A notification alert.
Daniel averted his eyes from his laptop and picked up his phone.
A smile appeared on his face when he saw the contents of the text, and he quickly turned off his PC.
He put on a grey hoodie, wore cargo pants on top of his boxers, and put on his Nike slippers.
"I'm coming back later" He said to Solomon.
"No P. Just make sure you take your key with you."
Solomon looked up from his phone and answered, throwing another chip in his mouth.
Daniel nodded, and so, with his phone and his wallet, he stepped outside.
The evening was a bit chilly, but the chill became even more pronounced when he stepped outside the hostel.
The perfect weather for two.
He opened google maps on his phone, and ten minutes later, he was at his destination.
Awosika - Girls' hostel.
It was opposite the Adeboye boys' hostel, with both costing 63 thousand naira per season for each student, but their facilities were not much compared to Bisi Balogun. For one, there were four people living in a room of similar size.
But Daniel wasn't here to ruminate on the different facilities of the two hostels. Definitely not.
It was nearing 8 'O'clock, and people in the opposite hostels were especially active around this time with at least 40 to 50 people in the clearing in front of the two hostels.
After he reached there, he leaned on one of the abandoned cars there, sending a text and waiting for someone.That wait took three minutes.
"What took you so long?" Daniel exclaimed when he saw Alice a few approaching a short distance away.
"Sorry, I wasn't wearing much when you arrived, so I had to dress up." Alice replied as she approached, shrugging.
That sentence definitely introduced a few
... Less than decent scenes into Daniel's head, but he threw them off and focused on the person in front of him.
This evening, Alice was dressed quite casually.
She wore a very short denim skirt with pockets, as well as a white long-sleeved crop top. Daniel took the initiative to spread his arms, and Alice, hugged him.
'So soft…'The beautiful sensation flooded his senses.
The hourglass shape was not for show.
He held the hug for a few seconds, and only released when it was about to become awkward.
"So. Have anything in mind?"
He asked her, only to get a confused look.
"What?"
"I'm taking you out."
She blanked out.…
Of course, 'out' didn't mean to Akure or anywhere far from the school. Rather he took her to West Gate, the closest entrance to Awosika, though smaller in size compared to the other two.
It led to a small town-like settlement, full of off-campus student lodges, provision and foodstuff stores, canteens, etc.
Basically a sort of minimarket, but much more widely spaced. And it was very lively, especially at night, due to its close proximity to Awosika and Adeboye hostels.
Daniel first bought some suya for the both of them, spending about two thousand naira, then bought a drink for Alice.
The duo toured the place (It was Daniel's first time entering and Alice's third), and even bought foodstuffs in small quantity.
A few minutes later, they were back at the Awosika hostel's gate.They stood facing each other for a few seconds, before Alice broke the silence.
"Thank you for tonight. It was so fun." She said with a smile
"And thanks for the suya, drink and stuff."
"It was no problem at all." Daniel assured.
The silence returned again, but this time, they were looking in each other's eyes.
She thanked him again, breaking the ice, and turned to leave. As Daniel was about to call out to her, she stopped, and went back to him.
She stood right in front of him, and...
