Chereads / Wrong Reincarnation [OIMUHCAW] / Chapter 64 - Assault on the Mansion IV

Chapter 64 - Assault on the Mansion IV

Naida and Keijo had successfully evacuated everyone. Currently, there was no one left in the mansion. As they evacuated the various servants in the mansion, they could sense the different fluctuations of mana coming from one of the armories, where they normally kept the weapons that were no longer used or of no use. They knew that, without a doubt, a fierce battle was taking place in that place, but they chose not to go immediately, as they had noticed that the different spells that should be active to protect the mansion had been altered so that they would not work. Without a doubt, all of this was done when they entered the magic room. The two of them had to stay behind to repair the magic circuits that had been altered, as these very circuits were the same ones that prevented teleportation.

"If by pure chance these magic circuits were not working and someone tried to teleport, they would undoubtedly succeed," Naida said as she repaired the last magic circuit that had been altered.

"Without a doubt, this was their work."

The annoyance in his voice could be heard. On the other hand, Keijo remained calm and unperturbed; he only listened to the leader of the royal guard.

"Come on, Keijo, that repair is just a temporary measure. If they try mass teleportation, the circuits will undoubtedly break."

Naida knew better than anyone why they had tampered with the magic circuits that were engraved in the different parts of the mansion. After all, she had already heard from that white-haired, blue-eyed boy; he had said that they had scattered several teleportation scrolls around the mansion. Depending on the types of scroll, they could teleport up to 1000 people, and with how large the mansion was, it would be impossible for them to find the scrolls in time. Thus, the two of them left the area they were in and quickly headed to the weapons warehouse. It didn't take long for them to arrive, as they had run at top speed. Once they arrived, they quickly entered the armory, and what they saw left them greatly surprised. The reason for this was simple: the place was in a mess. The weapons and spears they kept there were all in pieces; others were in very small fragments. Traces of blood could be seen all over the area. They certainly did not belong to the being lying in the center of the armory. There he was, that boy with white hair and blue eyes. But there was something very different about him: his gaze and his expression were icy. It was as if he did not care about anyone else; it was as if he was looking at them as worthless things. Naida tried to break the silence, but that boy got there first.

- THREATS HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED.

Naida and Keijo were shocked when he spoke. His voice was strange; they had heard this boy's voice before, but this voice coming from him was very different. Just hearing that voice made their necks go cold and they could feel their hands shaking slightly, even though this individual was not emitting any kind of aura; not a shred of mana could be felt from him. Without a doubt, the two of them had the same thought, and it was that this was not the same person. Naida spoke; her throat had gone dry for some strange reason; she did not know what was oppressing her.

"I understand. And where are the bodies?"

- I AM NOT AUTHORIZED TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION.

Naida was confused by that answer she received; he was refusing to answer. Keijo was also confused by that answer; him saying that he was not allowed to answer a question only meant that someone had forbidden him to speak and he could not override that existence. Coming to that understanding, both of them frowned.

"What will you do from now on?" Naida asked. She had been ordered to give her support to that individual; therefore, she wanted to know what his next course of action would be, but what that individual blurted out left her cold; she could feel her body tense up at the information.

- THE LAST ORDER GIVEN BY MY LORD WAS: ELIMINATE THE INTRUDERS. SINCE MY LORD IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT, THE CHAIN OF COMMAND HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO ME. THEREFORE, THE INTRUDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO INVADE THE MANSION; THIS WAY IT WILL BE EASIER TO ELIMINATE THEM.

"That?"

"???"

Naida and Keijo were confused by the last statement that the white-haired and blue-eyed boy gave. Without a doubt, it had seemed to them that he had said that he would allow the invaders to teleport to the mansion in order to eliminate them. All they could do was wonder if they had heard correctly, and another thing that had caught their attention was that this being made mention of a 'lord', implying that he served someone. It should be noted that until today everyone believed that he did not serve any entity. Naida wanted to ask more about that statement he had made, but she did not have time, since in an instant they could hear a tremor in the distance; a tremor could be felt and heard; something seemed to be going through the walls at an incredible speed. The two quickly put themselves on guard. After a few moments, four figures appeared; they immediately realized that they were not people, but objects, or to be more precise, scrolls. These were wrapped in a sphere-shaped barrier each; Those barriers had passed through everything that stood in their way until they reached this place. They quickly realized who had been responsible, as the four spheres quickly approached the white-haired, blue-eyed boy. He quickly undid the barriers protecting the scrolls and took them in his hands.

- ACTIVATING TELETRANSPORT CIRCLES.

Naida and Keijo were only able to see what that individual was doing; he was in charge of calling the invaders. They could see how the magic circles began to appear on the ground; they were huge; there were a total of four. And, As always, they couldn't sense even a shred of mana in the process. The white-haired, blue-eyed boy spoke:

- I DO NOT REQUIRE SUPPORT.

Once the boy said those words, he snapped the fingers of his right hand and walls that formed a cube appeared; they covered the entire area where the magic circles appeared. The two of them had understood that he did not want them to interfere in the fight. It did not take long for multiple people to start to be seen; each person that appeared from the teleportation magic circle wore a black robe and masks; each one was possessed of an imposing presence; a total of 80 individuals had teleported within the warehouse. Most of those who had teleported seemed confused; murmurs could be heard in the area within the barrier.

"What are we doing in a gun shop?"

"I don't know; nobody told me anything about this."

"Did they make a mistake?"

Such conversations could be heard; they seemed to be confused by the fact that they had been teleported to the armory; after all, the locations they had been given that they were supposed to attack were not those. Soon, a tall figure, covered in a hood and a mask, spoke out of all the people who had been teleported. That person was the one with the least presence, but for some strange reason everyone fell silent the instant that person opened his mouth.

"Looks like elves aren't such idiots after all."

The person who seemed to be the leader of all the subjects who had teleported said. The subject's gaze was fixed on the two elves lying near the entrance of the armory; he had information about those two; they were none other than the leader of the royal guard, who was called Naida, and another one called Keijo; they had a lot of information about them, from their origin to their magical abilities. The person who seemed to be the leader of the invaders noticed something rather peculiar about the two elves: they were not looking at them; in fact, they seemed to be looking for something, or more precisely, someone. While he was thinking about that, someone else approached him; it was the person who had failed in the previous mission; it was Aris.

"Jalren, the barrier doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's worrying that they got ahead of us; I think we should turn back."

He suggested; worry could be heard in Aris' voice; it was more than clear that he was not comfortable with the current situation; his plans seemed to have been discovered; without a doubt, they were at a disadvantage. Hearing Aris' suggestion, it could be felt that the air seemed to suddenly become cold; the man who seemed to be the one with the weakest aura of all those present, suddenly everything around him became cold; his presence alone sent shivers down everyone's spine; all of this was witnessed by Naida and Keijo; they had been analyzing the newcomers; upon sensing their presence, they immediately realized that, without a doubt, they were going to require the entire royal guard to be complete in order to stand up to them; after all, among the guys who had arrived there were extremely skilled guys; each of the newcomers was, without a doubt, an expert in the art of war and assassination; the experience they had could be felt, and the guy who seemed to be the leader seemed to be in a league of his own. But what they had been looking for in the crowd of people that had teleported in to invade was not there; they had only taken their eyes off it for a few seconds, and when they tried to place their eyes on it again, it was no longer there, and they knew that trying to locate it through their mana was a waste of time.

"Where did he go?" Naida asked.

"I have no idea; I can't place him," Keijo replied.

"He won't have escaped-"

Just as Naida was about to get the thought out of her mouth that the white-haired, blue-eyed boy had possibly run away, she saw something that left her speechless; she saw a person, or more precisely, a little girl who was supposed to be with the king and his mother; she was there, among all those ruffians who had dared to invade the royal family's chambers.

"Impossible."

That was the only word that came out of the royal guard leader's mouth; she was in shock; she couldn't move from the sudden surprise; she never expected to see that person there. On the other hand, Keijo let out a curse as he prepared to break the barrier and enter. When he unsheathed his sword and tried to break the barrier, something happened; his eyes saw something that shouldn't be possible, something unheard of; he let out the same expression as Naida.

"Impossible."
