Chapter 59 - Awakening the Elf Girl VI

Noticing the worried looks on the faces of those four, I immediately told them to calm down in a low voice:

"Don't worry."

It was obvious that all of them seemed to be worried about the existence of that flower. The truth was that she was very dangerous, but only if she was in the forest with other beasts nearby. In this area, where there was no being that she could control, it made her extremely harmless.

"What are you going to do with it?"

Angrod asked. A slight concern could be heard in his voice. Keeping that in mind, I answered him in a tone low enough that his granddaughter couldn't hear anything. Her mother was still killing her with hugs and kisses. The only people who were listening to me were Angrod, Maedhros, Naida, and Idril.

"I'm going to have to kill her. After all, she doesn't seem to want to obey me."

I said in a barely audible whisper. The four people in question noticed the coldness in the whisper. I didn't mean to make them nervous, but it seemed I scared them unintentionally. The flower with a human face was staring ugly in my direction, more specifically at my eyes. It was more than clear that she was furious.

'I don't understand that wretch. Even though she knows I'm stronger than her, she still won't bend to me.'

- THE ANALYSIS DOES NOT SEEMS TO WORK.

D hadn't been able to replicate any of the powers the flower had, and we had already confirmed that it did have powers. After all, it did use them on the elf girl. Killing the flower would definitely be a waste, but there was no other way. It was better to be safe than sorry. I had a feeling that if I didn't kill it now, it would give me a surprise later.

'I guess I better hurry up and kill her once and for all.'

I raised my right hand and began to slowly clench my fist. As I did so, the cube enclosing the flower was slowly closing as well. My intention was simple: I was going to crush her. Angrod, Maedhros, Naida, and Idril immediately noticed my intention. They seemed to agree with the idea of killing her, but to everyone's surprise, the elf girl intervened.

"Hey D, what are you doing to that flower?"

She had escaped from her mother's grasp and approached us. She seemed to have realized that the bucket was slowly closing and would soon crush the flower. I turned to look at the little girl and responded with a small smile on my face.

"Miss Lia, don't worry about the flower. It is not part of the gift I will give you."

I told her so she wouldn't misunderstand anything. After all, she seemed to think that flower was part of what I was going to give her. But what the girl said surprised me a lot.

"The flower is telling me that you want to kill it. It also told me that it hasn't done anything bad to you."

"???????"

Hearing the girl's words, everyone was shocked. Even I was stunned by her statement. Angrod, Maedhros, Naida, Idril, and Eryn all had shocked expressions on their faces, as did I. I immediately realized what was going on. I turned to look at the flower with a human face. The wretched thing was laughing and looking at me with an amused expression on its face.

'Reverend son of a b***h.'

I immediately asked the elf girl:

"Is the flower talking to you?"

And the answer I got was just what I was thinking:

"Yes, he's talking to me. I can hear his voice in my head."

The flower with a human face seemed to be able to engage in communication even when it was locked away. Once again, it proved that it was a possessor of multiple powers. To be honest, I didn't know why the flower was doing that. After listening to the elf girl, I closed my eyes for a while and contemplated the situation. After a while, an idea occurred to me and I asked Angrod a question:

"Do you have a blank magic contract?"

The question I asked him left him baffled. He seemed not to have expected such a sudden question. After coming out of his daze and analyzing what I had told him, he finally gave me an answer:

"Yes, I have plenty of those, but what do you need it for?"

I answered the question while looking into the elf girl's eyes:

"I just had an idea. Wouldn't you like to have that flower as a pet?"

My statement caused immediate panic in everyone. The first to attack me was Idril:

"Are you crazy? Don't even think I'd let that thing near Lia without proper security."

After her, the next to speak was Eryn:

"I'm sorry, but I can't agree with that idea. I consider that thing cannot be domesticated."

Maedhros didn't say anything, but his face said it all. His face seemed to say, "Are you crazy or what the hell stung you?"

Naida didn't say anything, but she didn't seem to agree either. It seemed like just imagining herself being near that creature made her hair stand on end.

Angrod made a sour face in disagreement and explained in a tone that seemed to be trying to remain calm:

"That's not possible. The only beasts that can be used as pets by the royal family are those that can be easily tamed and controlled and that pose no danger to the family members. As for that human-faced flower, it's simply impossible for it to be accepted. After all, it's outside the permitted classification. Furthermore, taking something so dangerous out of this place would be frowned upon by the other noble houses. Another point to consider would be that that human-faced flower would be easily recognized by other people, and if by chance they happen to know the stories and rumors behind that thing, they would without a doubt want to seize it. Basically, it would be troublesome just to have it in the royal family's possession."

Hearing their explanation, I knew that they would not easily agree to have that pet flower. I understood why they did not want it. I stood still for a while and closed my eyes as I thought of an excellent idea that would be able to convince them. While I was thinking of a solution to the problem, I could hear the voice of the elf girl again:

"She's saying that there's no need to sign a mana contract. She's saying that just using the bond is enough. She says that she'll agree to be my pet as long as we protect her from D and don't let him harm her."

Hearing those words, I immediately turned to look at the flower with a human face. It was more than clear that the poor thing already had her plan well established in her head. Without wasting time, I asked Angrod about that link:

"What does the flower with a human face refer to with a link?"

He thought about it for a bit and then replied. He seemed to know about the subject:

"The bond is a magic that is normally practiced by beast tamers, but it has been determined that such magic is of no use on powerful beasts. As I understand it, the strongest prevails in the bond. Simply put, the one who will be in control of the situation will be the strongest. There have been cases where beast tamers have attempted to tame a creature more powerful than themselves and it has ended in a situation where the beasts end up controlling the beast tamer."

"So basically the little flower is trying to be clever in this situation."

"It is very likely that he will try to control my granddaughter for his own benefit."

Again, I turned my head to look at the flower, but this time I was looking at it without a hint of emotion in my eyes. No one but the flower could see my face since they were standing behind me. Upon seeing my face, it immediately became scared.
