"Melissa is a poor wretch, who does not even have apeeny on her. When she was still married to my brother, she would reach out to beg my brother for money to spend. She was just amaid in our house, doing laundry, cleaning, cooking and landscaping. Whenever she's at home, our maids take a day off., my brother didn't marry a wife! He married a maid! She's worse than a maid!"

Ann laughed unrestrainedly, as she tried to expose Melissa's most unknown vulunarable side. Stripping Melissa of her dignity and glory by revealing her miserable and bleak past.

Yet, Melissa's gaze remained cold, unswayed by the barbs. Inside, a tumult brewed, but she refused to reveal even a flicker of pain.
