"Wait, where are we going?" Arius was looking around outside at the lack of buildings.
"I told you it was a rural area." Pierre kept his eyes forward.
"This is too much!" Arius complained. "She has so much space to run away!"
"Don't worry." Pierre sighed. "She should be near a building, she's within the fence of that building too."
"A building? Out here?" Arius was sceptical.
"It's an abandoned one, in good shape though." Pierre looked over his shoulder at Arius for a moment.
"I can see it!" Dante said as he leaned to the side to see through the front windshield.
"An old factory?" Arius's expression turned thoughtful. "Did I run them out of business or something?"
"You overestimate your damn companies." Pierre helplessly shook his head.
"Shut up." Arius told him before something caught his eye. "There she is!"
As the car pulled up onto the vacant property they could see a girl behind a chain link fence leaning against the building. She seemed to have been waiting for them.
"Let's go then." Pierre put the car in park and then got out.
"Stay here." Arius told Dante before jumping out. Dante didn't reply, he simply sat watching them through the window.
Arius passed Pierre and made his way towards the girl, Zuna. Pierre had stopped a while away behind him, wanting to stay out of Zuna's range of death.
"Long time, no see." Arius smiled as he walked closer.
"It's only been about two weeks." She looked over at him and rolled her eyes, she was beautiful but Arius mostly thought she was cute. "In immortal time, that's short."
"What a jok-." Arius tripped. It didn't seem significant at first, but then he started cursing. He had fallen onto his knees, so he moved into a sitting position. A small amount of blood dripped from his leg, embedded under the skin was a rusty nail. Wait, he hasn't had his tetanus shot, not that he needs it though.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't think that would happen!" Her earlier attitude completely vanished.
"It's... fine" Arius said through gritted teeth. If either of them had looked towards the car at that moment, they would see a small boy evading Pierre as he ran in their direction.
"Phil!" Pierre's not so distant voice could be heard, making both Arius and and Zuna loook in his direction. Ah, it was too late though. The color started draining from both their faces.
Dante had gotten closer to Zuna than Arius, but then he also tripped. Arius tried to reach out and prevent the fall but he wasn't close enough. Despite his injured leg, Arius quickly inched towards Dante who landed face first on the ground.
"Dante!" Arius screamed with worry. The feeling subsided only slightly as he watched the boy pull himself from the ground. "Are you okay?"
"You aren't!" Dante looked up at him. The boy crawled over to his leg, while Zuna backed away from the both of them. "Hold still."
"Dante! What are you do- Ah!" Arius screamed as Dante put his small hand on the wound. He was too late to try and move Dantes hands when the boy suddenly pulled the nail out. Blood gushed out from the wound, it was rather unsightly. "Are you trying to kill me!?"
"Shut up." Dante had a look of displeasure, but he seemed focused on Arius's leg. It would take about half an hour to actually heal it completely though. Still, he did what he could at that moment.
"Dante." Arius tried to get his attention. It was odd that the feeling of pain wasn't as intense as before. He didn't get any response from Dante, but Pierre did come racing towards them after Zuna got a good several meters away.
"Phil..." Pierre stepped forward. "Should we go to the hospital?"
"Just kill me!" Arius didn't even bother, dying and then coming back to life seemed like the easiest thing to do.
"How? You want me to put the nail into your head?" Pierre nervously asked as he picked up the nail.
"What?! No!" Arius screamed at him. "My brain needs to stay intact!"
"Both of you need to calm down." Dante said without taking his eyes off Arius's wound. The bleeding had actually stopped. "Just hold still, I know what I'm doing."
