Chapter 58 - Awakening the Elf Girl V

The function of the mana threads was simple: they were collecting information and sending it back to D. All of this was made possible by the 'transfer' feature. Not only could it transfer energy, it was also capable of transferring data. He was scanning the girl's anatomy. This process took a full hour. After all, I wasn't just trying to open the girl's channels, I was also obtaining samples that would allow me to obtain her innate ability. Basically, I was filling my brain with information about the elf girl. This was necessary in order to be able to utilize a certain power I had obtained. In order to activate it, I needed detailed information about the elf girl's body structure and her blood. After all, I had a gigantic surprise in store for the intruders who were going to come for her. Finally, D's voice was heard:

- THE SECOND STAGE WAS A SUCCESS, THE FINAL STAGE WILL BEGIN.

D had finally obtained the necessary data, and now he would begin the important part of the process: finishing creating the channels and opening them enough so that the mana could flow through them without problems. The girl's channels were half-created, there were channels that did not connect correctly and there were missing pieces that still needed to grow, but the solution to that inconvenience was already in place. D went from transferring mana to transferring vital energy to the elf girl's body, but this vital energy was specifically transferred to a certain organ in the girl's body. All of that vital energy was being sent to the channels that were still in the process of development. The plan was simple: D would give her the necessary nutrients for the channels to grow, and in this way one could feel how little by little those channels slowly grew. It was more than clear that this process could not be carried out by ordinary people, since they would undoubtedly fail. Furthermore, the process of transferring life energy to another person was deadly if you went overboard with life energy, as each person's body has a balance of life energy that, if broken, will result in death on the spot or your lifespan will be drastically reduced. An example of this was my case: my balance was broken. The only reason I was still alive was because D was the one who kept the balance in check, thus preventing death. The channels through which mana flows generally grow with the body's nutrients. They could be considered an organ, as they are composed of a membrane similar to flesh.

The reason why I had chosen to have the flower neutralize the girl's pain was because the pain was unbearable. After all, mana itself is pure energy, and if we talk about the energy inside the cube, it was even purer than the energy in the atmosphere. According to D, if we hadn't used the flower's power, the girl would have felt as if hot water was being poured all over her body. It was obvious that it was going to hurt, and as a result, she might have gone mad. I can attest to that, as I could feel the injuries the elf girl had inside her, but those injuries were instantly repaired. Circulating large amounts of life energy through a person's body can cause wounds to heal naturally, it's like using 'regeneration', but it's riskier since the balance of life energy of each individual must be taken into account. At the same time, it's ineffective at least in my case, after all, I have the 'repairer' characteristic. After 20 minutes of hard work, D finally finished developing the missing channels and immediately proceeded to connect them with other channels that were already created. This process did not take him long, and once he finished connecting the hundreds of channels completely, he proceeded to drill the channels and shape them, since those channels were still missing the hole through which the mana would flow. The process of drilling the channels was extremely fast, since most of the mana that was circulating in the girl's body was used for drilling. The flower's voice could be heard interrupting:

"The effect will end shortly."

Once I heard the flower's voice, I immediately told D to finish quickly:

'Hurry up.'

If the effect of the flower's power ended and the mana that had been put into the girl's body was not extracted in time, the result would be chaotic. Fortunately, I could hear D's voice giving me good news:

- MANA HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY EXTRACTED.

Hearing those words, I let out a sigh of relief and finally opened my eyes. The elf girl was still sitting there with her innocent face. I turned to look at the flower with a human face and asked her a question:

"Time?"

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, it's over."

We almost didn't make it. If we had taken any longer, the elf girl would have experienced a traumatizing pain that would have scarred her for life. Once the process was complete, I immediately said loud enough for everyone to hear:

"It was a success."

Hearing my words, the royal family immediately breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed like the tension was killing them. Once I said that, I immediately told the elf girl to open her eyes, and when she opened them, I was shocked:

"Is class over yet?"

The girl's eyes were shining. Her light green eyes looked extremely beautiful. I replied:

"Yes, the extra class is over and you passed it with flying colors."

Hearing my words, the elf girl quickly got up from the ground and shot like a missile towards me. She grabbed me by the waist, clung to my clothes and started pulling me while saying in her excited tone of voice:

"Is that my present?"

Her question left me baffled for a few moments, but that didn't last long, as the elf girl pointed at the supposed gift and I immediately understood what she meant by 'gift'. I immediately replied to the elf girl:

"Of course I wouldn't give you such a horrible gift like that."

I said as I looked at the flower that was slightly away from us. It was still floating in the air; I hadn't let its roots touch the ground, as it might use some strange trick. My words seemed to annoy the flower again, causing it to become angry. Before the human-faced flower could do anything, I immediately snapped the finger of my right hand. A barrier immediately appeared, enclosing the human-faced flower.

Once everyone present realized that the flower had been enclosed in a barrier, they proceeded to approach. They weren't fools; they wouldn't approach a strange creature that they knew almost nothing about. Eryn was the first to approach and snatched the elf girl from me at incredible speed. She seemed adept at hugging her daughter and immediately began planting kisses all over the girl's face. It seemed like she was extremely concerned from the bottom of her heart.

Angrod had come up to me and stood beside me. He seemed to be staring at the flower. His gaze indicated that he was studying the flower. He was not the only one studying it; Idril, Maedhros and Naida seemed to have their eyes on it and were looking suspiciously at the being in question.
