Evening comes, Hazel and Theo are still in the bedroom. They are both laying down on bed while the lady is busy reading a story book to the little boy. Theo snuggled under the blanket with his head out looking up at Hazel.
"Mama, do you love Papa like the princess in the story?" He innocently asked.
Hazel paused for a second. She didn't know what she was going to answer. Kids are curious and she did not want to ruin her reputation or Axel. The princess in the story sacrificed her royalty just to be with the poor prince.
With this thought, Hazel's eyebrows knitted. It's supposed to be Axel who looks like the princess' character. While she is like the prince, poor and ugly.
"Are you not hungry?" She asked, slowly closing the book while changing the topic. "We already read a lot of stories, Mama is a little tired." she added.
Theo crawled out from the blanket and gave her a tight hug. After that, a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Mama." He whispered.
Hazel melted from his cuteness and tickled the little boy as they both rolled and laughed on the bed. She can say that staying in this house for a few days made her forget the problems she is carrying. This home feels so comfortable.
Suddenly, a knock from the door surprised them both. It was Henry. The butler opened the door after knocking three times and then walked towards them. He smiled at Theo and then switched his eyes to the lady.
"Boss will be home soon. The young master should be prepared. Also, please fix your hair, Miss Hazel. The boss said that he wanted to eat dinner with both of you." He announced, still maintaining that blank expression on his face.
Hearing how Henry described her, Hazel sat up quickly and brushed her hair using her fingers. She didn't realize what she looked like because she is busy playing with Theo. She nodded her head and then said that they will be down in a minute.
They went to Theo's bedroom which is full of toys. Same blue walls she saw on her first day of work. The big closet is full of different clothes. Upon scanning those, she noticed something. All of Theo's clothes were black, white and gray. There are no different colors.
Looking at Axel, he is always wearing a black suit. Imaginations came to Hazel's thoughts unconsciously which she immediately ignored.
When they went down, the maids were already there. They are busy walking back and forth from the kitchen to the dining table. It seems that Axel will arrive any minute now. Hazel envy how rich Axel for a second.
The dining table is in another room. With a big circle table in the middle of the room under the chandelier. Everything, even the silverwares was expensive. All of the equipment in the kitchen was also completed. There is nothing more you will ask for.
Anyone would want a life like that. A rich businessman who is still on top of the business world. An Alpha who is respected by everyone. Someone who can get what he wants. A nice life Hazel could never have.
Then, a loud honk coming from outside tickled her senses.
Theo grabbed her and said. "Papa!"
The kid excitedly dashed to the hallway going to the front door. Hazel followed him, and there she saw the black expensive car with Axel coming out from it. His expression is annoyed as he grabs his necktie to loosen some air. His sleeves were rolled up and the black coat was missing. He walked in the pathway with his aura.
Theo let go of her hands and then ran towards his father. As soon as Axel saw his son, the expression on his face immediately changed. He took and carried Theo inside.
When Hazel met his gaze, she gulped and looked away. She waited for Axel to pass by before walking behind them. The Alpha's perfume left a tickling sensation on her nose.
Hazel was so busy following them that she bumped onto his back. When she looked up, Axel cupped her chin and then their nose touched.
"I'm home," Axel's low voice brought a snap to her ears.
Hazel was left in a daze. She is expecting a kiss but it did not happen.
"What are you doing? We are in front of the kid," Axel whispered next to her ears.
Hazel jolted and rubbed her ears, finally getting back to reality. She stepped backward leaving a space between them.
"Welcome home," she said.
After hearing that, Axel went back to Theo and continued talking to him. The boy mentioned the things they did until they reached the dining table. The maids served the food and then they ate.
"Papa, Mama said that she loves you very much," Theo said.
Hazel almost got choked onto her food. This made Axel look at her. Her cheeks blushed. She didn't mean it at all. She was just following Theo's wants according to the story they read earlier.
However, before she could even explain herself, Theo already looked at her.
"Right, Mama? Do you love Papa?" his eyes were twinkling. He is innocently waiting for a positive answer which he believes is the truth.
"Y-Yes," Hazel replied, swallowing her pride as she smiled.
Axel finds her expression amusing. A slant curve up his lips unconsciously. Meanwhile, the lady perceives it as a mockery. Her eyebrows knitted and then she looked away.
"If only I don't need money, I will not say it," she whispered to herself.
"I also love your Mama, Theo."
Hazel's ears perked up with pinkish blush appearing on her cheeks. The expression on her face quickly changed, and from Theo her gaze went straight to the Alpha.
She was left in a daze. Her blinks were showing how flabbergasted she is. Hazel wasn't expecting the Alpha to say something like that even though it's for Theo.
"I also love Mama and Papa!" Theo exclaimed, sweetly smiling to both of them.
