Chapter 4: A Decorating Disaster
Ji-Hyun stood on a ladder, carefully draping ribbons across the ceiling of Min-Soo's office. She was determined to create a stunning atmosphere for the New Year's party.
As she worked, Min-Soo entered the room, his eyes scanning the space with a critical gaze. Ji-Hyun felt a flutter in her chest as their eyes met, but she quickly looked away, focusing on her task.
"Be careful with that vase," Min-Soo warned, his voice low and smooth. "It's expensive."
Ji-Hyun rolled her eyes, annoyed by his condescending tone. "I'm not going to break it," she muttered under her breath.
Just then, her foot slipped on the ladder, and she felt herself falling. Time seemed to slow as she flailed wildly, trying to regain her balance.
But it was too late. Ji-Hyun tumbled through the air, her heart racing with fear. Suddenly, strong arms wrapped around her, catching her mid-fall.
Ji-Hyun's eyes snapped open to find herself staring up at Min-Soo's chiseled features. For a moment, they just looked at each other, the tension between them palpable.
Then, Min-Soo's expression darkened, and he shouted, "What were you thinking? You could have hurt yourself!"
Ji-Hyun's face burned with embarrassment and anger. "Let me go!" she demanded, struggling against his grip.
Min-Soo's arms tightened around her, holding her in place. "Not until you calm down," he growled.
As they stood there, locked in a fierce stare-down, Ji-Hyun felt her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't believe how her day had gone from bad to worse.
