Chereads / The Body Thief / Chapter 6 - The Perfect Plan

Chapter 6 - The Perfect Plan

Taro sat on his bed, gripping the strange phone tightly. His mind was spinning with possibilities.

He had just experienced true power for the first time in his miserable life. With a single call, he could take over anyone's body. He had already tested it on his mother and Daichi. Each time, the original person blacked out, unaware of what had happened.

That meant no one would ever know if he used it wisely.

Taro smirked.

For years, he had been bullied, humiliated, and ignored. But now? Now he had control.

But he had to be smart. If he acted recklessly, people might notice strange things happening. He needed a plan.

His eyes landed on his cracked phone—his real phone, the one Daichi had smashed. The memory of the bullies laughing at him burned in his mind.

His fingers tightened around the mysterious phone.

It was time to get revenge.

The First Step

The next day at school, Taro kept his head down as usual, acting as if nothing had changed. The bullies, including Daichi, were laughing in the hallway, pushing a smaller kid around.

Just wait, Taro thought. Your time will come.

At lunch, he slipped into an empty classroom and locked the door. He pulled out the phone and scrolled through his contacts.

His heart pounded as he hovered over Daichi Sato's name.

He smirked. Let's ruin your life.

Taro pressed Call.

Darkness.

Inside Daichi's Body… Again

When Taro opened his eyes, he was in the school bathroom, looking at himself in the mirror. No—not himself. Daichi.

He grinned, flexing his fingers. The power in this body was intoxicating.

Now, it was time for phase one of his plan.

He pulled out Daichi's phone and opened the messaging app. He scrolled through the contacts, finding Daichi's girlfriend—Mai Tanaka.

She was the most popular girl in school. Beautiful, confident, and, from what Taro had heard, completely loyal to Daichi.

Let's see how loyal she really is.

Taro smirked and typed a message.

Daichi: Hey, Mai. I need to tell you something. Meet me behind the gym after school.

He hit send and put the phone away.

This was only the beginning.

To be continued…
