Chapter Five –Limbo
"I see you, I see your perseverance, your strength, and your will, and I have decided to grant you a wish."
Aria is trapped in Limbo, and she is confused, all she can see is a bright red light, and she hears a voice from the light. Is she dead, is this hell, or is this a version of heaven? perhaps this purgatory, and her soul is damned eternally.
"Look up, child and look within. You have everything you need in you." The voice is feminine, soft, gentle, it is warm, can a voice feel warm? Aria exhales and she listens, she is not dead, and not being dead is a great desire of hers, so she listens.
"You want Vengeance, you shall have your heart desire. Along the way, you will find jewels, some disguised, some real, take your pick and stick to your choice. Humans talk about Predestination, like they understand anything about the divine, but they don't, I do, and as much there is predestination, there is also choice. Go, and when it is time, they will come."
This time Aria wakes up gently, she exhales, and she sits up, that was not a nightmare or a dream, it was a memory, a memory of her and the Moon Goddess. The Goddess saved her life, and bestowed her with powers, Aria can feel it, she can feel the power throbbing in her veins, the magic in her fingertips, even her Wolf can feel it.
She is a Witch, a reincarnated Witch, and a Wolf, she is a hybrid, and she is smart enough to know that being a Hybrid is very rare, hybrid children don't live long, they die before the age of five, but here she is, an hybrid adult. People will come for her, to take her power as their own, and she has to be ready, she will be. She gets down from her bed and walks around the Flynn Manor, heading to the kitchen, she has been living with Kael for few days now, he lives in the morning and comes back before five in the evening.
Exhaling, she take a bottle of Vodka, instead, and pours some into a cup, she wanted water, but this would do. Suddenly, she hears a sound, and it happens quickly, she raises her hand to the knife rack, moves her finger and the knife flies in the direction, stopping a hair breadth from the person.
"Shall we add Telekinesis to your powers, Aria?" He grins, pushing away the knife and it clatters to the ground. She stares at him, and she shrugs.
"I was not even aware of that, I guess we should." She smiles and he walks to her, and her smile falter, because the only thing she can hear is her wolf's growling, desperately wanting to be with her mate.
"Do you feel it too?" Kael whispers and she looks at him, eyes wide and he walks closer to her, with her back to the counter and she nods.
"Yes." She exhales and he nods, because he does not know what to say, where do they go from here? things are already complicated enough, and now, knowing that they are mates, this would drive them both insane.
"I – I do not expect any of you, we can just ignore – " He starts to say, but she cuts him off as she pull him to her by his slack and she kisses him. Kael gasps, and he steps back, breaking the kiss and she looks at him, and all he can do it look at her, she wants him as much as he wants her.
He smiles, carries her and place her on the counter, he steps between her thigh and he runs his hand across her face, relishing in the warmth of her, she buries her hand in his hair and he kisses her, deeply and inebriated, she kisses him back, and for the first time in their lives, they feel complete in each other's arms, getting lost in the ways they are. The ground shakes and they don't break apart, a thunder split the sky into two, and rain start, but they don't stop, their tongues move in tandem, and their hand explore each other's body, oblivious to danger they now face.

Far away from Salem, a gaunt and tall figure with crimson eyes awakens, he feels the ground being shaken, he hears the sky parting with a resounding force as loud rain fall. He gets up from his throne made of shadow and exhales. Morpheus knows the feel of power in the air, an inebriated power, one he aims to take for himself. He takes his scepter and slams it on the floor, at the center, calling every Shadow-born across the world.
"FIND THEM AND BRING THEM TO ME!" He screeches and the shadows go forth.
For the first time in two centuries, Morpheus feels hope, this is the way. He sits and he scrolls through the mental note as he reads up on them, his victim – Aria Wilder and Kael Flynn, the woman is the hybrid, she is a deviation from the natural law, from the order of things. She is a deviant, and this world has no room for deviants.

Meanwhile, back in the Manor's kitchen, Aria and Kael are still tangled up in each other, memorizing each other's mouth. Aria pulls away, gasping, in shock and so much pleasure, she has never felt anything like that, and she was with Ryker for four years, yet, she never felt toe curling pleasure like that. Kael is smiling at her, dazed. They both look outside, at the window, and they see it is raining violently.
"You seem to create magic whenever you are overwhelmed." He points out and she chuckles, thankful that he can't see her blush. Aria walks to the window, and she sees the rain through the dark, she exhales and calm herself, breathing in and breathing out, and slowly, the rain subsides. Kael looks at her in wonder as she walks to him and they spend the next hour talking, not knowing the danger they face.
