Bill slumped next to me, "So, who do you think won that?" Naomi pointed at him, "As much of a powerhouse Akumura was, I think you had him beat." Akumura looked at Bill, "Yeah, most people don't really look at my hands while I'm fighting. The fact you knew I had a weapon actually caught me off guard." Bill slumped over and scratched his head, "Well, I tend to pay attention to smaller details. It's a blessing and a curse. I can easily deduce certain things easily, but when it comes to larger details and an obvious larger picture, I have trouble." Akumura just kind of grunted, and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles. They were painted black, "I got these from the Black Hoops. Stole them while a majority of them were out doing whatever the hell it is they do." Naomi crossed her arms, "Yeah, we all know they do this thing called a whole lotta nothin most of the time." Bill shook his head, "Before I met Jamie, I ran into them once. I was nearly to death before the police showed up and arrested most of them." Scorpio took off her eyepatch and looked at Bill, "Yeah, he's telling the truth."
"NAOMI HEIWAGIMA AND JAMIE CHARLESTON!" I looked at Naomi, "I guess it's our turn."
"So it is."
We both walked to the edges of the grass. "You may start when ready." I pulled down the back of my shirt and let my wings out. "Oh you little-" Naomi ran at me, but wasn't quick enough to keep me on the ground. I shot down at her, and hit her in the chest. She immediately got up as if I didn't even do anything, and jumped at me again. This time, I wasn't quick enough to dodge. She grabbed my shirt, and pressed her hand to my abdomen, "Katta." I felt her move her hand a small bit forward, but the force that came from it had to be similar to a heavyweight boxer's. I flew back, and barely managed to regain my footing. I started running toward her again, using my wings to help speed myself up, but again was met with a hand to my abdomen. This time, she hit harder. I flew to the other end of the stadium, and hit a wall. "You-"
"Alright, that's enough!" I coughed, and started walking back to the stands.
I slumped on my bed, "I mean, do you have any idea how she could've done that?" Scorpio and Bill shrugged. Brit didn't look up from her book. "It seemed pretty simple to me. If I were a little more powerful, I'd bet I could do something like that. It was merely a matter of energy control." Scorpio looked at Brit. "Great, so now we have some kind of Hamon thing to learn." Brit looked up for a second, "What's a Hamon?"
"Never mind. What I'm saying is that you make it sound like we have to learn some bullshit anime power or something."
"Oh, no. It's more just, keeping your body in peak condition. That allows you to control the amount of kinetic energy you can release easier. The fact Naomi had to grab you means that she doesn't have it down completely, but is pretty good at it." I looked at her, "How do you know so much about this stuff? I mean, no offense, but you said it yourself, you're the youngest person in this school."
"Well, my dad is one of the original four creators of the Universe. I don't get to see him that much, but he occasionally came to see me, and when he did, he taught me some things." We all looked at her. I was at a loss of words. We were in a room with the offspring of what I can only assume was 1/4 of God. That's like, 1/2 Jesus. Scorpio got up, "Well, speaking of Naomi," She pulled out her phone, "she told me to meet her by the arena. Anyone care to join?" I shook my head, "No, I've got to rest. I have a huge ass bruise on my back because of her anyway." Bill sighed, "Well, I'm going with. If it's something that happens after dark at a school like this it's gotta be interesting." Scorpio turned her head, "What about you Brit?" She shook her head, "Chasan told me to go to his office later, apparently my dad is going to be there and we need to talk about something."
"Oh, alright then. Good luck with that." Bill put on the pair of sunglasses he stole, and walked out with Scorpio.
