'The stress is unbearable!'
Just three days later, Daniel lay sprawled across the desk, barely able to stay awake while the CHE 101(Chemistry) lecture was going on.
"Why are you so tired?" Alice who was sitting next to him asked.
"Work." He was barely able to murmur an answer.
Over the past three days, he had been using Fortuna's Dominion to mostly clear his schedule of school work, the result being that only four classes between Monday and Wednesday, most of which were morning classes.
So, from that time to almost midnight, he would be on his laptop coding.
But even though he was tired, the amount on his dashboard still brought a smile to his face.
The ten clients he had done work for had netted him $1000, in three days!
In Nigeria, this was a broken rate of earning money.
The consequences matched the benefits though. He was absolutely exhausted, and Alice was already complaining that he was too shut-in lately.
There was barely even enough time to even read. But like he said before, he learned fast, so whenever he had the chance to study just for a few hours, he could cover close to a week of teaching.
'But I would easily burnout.'
He needed a solution to this. A long term one.
'Once I've earned another 1k dollars, I'll just take a break from freelancing for a week and focus on school work.'
He looked at the lecturer who was rambling without caring whether the students understood what he was saying.

'If probability is essentially reality manipulation, and everything can have every probability in different magnitudes, then…'
Daniel stared intensely at the bottle of Coca-Cola he just bought.

He shook his head with a wry smile, emptying the contents of bottle. He dropped his bag on the chair beside him as he waited for the next lecture to begin.
But as he waited, an intrusive thought suddenly drilled into his mind.
'I wonder what the probability of me dying anytime soon is.'
Once this thought entered his head, he could not get rid of it. And so, he decided to check.

'So one in ten times I die within a week?!'
A few moments of slight panic passed, followed by a Dee breath to calm himself down.
'If I can crank up probabilities, I should be able to nullify them too.'
And so he tried it.
Of course, not instantly on the probability of death within a week. If he ended up cranking it up...
Let's just say this story will have a very quick ending.
He had a hunch that the energy consumption would be inversed, so he tried nullifying the probability of something that wasn't high in the first place.
His eyes scanned the few people in the lecture hall. His eyes caught someone spinning his pen. The pen was becoming a bit unsteady.

'Success.' A mental fist pump. This success cost 60 Units though.
Then he turned his attention to his own Probability Event.

Energy was reduced by 10 units, but also, this was the lowest probability that he could set, which he guessed was due to quantum mechanics.
(A/N: In quantum mechanics, every thing has a non-zero chance of happening)
However, the possibilities that came with this new discovery was endless.
'Immortality.'
Not just the immortality of not aging, but he would be virtually unable to be killed by external factors.
In essence, he would exist outside the very scope of existence.
Daniel heart almost leapt out from his chest when he tried to comprehend the sheer brokenness of this, and had to take a few deep breaths to calm down.
He also considered a few things.
Probability changes. It was most times not a fixed value for long.
He would have to keep tweaking it at regular time intervals.
And due to the fact that there was still an infinitesimally small chance of stuff happening, Murphy's law could rear its ugly head during a virtually infinite lifetime.
'Anything that can happen, will happen.'
He pondered this with an unreadable expression, but then broke out into a carefree smile afterwards.
'Oh well, not like I can do much with 151 Energy Units anyways.'

The cost is inversed for reducing probability. But probability cannot be reduced to an absolute.
Lower probabilities haven't been explored due to insufficient Energy.
Energy Units can be replenished at the rate of 1 per second, and 1 Energy Unit is added after each use.
Failsafe Threshold: Some Universal Constants including but not limited to the laws of physics may resist permanent change.
- ACTIVATION METHOD: The wielder must focus on a desired outcome, at which point the mental projection of the words [$π•¥] will automatically flicker and the ability will be activated.
