Chapter 1 - The innocent queen

Hey guys, this is my new story. Hope you like it!

So, without any further delay, let's dive into today's episode.

At this moment, in a beautiful house—not too big, not too small—preparations were going on in full swing. A woman was repeatedly calling out someone's name while climbing the stairs.

"Ibadat! Where are you?" she yelled.

Just then, a man's voice came from behind.

"What happened, Kaveri? Why are you shouting?"

Hearing him, the woman turned around. Looking at her husband, Anuj, standing behind her, she said, "Where is your princess? Has she forgotten it's her wedding today?"

Listening to his wife, Anuj Mathur started laughing. "Seriously? She cried for a whole month about this wedding, and you think she'd forget? Our princess must be somewhere around here, probably busy with something important. Don't worry."

Kaveri put her hands on her hips and replied, "Your daughter and important work! You know exactly what kind of 'work' she does." Shaking her head, she started climbing upstairs.

Anuj ran a hand over his forehead and muttered, "Please, princess, don't mess things up this time, or your mom won't spare me!" Saying this, he headed off to oversee the remaining preparations.

Kaveri climbed upstairs while shouting. There were four rooms on the upper floor. She called out loudly, "Ibadat, my child, where are you?"

As soon as she said this, a girl came running toward her. The sudden sight of her made Kaveri stop in her tracks.

The girl came closer, grabbed Kaveri's shoulders, and said, panting heavily, "Don't worry, aunty! I'll find my jaan (darling). Please don't panic like this. You focus on the rest of the preparations. By the way, when is the makeup artist arriving?"

Seeing the girl so out of breath, Kaveri gently tried to calm her down. "Shreya, calm down, dear! Why are you panting so much?"

Hearing this, Shreya took a deep breath to steady herself. Shreya was a 19-year-old girl, stunningly beautiful, with an angelic appearance. Her silky hair flowed down to her waist, and her fair complexion added to her charm.

Smiling, Shreya said, "Aunty, how can I stay calm? It's the wedding of my jaan, my Ibadat! My heart feels like murdering Saransh right now!"

Hearing this, Kaveri glared at her angrily. Shreya quickly covered her mouth with both hands, blinking her big eyes innocently, and said, "Sorry, sorry! It slipped out. But come on, he's stealing my jaan away, so these thoughts are bound to come! But don't worry, he's my jaan's jaan too, so I won't harm him."

Hearing Shreya's words, Kaveri playfully grabbed her ear and tugged it gently. "You've become so mischievous!"

Laughing, Shreya replied, "It's all because of Ibadat's influence!" and burst into laughter.

Kaveri affectionately placed her hand on Shreya's head and said, "Go quickly and find that troublemaker. Who knows what she's up to? We only have time until the evening. We need to get everything done as soon as possible."

Nodding in agreement, Shreya hurried to the corner room and knocked on the door.

Even after knocking several times, there was no response from the other side. Frustrated, Shreya somehow managed to open the door and stepped inside. She looked around the room, placed her hands on her hips, and said, "Ibadat, my jaan, where are you hiding? Come out already!"

Despite calling out repeatedly, there was no response. Shreya squinted her eyes suspiciously and pouted, saying, "I don't know where she's hiding!"

Saying this, she began walking toward the bathroom. Just then, she heard the faint rustling sound of a snack packet.

She stopped in her tracks, tilting her head as she glanced around the room. That's when her eyes fell on the area under the bed.

"Oh God! When will she ever grow up?" she muttered to herself.

Bending down to look under the bed, Shreya's gaze fell on a girl hiding there, who looked just like a Barbie doll. The girl was sitting under the bed, munching on wafers and snacks with both hands.

The moment Shreya saw her, she gritted her teeth and said, "Ibadat!"

As soon as she heard her name, the girl froze like a statue, her hands still buried in the packet of wafers. Slowly, she raised her head and looked up at Shreya with her beautiful blue eyes, staring at her innocently.

This was our heroine, Ibadat, a 19-year-old who was the only princess of her family. Today was her wedding day, and she was set to marry Saransh Goenka, the youngest son of Asia's wealthiest family.

Seeing Ibadat staring at her like that, Shreya glared at her and said, "You clever girl, come out quietly. Don't try to melt me with those innocent eyes of yours."

Hearing this, Ibadat bit her lower lip nervously and slowly crawled out from under the bed on her knees. As soon as she came out, Shreya grabbed her ear and said, "Now tell me, what exactly were you doing here? It's your wedding today! When will you stop behaving like a child? I can't even believe you're getting married today. That's why I told you to wait for five more years! But no, you just had to marry Saransh! What was wrong with me that you couldn't choose me instead of him?"

Bending down to look under the bed, Shreya's gaze fell on a girl hiding there, resembling a Barbie doll. The girl sat under the bed, munching on wafers and snacks with both hands. As soon as Shreya saw her, she gritted her teeth and said, "Ibadat!"

The moment she heard her name, the girl froze like a statue, her hands still buried in the packet of wafers. She slowly raised her head, her beautiful blue eyes locking onto Shreya's with an innocent stare.

Ibadat, the 19-year-old princess of her family, was our heroine. It was her wedding day, and she was about to marry Saransh Goenka, the youngest son of Asia's wealthiest family.

Shreya glared at Ibadat and said, "You clever girl, come out quietly. Don't try to melt me with those innocent eyes of yours." Hearing this, Ibadat bit her lower lip nervously and slowly crawled out from under the bed on her knees.

As soon as she came out, Shreya grabbed her ear and said, "Now tell me, what exactly were you doing here? It's your wedding today! When will you stop behaving like a child? I told you to wait for five more years! But no, you just had to marry Saransh!" what was wrong with me that you couldn't choose me instant of Saransh ?"

Shreya's words left Ibadat staring at her with wide eyes, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Why would I marry you? I'm straight, are you a lesbian?" As soon as Ibadat said this, Shreya's eyes widened in shock. She glared at Ibadat, her voice stern. "Crazy girl, shut up! What were you doing, anyway? You've gotten so fat, Saransh will never look at you again!" Shreya snatched the packet of wafers from Ibadat's hands.

Ibadat pouted, her face scrunched up in displeasure. "No matter how fat I get, Saransh will always love me more than you!" She batted her eyelashes, her bright blue eyes sparkling with amusement. "Right now, I'm wearing a cute cartoon-printed t-shirt and shorts, and I look adorable."

Shreya pinched Ibadat's cheeks, her voice laced with mock desperation. "Ibadat, my love, how will I live without you? That flirt Saransh is stealing you away from me!"

As soon as Ibadat heard Shreya call Saransh a "kamina", she pouted and looked at Shreya with a scowl. "Why are you calling our Saransh a flirt? If you say anything bad about him again, I won't talk to you!"

Shreya chuckled and replied, "Okay, my love, first clean your face, you look like a monkey!" Shreya teased, wiping Ibadat's face with a tissue and standing her in front of the dressing table. "Ibadat, why do you need to get married? Can't you do it later?"

Ibadat looked at her reflection in the mirror with wide eyes and said, "I want to get married because I want to be with our Saransh! Isn't my Saransh handsome? What would I do if someone took him away from me?"

As Ibadat spoke, a hint of sadness crept onto her face, which Shreya noticed and responded to with a gentle smile. "If your Saransh truly loves you, no one can ever come between you two, no matter how hard they try, as long as you both don't want them to."

Ibadat's expression changed as she placed her small hand over Shreya's mouth and said, "Don't say things like that, it doesn't feel good. Today's our wedding day, and instead of making us happy, you're making us sad, you naughty girl!" Ibadat crossed her arms over her chest, pouting, and turned her head away.

Shreya chuckled as she looked at Ibadat, gently turning her back around, and pinching her cheeks. "Sorry, my love, sorry. The makeup artist will arrive soon, and after that, I'll see you in your stunning bridal lehenga for the first time!"

Shreya's words sparkled in Ibadat's eyes like stars. Just then, the makeup artist and designer entered the room, opening the door. As soon as Shreya saw them, she smiled and said, "Finally, it's time for you to get ready!" She gestured toward the makeup artist and designer.

With only five hours left until the wedding, the makeup artist and designer had ample time to work their magic. After a while, Ibadat emerged from the bathroom, wearing her stunning lehenga. She twirled around, asking, "How do I look?"

Shreya, the makeup artist, and the designer were stunned by Ibadat's question, exchanging glances with each other and then back at Ibadat. When Ibadat noticed that no one was responding, she asked in a trembling voice, "Don't I look good?"

As she spoke, tears welled up in her eyes, and she was on the verge of crying when Shreya intervened. Shreya walked up to Ibadat, gently cupped her face in her hands, and kissed her forehead. "My love, you look breathtakingly beautiful, absolutely stunning!" she exclaimed.

Ibadat's face lit up with a cute expression as she asked, "Really?" She covered her face with her hands, and a sweet smile played on her lips.

"My Saransh will faint when he sees me, won't he?" Ibadat asked, to which Shreya laughed and replied, "If he faints, who will marry you?"

Ibadat looked at Shreya with her bright blue eyes, pouting, and said, "You silly girl, it's because I'm looking extra cute and beautiful!" She playfully tapped Shreya's head with her small hand.

"Didn't you watch TV serials? They say, 'I fainted because of your beauty.'" Ibadat giggled, "That's the kind of 'fainting' I was talking about; you don't understand?"

Shreya burst out laughing at Ibadat's words. The makeup artist smiled and said, "Ma'am, please come quickly, we need to do your makeup." Ibadat carefully adjusted her lehenga and sat down in front of the dressing table. Closing her eyes, she said, "Make me look like a cute doll. My Saransh calls me 'baby', and I don't want him to think of me as a little kid."

The makeup artist chuckled at Ibadat's request and began to work her magic. Shreya's eyes had a hint of moisture in them. Despite being almost the same age, Shreya treated Ibadat like a little child. She thought to herself, "I hope you'll take care of my Ibadat like a precious treasure, Saransh." Shreya smiled as she thought this.

On the other hand, at the luxurious Goyanka Mansion in Mumbai... a woman, adorned with jewelry from head to toe, was walking swiftly up the stairs from the living room. She said to herself, "I have no idea what this boy is up to. It's already time for the baraat to leave. He was so eager to get married before, saying 'I want to get married, I want to get married,' and now he's nowhere to be found?"

Her face reflected her anger as she spoke. She walked up the stairs and stopped in front of a room, knocking on the door and saying, "Saransh, where are you? Saransh, it's time for the baraat to leave. It'll take us an hour and a half to get there. Son, hurry up!"

After knocking two or three times with no response, she said to herself, "I have no idea what this boy is up to." The woman, who was the mistress of the mansion and the groom's mother, Sangeeta Goyanka, opened the door and entered. Upon entering, she saw that clothes were scattered all over the room. Her attention fell on the groom's sherwani lying on the bed.

"Hasn't this boy even gotten dressed yet?" she exclaimed angrily. "What does he want?" Fuming, she stormed over to the sherwani and shouted, "Saransh!"

As she was about to turn around, her attention suddenly shifted to a letter lying next to the sherwani. She exclaimed in surprise, "This letter?" Picking it up, she saw that it was addressed to "Saransh". After a moment's thought, she opened the letter. Just then, she heard a man's powerful voice behind her, "Sangeeta, is Saransh ready? Has the baraat's departure preparation begun? Hurry up!"

Upon hearing her husband's words, Sangeeta quickly put the letter down and stepped outside, looking at him and saying, "I have no idea where this boy has gone! Look, the sherwani is still lying there; I just can't understand these people! By the way, is Shlok coming? Did you call him?"

Sangeeta's words were met with a deep sigh from her husband, Arjun Goyanka, who said, "I don't know, maybe he'll come after speaking with his father. Can't say for sure. Anyway, let's not worry about him; he's always been unpredictable. You know him, Sangeeta. Please ask Saransh to hurry up; the guests are waiting for the baraat."

Arjun's words prompted Sangeeta to reply, "He's not in his room right now, and he hasn't even worn his sherwani. I have no idea where he's gone."

Sangeeta's update left Arjun astonished. "What! He's still not ready? Are you serious? The wedding is in three hours!" Arjun exclaimed.

Sangeeta merely nodded in response. Arjun stepped inside the room, saying, "Could he be hiding somewhere in the room? Did you check properly?" As he spoke, he began calling out for Saransh.

After waiting for a long time without a response, Arjun's anger boiled over, and he exclaimed, "This boy has lost his mind! If our family's reputation suffers because of him, Father will not forgive him!" As he turned to leave, his attention fell on the letter. He asked Sangeeta, "Whose letter is this?"

Sangeeta thought for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure; it's addressed to Saransh. I was about to read it when I heard your voice."

Arjun picked up the letter and began to read. As he read a few lines, his eyes widened in shock, and the letter slipped from his hand. With a furious tone, he said, "Saransh…"
