Chapter 29 - 2.8 Keith Luther

When SU Lin reached the restaurant, there wasn't a lot of people inside so it was easy to spot the man from the description Ben gave him.

When Su Lin's eyes fell on him, he paused. The man looked to above 6 feet tall in height and though he was covered in a suit, it couldn't hide his strong body that seemed to be about to burst from the clothes. He had lightly tanned skin and short, black hair that was greased to the back.

When the man glanced at him, all the hairs on Su Lin's body stood on end.

Having someone tell you what he looked like than seeing the real thing, was not enough to describe him.

All Su Lin could think about was how Ben was connected to such an overbearing man. Su Lin walked up to him and to the man's surprise, sat down right across from him.

"Are you the realtor Ben set up for me?" Su Lin asked even though he already knew the answer.

The man quickly composed himself and introduced himself. "Yes, you must be Luca right?" He said as he held his hands up for a handshake. Su Lin nodded his head and accepted the handshake and couldn't help but feel tingly when he felt the man's strong grip.

"Let me introduce myself," the man started to say, "My name is Keith."

"Well it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance," Su Lin lightly chuckled.

Don't get him wrong, after he spent years inside the space calming down after Ye Ren's death, he came to a conclusion that he would probably not be his only lover in the future. Su Lin knew that he was a man that needed another person by his side so he couldn't keep himself pure for only Ye Ren.

It was time to start fishing, but there would always be a place in his heart that would remember Ye Ren.

"What is you preferred price range?" Keith asked.

"I would be willing to go up to $250,000." Su Lin told him.

Keith nodded his head and continued.

"Do you know what you want in your apartment?" Keith asked as he got out a paper a pen to jot down notes.

"Yes, I want at least two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. I Ali want the place to be child proof." Su Lin said the basic requirements he wanted in the apartment.

"You have a kid?" Keith asked in shock. Though Su Lin's body was malnourished, you could still tell that he was fairly young, no older than 20.

Su Lin raised an eyebrow, "Yes, I have a son. He was born a few days ago." He said.

"Congratulations," Keith said as he chuckled, "Is your husband also coming?"

"No husband," Su Lin said softly but his eyes were filled with loathing. It went away as quickly as it had come but Keith still caught it.

"I'm sorry," Keith said as he reached over to pat Su Lin's shoulder to comfort him.

"It's fine, you didn't know," Su Lin sighed as he shook his head.

"Should we start now?" Keith asked as a way to change the subject.

"Yes, let's go," Su Lin got up from his seat and followed Keith out the door.

Keith opened the passenger door in his car and waited for Su Lin to get in before he too got in.

Both men spent the the afternoon looking at apartments before Su Lin finally settled on that was in the perimeter of the city. He signed the papers and paid the money before Keith gave him the keys.

"If you ever need to move again you can give me a call," Keith said as he handed Su Lin his business card. The young father had left a favorable impression on him. He was not like other Omegas that he encountered who fell at his feet and begged him to marry them.

Instead, it was like he had an unreachable aura. He didn't go out of his way to fond over him and held his own.

"Thank you," Su Lin said as he accepted the platinum colored business card, "I will call you when I need to move." Su Lin said.

Keith caught how he said 'when' as if he already knew that he was going to !over again but didn't question him about it. It was his personal situation after all.

Keith drove him back to the restaurant and waved him bye before he left.

Su Lin looked at the setting sun and felt fatigue take over him. He knew that he was going to have a long day tomorrow because he had to pick out the furniture for his temperary stay at the apartment.

Su Lin slowly walked back to the bar and slipped through the cracks of people to the back where the old door was locked. He took out the keys, unlocked it and headed up the steps to the green door.

When he opened it, he was met with the sight of baby Quinn sleeping on Rachel's lap as she sat on the floor. Ben was no where to be seen.

"Welcome back sweetie," Rachel greeted him.

Su Lin smiled and walked over to the couch. He plopped down on the cushion and relaxed his tired limbs.

"Did you find an apartment?" Rachel asked him.

"Yes, I found one. I will be moving in tomorrow afternoon." Su Lin said.

"Aww, why not just stay for a bit longer," Rachel pleaded.

Su Lin shook his head, "I cannot selfishly intrude on you and Ben anymore."

Rachel pouted and handed baby Quinn to Su Lin.

Su Lin hugged baby Quinn close to his bosom and gently pinch his soft, chubby cheeks.

"Luca," Rachel called him.

Su Lin was surprised because this was the first time he heard her call him by his name instead of sweetie.

"Yes?"

"Please be careful," Rachel said softly before she got up and went to her room.

Su Lin didn't move for a while. He sighed and spread the blanket on both baby Quinn and himself before he drifted off to sleep with his mind full of jumbled up thoughts.
