Evans' gaze remained fixed on the Rolls Royce until it vanished in the distance, swallowed by the thrumming city lights. He felt a hollow ache in his chest as the sleek car disappeared from view.
He didn't understand that feeling inside him.
When he finally returned to the present, Bruce was beside him, following Evans' stare but only catching a glimpse of the vanishing vehicle.
"Bro, don't tell me you regret divorcing her," Bruce said, his voice laced with disbelief.
"She deserves it! Look how she's playing both Willow and Mr. Smith in the same hall. Is that the kind of woman you want? She's a whore, can't you see?"
Well bruce assumed that there might be an ambiguous relationship between Matteo Smith and Melissa.
Evans gave him a cold sidelong glance." If you have nothing to say, better shut up... Or better still let's grab few more drinks."
