. Let's see what you got, my lord." A hint of mockery in his voice.
"Receive my sword."
