There was one thing I had to admit: the plan the flower with a human face had in mind was a good one. It was obvious that the flower was using its intelligence to get out of the problem it was in; controlling the elf girl was a good way to get out of its situation alive. I was increasingly surprised by the behavior of the demonic flower; it was irritating. I had only left it alive because I wanted its powers; after all, it was the first time I couldn't replicate an ability. It was more than clear that this flower was special in many ways; it was the first time I had encountered a beast with such a capacity for reasoning. It was interesting to see how it used its brain. It was more than clear that this thing had realized, observing all of us present, that we did not want to expose the girl to violence or bad words; that was why it chose to communicate with her and make it seem like I was the bad guy in the story. It was a rather curious way of twisting things. That flower certainly deserved an Oscar for her performance, but she was very wrong if she thought she was the only one who could use her brain to think. If he couldn't kill her in front of the girl, he just had to kill her in a place where she couldn't see.
'She is clearly desperate.'
With a quick thought, I moved the cube-shaped barrier and brought it closer to me. Everyone watched very carefully what I was doing as they stood close to me and seemed to not trust the toughness of my barrier as they were unable to sense how much energy was put into it. Of course, I did have faith in my barrier; after all, I had added a decent amount of mana. I was very doubtful that that flower could even scratch it. Once I had the barrier in front of me, a hole opened up and in a quick movement, I touched the trunk of the flower with a human face, and it disappeared in an instant. All that was left was a barrier floating in the air. Almost at the same time, I deactivated the barrier I had created with a snap of my fingers. I turned my head towards where the girl was and said to her:
"Pay no attention to that beast, Miss Lia. That thing is dangerous. She may look pretty on the outside, but the reality is that she eats defenseless children for breakfast who are fooled by her words."
The elf girl was horrified by my words; the idea of scaring her seemed to have been a complete success. The truth was that I wasn't lying; that flower really did eat people, and if I hadn't fought seriously that time, I would have been its food. But unfortunately for that flower, things didn't turn out that way.
"So she was lying to me?"
There was no need to answer that question, as Idril herself took care of answering it:
"Yes, that thing was lying to you. It wanted to take advantage of you and, quite possibly, eat you."
Idril gave the final touch. We could all see how the girl's legs began to shake, and it was more than clear that fear was taking over her. It seemed that she had already begun to reflect on how naive she had been. After all, a part of her had believed the flower. Seeing that the girl was reflecting on what had happened, I quickly proceeded to change the subject; I did not want them to continue inquiring about that flower; after all, I planned to kill her in secret, and, to be honest, it was going to be extremely painful for that flower; after all, she had tried to be clever, and that would not be forgiven. I said in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear:
"Miss Lia should be able to use mana by now."
The first person to respond to my words was Angrod. Some traces of worry could still be seen on his face as he asked his question:
"Are you absolutely sure everything went well?"
I answered his question with all the seriousness I could muster at the moment:
"Yes, her channels are open and functional; it's just a matter of waiting for her body to start collecting mana from the atmosphere. If my calculations are correct, she should be able to cast her first spell within 24 hours."
I answered confidently; the procedure had been a success, and the reason I said she would be able to cast her first spell within 24 hours was because her body was that of a mage, though she also had the talent to become a warrior; but after all, her greatest strength would be that she could cast spells. Once Angrod processed my words, he proceeded to look at his granddaughter; it was true, he could now feel faint traces of mana. Angrod asked:
"Won't that procedure you just performed leave any side effects on my granddaughter?"
"No."
He still seemed to have his doubts regarding the procedure, and that was normal; after all, it was a rather risky process. Another thing to take into account was the time it took the white-haired boy to perform it; it had only taken him two hours to perform it; it was extremely fast, and the surprising thing was that he performed it alone. He knew better than anyone that this process usually required multiple magicians to perform; after all, it required absurd control to prevent the energy from getting out of control and the person from exploding. Another thing to take into account was the number of processes you had to perform; taking your mana out of your body and controlling it when it was inside another person was extremely difficult. Angrod knew this way that without a doubt, this white-haired, blue-eyed boy was not just anyone. Without a doubt, he was a terrible being, capable of performing miracles. Without a doubt, what he had done with his granddaughter was a miracle.
Idril seemed to be thinking the same thing during the process the boy performed; she was unable to detect the slightest hint of energy; she felt helpless at not being able to detect such a process. It was more than clear that this boy's powers operated in unknown ways. Without a doubt, this boy was extremely powerful, and since he had managed to open his niece's channels, it undoubtedly proved that he possessed extremely powerful control over his energy; that control was greater than her own. Once again, she knew that she had been outmatched by him.
Maedhros had complicated feelings; in fact, he didn't know what to do with this monster anymore. It was growing in power and proving to be an even bigger threat; he had serious doubts that the royal guard could stand up to it. He didn't want this monster anywhere near his daughter, as he believed that he would be a bad influence on her; he feared that her innocence would disappear by associating with this thing; after all, it was more than clear that this thing was a cold-blooded killer; after all, he had cut it in half and it seemed to have no remorse for it. Every time he looked at the boy, he seemed to have a hidden smirk that seemed to tell him that he could kill him anytime he wanted.
Eryn, on the other hand, thought otherwise; she believed that the white-haired boy was some sort of guardian or protector of her daughter. She was a true believer in fate; she didn't believe much in coincidences. It was strange that this individual had appeared and rescued, not just once, but twice, her daughter. It was becoming clearer that the being's goal was not to hurt her daughter, and she believed in that more and more; even now he had awakened the mana in her daughter. It was more than clear that his intentions were good. Without a doubt, he also wished that Lia could protect herself, although she had to admit that she was a little scared of how vast his power was; she still remembered that this same being had almost taken her husband, the king of the elven kingdom, the person who was supposed to be the most influential and powerful.
Naida, for her part, was shocked; she was still unable to see through the being's power; it didn't seem to be using a single bit of mana, but she knew that it had to be using mana in some way that she didn't know about. She had been trying to analyze this individual over and over and over again; her intention was to have a way to counter and contain him, but up until today she hadn't found a good way; after all, it was unknown to what extent he could use his magic ability. One thing she was sure of: he wasn't a magician; after all, she had never seen him cast a spell; all she knew was that he had defused a spell using some kind of strange power. But unfortunately, that wasn't enough to say that she had a complete analysis on him. Without a doubt, the only way to make a complete report on him was to fight him directly.
After I answered Angrod's question, I walked up to the elf girl and placed my hand on her head; I congratulated her for successfully passing the test and said:
"I will give you the gift I promised you once you absorb the mana from the atmosphere; I am completely sure that you will like the gift I will give you; after all, that gift is very versatile."
The girl said with her cheeks puffed out:
"I thought you would give me the gift right now"
"I never said I would give it to you right now, but don't worry; I will definitely give it to you; I am absolutely sure that you will like it very much; it is a gift that has never been given to you; I am sure of that."
The elf girl didn't seem too happy about the fact that I was going to give her her prize later, but that didn't matter; I was going to give it to her anyway. I wasn't going to give it to her yet since there were still some adjustments to be made, and besides, I was going to be busy beating up the flower with a human face; and more than beating her up, I was going to kill her and mince her; I was already fed up with her; she was the first beast that dared to bother me so much, and look, I couldn't even get a power out of her. I was determined to make her suffer as much as possible. After a while, I remembered something and told everyone:
"I almost forgot; it seems that Miss Leia has a 'magic eye'. Although I don't know what kind of power it has, but she definitely has one. Although it is strange since she shouldn't have the mana to activate it at the moment, but one thing I am sure of, and that is that it is definitely active."
My statement surprised everyone present, including the elf girl; she seemed to be even more surprised. Everyone turned to look at her, and she seemed to be a little embarrassed by all the stares she was receiving, but at the same time she puffed out her chest as if to show that she was impressive, although she herself did not know what kind of power she had. The first person to break the silence was Angrod:
"Now that you mention it, his eyes seem to be shining brighter than usual, but I'm unable to sense any mana in them."
He said confused by the phenomenon; it was strange that the magic eyes did not emit a sign of mana, although it could be hidden if the user was someone experienced, but in this case we were talking about his granddaughter, who had just woken up. The boy with white hair and blue eyes spoke; he also seemed surprised by that fact:
"She certainly has beautiful eyes, but even I am unable to see what kind of power they possess or what they can see. Well, let's hope it's an extraordinary power; the stronger, the better."
Confusion reigned in the place; no one seemed to know what kind of power those eyes had, and even less did they seem to know what kind of power was feeding those eyes. Everyone began to flatter Leah, although no one knew what kind of power the eyes she possessed had; but, just the same, they already began to flatter her as if she were impressive. The reality was that they didn't want to worry her, and that was why they were flattering her; and the other reason they were flattering her was because she looked funny with her ears fluttering uncontrollably and red as a tomato.
The data that was extracted in the previous procedure was planned to be introduced into the gift that I would be giving to the elf girl in the next few hours. That gift, more than a gift, was a weapon, a prototype, a most strange creation. D was in charge of creating that thing; it was a mixture of many different things, but without a doubt it had a perfect balance; more than blood was required for that thing to obey the elf girl. To be honest, that thing was extremely dangerous, but not for me; it would be dangerous for those who sought to approach that girl with malicious intentions; I could already imagine how those individuals would end up.
The process of opening the elf girl's channels had been a complete success, as it had fulfilled its purpose. I decided that it was time to leave the room; I said to everyone present:
"I'll be returning to my room shortly; I have some things to do."
I said as I looked at Angrod's face; I usually turned to him when it came to serious matters; after all, I didn't get along with Maedhros; usually, I should be announcing that directly to the king of the kingdom, but since we didn't get along, I didn't have to be cordial. To be honest, I still felt like breaking him in half; even though I had broken him in half once, he still kept looking at me with his superior gaze; it irritated me. Angrod asked:
"Now that you've woken up my granddaughter, what do you plan to teach her?"
He asked a valid question; they still didn't know what he was teaching the elf girl. I contemplated the question he had asked me, and after a while I decided to answer it, although I wasn't entirely honest; I put on a serious face to tell him:
"I'm going to try to teach her how to use my magic; I'm completely sure that she's capable of learning how to use it in no time; after all, she's very talented."
"By magic, do you mean those wind cuts?"
"Yes, I'll be teaching him that too; that's one of the most basic magic I possess."
As I said that, I started walking towards the exit of the place; I had already finished with most of the pending items in this place, so there was nothing holding me back here anymore. Noticing me heading towards the door, the others did the same; they didn't seem to have any reason to stay either. Eryn had taken the elf girl back into her arms and was killing her with kisses again; without a doubt, she thought her daughter was some kind of teddy bear; I could see how she squeezed the poor girl. There was no lie in my words; I would be teaching her the wind cutting magic. Something to keep in mind was that I was referring to the 'wind cutting' skill as magic; after all, the elves seemed to believe it was a spell, since spells were considered magic; although they seemed to have their doubts; after all, they had never seen me perform a spell as such; they were only able to see the end result, which was the wind cutting. Spells were circuits that appeared in the air, and from them, usually, real magic came out; it was like a kind of portal that summoned something; I was unable to do those things, but if we were talking about D, the story changed completely; there was a certain disadvantage to using a spell; in my case, there were many disadvantages; I ran the risk of frying my brain, since it was very complex and required multiple processes; it was quite tedious, but D was a completely different story; he could do it, but he had to use the black cube as a catalyst, and therein lay a problem, and that was that that cube was in my stomach; I had to get it out of my stomach first if I didn't want my body to explode; that cube was able to resist different types of magic and skills; if, by chance, I didn't have that cube in my arsenal and I tried to activate a spell with just my body, I would undoubtedly suffer the consequences; This body was not fit for such a thing, or rather the brain was not fit, as that was the problem; but there were ways to avoid such consequences, but that would be used as a last resort; after all, I did not want to manipulate the body I was in too much, as I would possibly stop being human.
Finally, I reached the door and placed my hand on the handle; I could feel the people behind me; they walked slowly, not outstripping my pace; they might not have shown it on their faces, but some were happy, and others had slight signs of concern about certain matters that had not yet been dealt with. Once I crossed the threshold of the door and set foot outside it, I immediately felt it; I realized that something was wrong, and without wasting any time I expanded the 'domain' feature without a bit of hesitation, and immediately found out what that strange feeling was due to; in the time I had been inside the magic room, my senses were blocked, and I didn't know what was going on outside. It seemed that the two intruders had already activated one of the teleportation scrolls; in short, they had already invaded. What caught my attention was that I only detected one individual; I found it strange that they only called out to one; I could see the guy's face, and I knew that it wasn't the beast tamer; If I had been the beast tamer, things would have gotten ugly. Once the others left the room, I told them bluntly; a huge smile could be seen on my face:
"Angrod, Maedhros, Idril, Eryn, Naida, Keijo, this mansion is no longer safe; it has been compromised."
Hearing my words, everyone understood what I was referring to; without further ado, I explained to them:
"The two intruders have multiple teleportation scrolls scattered throughout the mansion, and they just used one of them to call someone; I doubt it's just anyone; I had already anticipated this happening without a doubt, so leave this mansion immediately while you can, as they will possibly cast some spell capable of blocking teleportation at any moment and you will be trapped inside it, and I'm sure no one wants that to happen."
The first to react was Angrod, who asked almost immediately:
"Will you take care of them alone?"
Angrod asked a stupid question that made the smile on my face immediately disappear; how could he ask such a thing? The brazen guy. The girl was listening to our conversation, but it seemed like she didn't quite understand what was going on; she was just quiet, watching and listening to everything, and she wouldn't understand anything either if nothing was explained to her. I quickly answered Angrod:
"Of course I'm not going to handle everything by myself; I already have a plan to deal with this situation, and for that I require the help of the royal guard; I didn't expect these guys to act so quickly; I guess I stimulated them too much; it seems they really believed I was injured and were forced to speed up their plans; I estimated that they would attack in about a week or two, but I guess they're in quite a hurry; but never mind, I'm more than ready."
Maedhros quickly intervened in the discussion; it was more than clear that he was upset with what was happening; he still didn't know if those enemies the white-haired boy was talking about were real, but since he had kept telling him the truth so far, it was hard not to believe him; without thinking twice, he said:
"If someone really dared to invade this mansion, then we are within our rights to send people capable of standing up to these guys; so, therefore, Naida and Keijo, you will stay with him and help him in whatever he needs; and as for Idril, I cannot send you this time; you will stay with us to protect us; we will not make the same mistake twice; it is more than clear that things have been a little out of control for some time now."
A laugh spread from the white-haired, blue-eyed boy; he seemed to be having fun with the current situation; the reality was that the boy was very excited; after all, he had an absurd amount of plans; although he had been surprised that the intruders were quite hasty, that did not matter at all; after all, nothing would change now that he had expanded the 'domain' feature; without a doubt, the other teleportation scrolls would not activate at all, since every time they tried to activate, he would take care of interrupting said activation; in short, the three intruders would be alone in their foray into this mansion. The white-haired boy spoke:
"I don't know how powerful the person who entered the mansion is, so just in case I have to warn you that this mansion may possibly be reduced to ashes; so I warn you in advance that if things get ugly, I may start fighting in earnest, and collateral damage may occur; so I recommend that you start evacuating the people who are still in this place as quietly as you can."
My words sent shivers down the spines of those present; after all, I was announcing to them that those walls would soon be reduced to ashes if things turned ugly; the worry on the girl's face was palpable; she was undoubtedly scared by every word that came out of my mouth. But that didn't worry me, since, after all, her mother would calm her down somehow later.
"Well, you two meet me when you finish evacuating the people from this mansion; I'll go ahead and give the intruders a warm welcome."
I told everyone, and in an instant I activated the skill 'wind boost' and shot out at breakneck speed; everyone saw the tremendous speed I had; they couldn't follow it with their eyes; without a doubt, things were going to get out of control from here on out; anything could happen, but none of that mattered anymore; after all, these fools had done me a huge favor; after all, if their plans were sped up, that meant that it would be beneficial to me as well; since if I killed them all, it would mean that I could leave this realm faster; if the elf girl ran out of enemies, I wouldn't have to worry about it later; although there was something that caught my attention a lot, and that was the time in which they decided to act; it was very strange that they decided to act right after the elf girl awakened her mana; it was as if they had realized that she had already awakened her mana; when I met them, I would get that information out of them; it was very strange; It was too much of a coincidence that they chose this exact moment to attack; I was currently very excited, as I wanted to test out my new powers.
