Chapter 7:A Manly True Hero
(Timeskip-2 years-)
The morning sun cast a golden glow over the quiet streets as Haru and Mina walked side by side, their backpacks bouncing lightly with each step. Mina was full of energy, her pace quick and her voice animated as she talked.
"Did you watch the first episode of Heroes Rising Chronicles last night?" she asked, glancing up at Haru, who had his hands tucked into his pockets.
Haru nodded, his eyes fixed ahead. "Yeah. It was… interesting."
'Interesting… more like boring as hell'.
I thought as I kept listening to Mina blabbering on about it.
Anime in this world was truly dogshit compared to mine,It was mostly episodic with most of the time having a villain of the week that the hero has to overcome.
That hero more often than not being a real life pro hero because if not,good luck selling it to anyone.
Anyway enough of that,
as me and Mina continued walking to our school we arrived at the front entrance.
Mustafa Private Middle School.
While walking towards or class we heard a commotion.
We turn to look and saw a group of boys bullying a short boy with a raccoon like face when an another boy with black hair approached them.
He yelled something at the bullies and began to charge at them.
One of the bullies seeing this threw a big stone at him which knocked him of his feet and put him down.
As the bullies pulled the tanuki-like raccoon boy with them, Mina started running towards them.
"Sigh~ what a drag," I say as i began chasing after her.
" Hey stop!!! Let him go, He doesn't want to follow you' guys." Mina said after getting in front of them and blocking the way.
"Piss off!!! Ashido,it's none of your business" said one of the bullies.
"Now get out of the way". The other raised his hands in which a rock was slowly forming.
While the boy was trying to intimidate Mina he suddenly felt a vice-like grip grab onto his shoulder.
"Aghhh it hurts!!!"
" If you touch a hair of her, I'd kill you,you know that right?." He heard the person standing behind him say.
He turned around to see a tall orange haired boy with sharp eyes that was glaring at him.
"Eeeeehh!" The bully screamed.
"Da… Dai-San we didn't mean to!!" Said the other boy in fear.
" I don't care, now scram before I change my mind and burn you two to a crisp!!."
I said while transforming my palm on fire.
"Hiiiiiiii!" They both took of running.
As I turned to Mina who was helping the short boy and say.
"Come on let's get moving or will be late for class."
While walking back we heard him shout.
"Thank you Senpai's".
As we're walking I turn to Mina who was pulling my sleeve.
"What?" I ask her.
"Nothing just… you were so cool Harue" she answered with a smile and a faint blush on her cheeks.
" Thanks you were cool as well" I said back to her.
She nodded meekly and began following me to class.
As Harue and Mina went to class a certain manly boy was starting at them.

(Eijiro Kirishima's POV)
As I look at their backs, my friend puts his elbow on my shoulder and says.
"Kids like that are gonna be ones for sure."
"Huh?" I turn my head and question my buddy.
" That Ashido girl is apparently going to take the entrance exam for U.A" he replied while looking at her back.
"She's ridiculously athletic!! Also,She's very sociable. Her quirk is extremely strong too and her appearance easily catches the eye."
" The way hero's are now has changed from how they were in the past. It's all about entertainment and approval ratings and whatnot."
He pauses for a bit and continues.
" Ashido's like the hero's of today that's why she's a perfect fit for the job."
My friend says when he then switches his gaze from her to the tall boy next to her.
" And last but not least Harue Dai." I turn my gaze back to them look at the boy who I most envied.
" If Ashido has a high chance to get accepted then Dai is destined to be."
" A top tier quirk paired with incredible smarts that has allowed him to never get anything less than 100% on any test, combined with his good looks,he's like a Main Character compared to us." My friend joked self-deprecatingly.
" I heard that he even got on the news from saveing people from a fire."
If I compered myself with that I'd feel worthless. My Quirk is just "Hardening" plus honestly I'm just kinda dull and boring.
"Oh yeah, what are you guys gonna put down on your future career track thingy?
Are we gonna try to apply to U.A too?" My other friend asks.
"Don't be stupid for normies like us becoming a hero's not even in the picture"my friend says and turns to me and asks.
" Hey Ei ,what about you?, you wanna apply to "Doroido" technical together?."
"Uhhhh….. Hehehe,I dunno man,Guess I still haven't decided….."I answered while scratching my cheek awkwardly and trying to hide the job aspiration report paper in which I had writen U.A.

After class ended I bid goodbye to my friends and started walking home.
As I was walki I think to my self.
To be honest I'm lame....
But when I see someone like Dai-San something inside me thinks.
If I was flashier or had a stronger quirk….
Would I be more confident? Would I be able to just say " I'm aiming for U.A. Heroic's department.
Just as I was a heading to the next street I turned and saw a giant monster the size of a building questioning a two scared girls.
'The Hell….. Is THAT!?' I screamed internally.
" Where are the Hero offices of Springer?" The monster asked the scared girls.
"EEK.....!!" The girls were to afraid to answer.
"So, You won't tell me?" He asked then put his left hand up and touched the wall.
*Creek*
Immediately the wall began to crack and break.
'Oh shit!'
Why is it only times like these when a hero isn't on patrol?!!.
Some-body…!
No, not Some-Body.
You do it!
Go! Jump In
And…!
"Why won't you tell me…?" Asked the giant angrily and began putting more pressure on the wall which looked like it was about to break.
Jump In and….!
I stood frozen.
"Hey"
Suddenly a calm voice rang out,
The owner a tall orange haired young man next to him a pink skinned girl.
The giant turned to look at him.
"You're looking for the Springer offices right?" He asked.
" Yes " replied the giant.
"Turn right to that corner and walk straight and then take a left to the main road." The young man answered.
"Thank you" and with that the giant left for the directions given.
" Oh My God, Dai-senpai,
Thank you, Thank you , Thank you!" Thanked the girls while sobbing,
"No problem, besides I couldn't leave my fellow students to themselves,"Harue gave them a bright smile which caused them to blush in the midst of their crying.
As Mina was confronting the girls, I stood there in shock looking at them.
' Why? Why didn't you go…?'
I stared down at my feet.
