The room was enveloped in silence with Su Lin and Ben staring at each other calmly. Su Lin was the one who broke the silence first.
"Do you have a computer?" Su Lin asked.
Ben nodded his head and went down the hall to his bedroom. A moment later, he came out carrying a small laptop in his hands. He walked up to Su Lin and held it to him for him to take.
Su Lin thanked him and took the laptop out of Ben's hands. He then sat down on the couch next to baby Quinn and settled himself down.
Ben, who had left the room when he gave Su Lin the laptop, came back donning an old jacket.
"I'm picking up a few things from the store," He informed Su Lin before he too left the small, second floor apartment.
Su Lin opened up the laptop and went to the search engine. He searched up a bank and created an account for himself and baby Quinn.
'System,' Su Lin called.
"Yes Host," System said.
'Can you transfer the money Luca had in his account into mine?' Su Lin asked.
"I can Host, give me a moment." System answered.
A moment later, a ding sounded. Su Lin looked at the amount and saw a measly sum of $1,500.
'This is all he has?!' Su Lin yelled at System incredulously.
"Yes Host, please remember that the original host to this body was treated as air by his family,"
System whimpered at his Host's abrupt anger that was directed at it.
'I know but even if that was the case, he was still a young master of one of the richest families in the world. For him to just have this pitiful sum is just downright sad.' Su Lin thought.
System silently agreed with him but then asked, "Host, why not you just use Luca's account. Why make another one?"
Su Lin looked in front of him in disdain and sneered. 'Are you not a system? If so, why do you always ask these common sense questions? Did you perhaps fail out of System training?' Su Lin thought that was the reason why system acted so stupid.
"Host, you don't have to be mean about it." System was depressed at his Host's cruel words.
Su Lin rolled his eyes and paid no mind to it, 'Luca's account is probably connected to the one of his family members. Let me tell you, if they see that the account had accumulated so much money, they would be suspicious.' He explained.
"I see, but then if the whole account is empty, wouldn't that also be suspicious?" System asked.
'No, in fact, if the money still remained, that would be even more suspicious.' Su Lin sneered at the System's idiocy.
System, catching the look Su Lin was directing at him was even more depressed. "Host~"
'If the money still remained, there would two possibilities that the Meade Family will fall on. One being that he was dead so he naturally couldn't use the money and two being that he found some kind of help so he doesn't need to use it. If the money is gone, that means that he is still alive somewhere.' Su Lin explained.
'No matter what, a thousand dollars won't sustain a person for too long, especially if there are two.
It only makes it worse that Luca is an Omega with a kid. So it will be extremely unlikely that he would get a job. All he is left to do is die from hunger.' Su Lin finished.
"I understand now Host," System said.
Su Lin ignored him and went opened up another page to a stock trade site. He made himself an account and started trading. He didn't use anymore than $1,000 and saved the rest t go shopping for new clothes for himself later. After he finished, he closed the laptop and looked down at baby Quinn who was fussing with his fists balled up.
Su Lin picked him up to see what was wrong. He sunk into his thoughts and remembered that baby Quinn hadn't eaten anything yet. Thinking back to his previous conversation he had with system about baby feeding, he laid baby Quinn on the couch and took off his shirt.
That left him bare with slightly plump, pink nipples poking out. They are bigger than a normal mans, Su Lin thought to himself as he poked them curiously. He then picked baby Quinn up and directed his mouth to one of his nipples.
The baby sucked on it for a while until his head started to fall. Su Lin pulled him up and laid him on his chest. He patted his back until baby Quinn burped. He set him down and watched as softly snored. Su Lin's eyes softened and leaned down to kiss baby Quinn's forehead.
After that, he reached over to his discarded shirt and threw it back on.
"Host, you can buy the clothes option from the store you know," System said as he watched Su Lin's movements. After being together for many years in the space. System and Su Lin bonded together so System watches what Su Lin does to keep him safe.
'I know, but if they see me wearing expensive clothing, it will be too suspicious." Su Lin said.
The 'they' he was referring to were obviously Rachel and Ben.
'Plus, I also want to save up my points to but something worthwhile,' Su Lin continued.
"I see," System said slowly.
Su Lin yawned and looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was almost 7 so he got up and walked over to the armchair, which had a small blanket draped over it, and picked it up. He then walked over to the couch and laid down flat with Baby Quinn between the couch and his body so he wouldn't fall.
Su Lin laid the blanket over both of them and moved around to get comfortable on the cramped couch.
When Ben and Rachel finally got home, they were greeted to the sight of a mother and his baby cuddled up together while they blissfully slept on.
