Chapter 7 - Ch.7| Take Him.

It had been a week since he called David, he was used to waiting but he felt weird since he knew David was usually quick about these things. David hadn't even texted him, although maybe he was having trouble with getting a list of kids to adopt. David liked to deliver everything at once when he got multiple requests.

Arius decided to give him a call, he sat down on his new spiny chair and took out his phone. He saved David in his contacts so all it took was one click. After awhile of ringing, David finally answered.

"Davey~! It's been a week!" Arius whined. When it came to the people he was close to, he acted rather childish.

"Oh! I almost forgot about you." David anwsered apatheticly.

"Oh?" Arius felt wronged, how could David forget him!? He raised him!

"Don't worry, I have your diploma and license. It just... I've been preoccupied with something pertaining to the orphanage I found." David admitted.

"What happened?" Arius's attention was drawn out. What could make Davey completely forget about him?

"Well it has to do with a certain child. They don't know his name and he won't really tell them anything. He also has no records and no one has claimed him." David had most likely given all of his attention to this child, he was rather kind hearted.

"I want him." Arius decided immediately.

"Jar- Phil," David was momentarily taken aback, before he continued, "You can't just have him."

"I'll give you a bunch of cash to give to the orphanage, you can say you're taking him temporarily." Arius explained seriously.

"It won't work, but fine" David gave in reluctantly. Unfortunately he could never refuse Arius.

"Thanks Davey~! I'll be at your house to pick him up!" Arius exclaimed happily.

"Wait, I moved. I'll send you the address." David quickly told him.

"Mhmm~!" Arius hummed.

"Bye." David sighed.

"Bye-bye!" Arius said back before David hung up. Arius was a lot like a spoiled brat, but that didn't mean he spoiled brats. He was good with children, and he had a lot of practice too.

Over the phone, David made the kid sound shy. Arius was good with children so he was positive he could make him open up.

He looked at David's text as he got dressed. So a rich neighborhood, aye? David was a rich man. He went down the stairs fully clothed and got out the door. Although Philip was only sixteen, he had both a full license and an expensive car.

Arius hopped into the car and found his keys in the glove box, odd placement, but oh well! He started the car and left. How was he supposed to get there? Well, he had lived for so long so he could probably figure it out.

It took two hours for him to finally get to David's house. Two hours! He really needed to hire a driver. He got out and knocked on David's door, David's wife answered.

"You must be Philip! I'm Win." Win smiled.

"Nice to meet you Win. Now where's my kid?" He said eagerly.

"Follow me..." She felt awkward with his response. He seemed a little too excited. She walked inside with him closely following behind.

The scene he walked in on was rather... weird. A kid around the age of 5 sat across from a man in his early thirties. They seemed to be having a staring contest.

"Uh, Dave?" Arius questioned him but got no response.

"David!" Win yelled to get her husband's attention. To which he looked up, albeit a bit too quickly. Arius was a tad proud of his daughter-in-law's ability to control her husband.

"Oh, Phil is here." David said plainly, making Arius feel worthless.

"This is the kid?" Arius went straight to taking about the kid.

"Take him." David desperately begged.

"Wh-"

"Please just take him." He begged again.

"Okay..." Arius was stunned. He was brought out of shock when he noticed the kid sulking.

"This is your new guardian." David looked towards the kid seriously as he pointed to Arius. In response, the kid nodded sadly. David seemed regretful for a moment when he looked at the young boy, but then came back from his thoughts.

"Hey buddy." Arius squatted down.
