The next morning, Su Lin woke up early and saw that Ben and Rachel were already getting breakfast ready.
"Good morning sweetie," Rachel smiled when she saw that Su Lin had awoken. Ben followed suit.
"Good morning," Su Lin returned back.
"Breakfast is almost ready," Rachel said.
Su Lin nodded his head and looked down at the still deeply sleeping baby Quinn. He then grabbed the laptop that he had placed on the coffee table the night before and opened it up to see how much money he earned.
'Good, at least it's at a decent starter amount,' Su Lin thought.
System looked at the screen and was shocked.
"Host, for you to turn $1,000 into $100,000 is amazing. How did you do it?" System asked.
'Business sense,' Su Lin replied simply.
"What are you going to do with it?" Sytem asked.
'I'm going to reinvest $50,000 and use the other half to buy a temporary apartment for baby Quinn and me until I earn more money.' Su Lin answered.
"Breakfast is ready," Rachel called before system could say any more.
Ben had three glass plates and cups and set then on the coffee table since there was not a dining room in the cramped apartment.
Rachel had carried the still hot pan into the sitting room and placed an egg on each of the plates with two strips of bacon. She then left the room again.
Su Lin lightly scrunched up his face and a disgusted look flashed across his face before it disappeared.
If there was one thing Su Lin loathed eating beside vegetables, it was pork.
Rachel came back with a jug of milk and poured it into all three glasses. Everyone then sat down around the small table and started eating the little food they had.
Su Lin ate a his eggs and drank his milk but left the strips of bacon untouched.
Ben noticed, "You don't like bacon?" He asked.
"Yes, I don't like it," Su Lin replied.
"You don't like bacon?!" Rachel exclaimed in shock.
Su Lin nodded his head.
Rachel then looked at him as if he was some weird creature.
"Rachel, leave Luca alone. Not everybody is as... entranced by bacon as you are," Ben said calmly.
Rachel ignored him and lowered her head to stare at Su Lin's plate.
"Well since you said you don't like it, I won't beg you to eat it. But since you aren't going to eat, can I have them," Rachel begged.
Su Lin nodded his head and pushed the plate over to her and watched as she devoured the bacon.
A moment later, Su Lin heard the sound of rustling behind him be turned around. Baby Quinn had woken up and was fussing with the blanket. Su Lin picked him up and felt that he was a little heavier than he was the night before. So he held him up high and smelled his butt. His face then srunched up and he lowered baby Quinn back down.
Ben saw his action and seemed to have remembered something because he got up and left the room. He then came back a moment later with a bag in his hand and gave it to Su Lin.
Su Lin looked inside and saw that there was a pack of diapers inside along with baby wipes and power. Su Lin thanked them and carried baby Quinn to the bathroom to change his diaper and take his bath.
Su Lin took of baby Quinn's clothes, leaving him with only his smelly diapers on. He then took them off on threw them into the bag that had carried the baby supplies. Su Lin wiped him down but didn't powder baby Quinn yet since he was going to take a bath.
Su Lin turned the bath on and waited until it reached the top before he placed him into the tub. Baby Quinn cried in delight as Su Lin splashed a little bit of water on to him.
Su Lin hurriedly took baby Quinn's bath and dressed him in another onsie that read 'I'm handsome and you know it.'
Su Lin didn't take a bath because he didn't have another change of clothes. He walked out of the bathroom and saw that Rachel and Been were watching the news on the television.
When Rachel saw that he came out, she smiled and beckoned him over. Su Lin complied and went over to the couch. He sat sat down with baby being held by him close to his chest.
"Rachel, Ben," Su Lin started.
"What do you need sweetie?" Rachel smiled as she turned to look at Su Lin. Be also tore his head away from the television and looked at him questionably.
"I want to thank you both for going out of your way to help baby Quinn and I," Su Lin said.
"Of course sweetie," Rachel waved her hand as if it were no big deal.
Su Lin continued, "I don't want to intrude any further than I already have so I'm buying my own apartment."
Rachel was shocked. "But the money~"
"I have enough," Su Lin interrupted, "I've been saving up my whole life so I have enough." He lied without batting an eye.
Ben was more calm than Rachel when he heard this news. "Have you started hunting yet?" He asked.
Su Lin shook his head, "not yet, but I've planned to start today."
Ben nodded his head and got up. "I know a guy who has a brother that is married to a girl that has a cousin that is a realtor. I can call him up of you want."
"That would be really helpful, thank you," Su said.
"No problem," Ben said as he went to his bedroom to make a few calls.
"Sweetie, are you really leaving?" Rachel sighed in sadness.
"Yes," Su Lin replied.
"But how will you make money?" Rachel asked worriedly.
"I have my ways," Su Lin said.
"That answer is not comforting," Rachel rolled her eyes at him.
Su Lin smiled and patted his shoulder, "I'll be alright, don't worry."
Rachel nodded her head and held both his hands, "If you need anything, you can always ask us." She said in all seriousness.
Su Lin nodded his head, acknowledging her words.
