Chapter 4 - shattered dreams into pieces.

Shlok still had the drink bottle in his hand. Lying on the sand while sipping the drink, his mind kept flashing with Isha's face.

He had never confessed his love to Isha before. Isha always followed him around. Initially, Shlok didn't like her at all, but her marriage, sweet words, and poetry all touched his heart.

Finally, Isha had made a place for herself in Shlok's heart. He wanted to propose to her on her birthday this year, but now everything had changed.

Without confessing, his love had remained incomplete. His eyes still reflected anger, hatred—everything.

He hadn't seen Ibadat's face yet and knew nothing about her. He closed his eyes and started to remember how his grandfather had forced him into this marriage.

Flashback.

After talking to Isha in the afternoon, as Shlok was heading towards his car, his phone rang again. He saw the flashing name and, with anger, picked up the call. In a very arrogant tone, he said, "Speak, Mr. Vishambhar Goenka, why are you calling?"

On the other side, Vishambhar Ji, with a voice full of anger, said, "Stop speaking disrespectfully, I am your grandfather. I called to tell you that your brother's wedding is today. Get to the address we sent as soon as possible."

Hearing Vishambhar Ji's words, Shlok mocked, laughing, "I don't care who marries whom and who doesn't. And I don't have time for weddings. I hope that answers your question."

Just as Shlok was about to end the call, Vishambhar Ji, in an even angrier tone, said, "Don't you dare hang up, Shlok, or no one will be bigger than me."

Hearing his grandfather's words, Shlok shouted, "What's your problem?"

In a softer voice, Vishambhar Ji replied, "Shlok, please come for our sake."

After hearing this, Shlok sighed deeply and said, "Okay, I'll come." And with that, he ended the call.

A while later, Shlok stood in front of his grandfather in a room at Mathur Mansion. His eyes were bloodshot, and his fists were clenched. Vishambhar Ji was looking in the other direction. In a deep voice, he said, "You have to get married; it's a matter of our family's honor."

As soon as he said this, a loud crashing sound was heard. Vishambhar Ji turned around to see Shlok had picked up the flower vase and thrown it on the ground, glaring at him in a terrifying way. For a moment, looking into Shlok's eyes, Vishambhar Ji was taken aback, but he quickly regained composure and said, "Control your anger, Shlok."

Shlok yelled, "Enough with the nonsense, Mr. Vishambhar Goenka! Do I look like a little kid to you, someone you can manipulate with promises of chocolates? Have you lost your mind? I am not getting married, especially not to someone else's love!"

Hearing this, Vishambhar Ji looked at him and said, "You have to get married; it's a matter of our family's honor. No one knows what's really going on with Saransh. Along with our family's reputation, there's also the question of an innocent child's dignity. If his marriage doesn't happen today, society will point fingers at him, and we definitely don't want a child's life ruined because of us."

As soon as Shlok heard this, a mocking smile spread across his face. Laughing, he said, "Oh my God, the great Vishambhar Goenka actually cares about someone else besides himself! If you care so much, go ahead and get anyone married, or do it yourself. Don't expect me to get involved in this ridiculous business!" With that, Shlok began to walk away.

He hadn't even taken a single step forward when Vishambhar Ji, in a deep voice, said, "I can tell you something you've been trying to figure out for years. In exchange, you'll have to marry."

As soon as Shlok heard this, his steps came to a halt. He turned around, looked at Vishambhar Ji, and with a mocking smile said, "Do you really think Shlok Goenka needs you to tell him anything? If I want, I can find out everything with a snap of my fingers!"

He was about to walk away again when Vishambhar Ji suddenly shouted something that made Shlok freeze in his place.

Shlok turned back to face Vishambhar Goenka, whose face was full of arrogance. Looking at him, Shlok's eyes filled with hatred.

Flashback End.

Shlok was lost in the thoughts of what Vishambhar Ji had said, which was why he had agreed to the marriage. He threw the bottle of alcohol he was holding to the side, closed his eyes, and lay down on the sand. In a very soft voice, he murmured, "I hate you." By now, he was heavily intoxicated.

His assistant Rahul, who was standing at a distance, rushed over to him. He tried to lift Shlok, but Shlok, in his drunken state, was mumbling Isha's name repeatedly. With the help of some bodyguards, Rahul managed to get Shlok into the car. Shortly after, the car sped off toward the Goenka mansion.

On the other side, in the Ashiyana Orphanage.

A beautiful girl stood by the window of her room, holding a small diary and pen, smiling as she gazed at the moon. Suddenly, someone placed a hand on her shoulder from behind and said, "What are you doing, Isha? Aren't you going to sleep?"

Isha, a simple 22-year-old girl, turned around to see the girl standing behind her. Isha had grown up in the orphanage from childhood until now. After staying there for 18 years, she had started working at the same place. Her friend Vaishnavi, who had also grown up in the orphanage and had been with her since childhood, was standing behind her, watching her.

With a sweet smile, Isha replied, "Nothing, just writing something while thinking about them."

Hearing this, Vaishnavi looked at her with a stern expression and said, "What do you mean by writing for them? It's 12:00, aren't you going to sleep? You keep thinking about them every time you see them. Don't you get it? They don't like you. If they did, they would have answered your confession by now. It's been two years, and they just stay silent, listening to your words without saying anything. Anyway, what did you write? Tell me."

After hearing Vaishnavi's words, Isha smiled and said, "Their silence says a lot. I don't need their words because in their silence, I've already felt their unspoken feelings." With that, a sweet smile appeared on Isha's lips.

Vaishnavi snatched the diary from her hands and said, "Let me read what you've written for your love."

Isha, looking at Vaishnavi, said, "Give it back, my diary. It's not right to read someone's diary like this."

"Give it back," Isha said, chasing after Vaishnavi, while Vaishnavi laughed and tried to read it, running around the room with the diary in hand.

Finally, Isha sighed deeply and said, "Fine, give it back. I'll tell you myself."

Looking at Isha, Vaishnavi said, "If you don't tell me, I won't talk to you." Saying this, she returned the diary.

Isha took the diary in her hands and closed her eyes. As soon as she closed her eyes, Shlok's handsome face appeared before her. Remembering him, she whispered softly...

In your memories, I live every day,

In every heartbeat, in every breath, I feel only you.

I don't want the moments confined to a date,

My love is the one that transcends the limits of time.

The freshness in your eyes,

Let it become the light of my morning,

Let those same colors be my moonlight every night.

This love isn't just a one-day game,

These are the feelings that stay alive in every breath.

Without you, my heart feels incomplete,

But I am sure, my love will never stop,

It will never stray from its path.

Isha continued to speak with her eyes closed, while Vaishnavi watched her face. She stepped forward, cupping Isha's face in her hands and said, "Isha, you said it all without even reading."

Isha opened her eyes and smiled, replying, "Yes, because his name is written in every breath of mine, his name is in every heartbeat. I've never asked anything from God, just him. I am sure this time, Mahadev won't disappoint me." As she spoke, a sweet smile played on Isha's lips.

Looking at her face, Vaishnavi said, "Oh Mahadev, please bless my friend with happiness." Vaishnavi too smiled as she spoke.

On the other side, at the Goenka mansion, as Ibadat looked at the picture, her eyes widened. A soft "hot 🥵" slipped out of her mouth. In the next moment, she widened her eyes even further and, covering her mouth with her small hands, she said, "Ibadat, how can you say such things? Don't forget, you're a married girl now." Her face was full of cute expressions. Pouting, she stared at the picture and said, "Who are you? What are you doing in our room? Get out of here!" She started shaking the picture, as if it would walk away on its own.

In the next moment, Ibadat made an innocent face and said, "But who is this?" She placed her finger on her cheek, making a cute expression as she thought for a moment. After thinking for a while, she softly said, "Saaransh had mentioned he has an older brother. Is this his older brother?" Ibadat looked at the picture with her big eyes, then pouted and added, "But still, My Saaransh is more handsome." Making a cute face, she said, "But where is he? Where is Saaransh?"

By now, Ibadat had become quite sad because Saaransh hadn't shown up yet, and she was waiting. Just then, the voice of a servant reached her ears. Ibadat quickly opened her door, and the servant stood there holding a glass of milk. Ibadat hurriedly took the glass and asked, "Aunty, where is Saaransh?"

The servant stood frozen, looking at her. With her innocent face, big eyes, kohl-lined lashes, and a sweet smile, Ibadat looked so adorable.

The servant replied softly, "Sir will be here in a little while." What else could she say? The whole house knew that Saaransh had run away before the wedding, and everyone knew that Ibadat had married Shlok. But this innocent child had no idea who the devil she had married.

Ibadat made a cute face and said, "Please send him upstairs quickly, I don't feel good." She smiled sweetly at the servant, then closed the door behind her and went inside. She looked at the glass of milk and said, "We need energy too, right?" Her cheeks turned pink as she made a cute face and added, "Shreya said today is our first wedding night." Her cheeks grew even pinker as she quickly finished the milk and walked out to the balcony, gazing at the glowing moon in the sky.

Looking at the shining moon, she said, "Chandu Mama, look how beautiful i look, but Saaransh didn't compliment me, i am so angry!" She pouted, talking to the moon. She placed her little hands on her cheeks and said, "He should've complimented his beautiful wife, right?" She made a face and said, "We'll break his head, how could he do this to us? Now, we're his wife, right?" Ibadat continued to complain about Saaransh to the moon.

Meanwhile, in the parking area below, Rahul was watching Shlok stagger out with bodyguards. Shlok was heavily intoxicated. As soon as he realized the car had stopped, he pushed Rahul aside and, in a slurred voice, said, "I'm not weak, I can go on my own!" Stumbling, he made his way inside. Rahul tried to follow him, but after seeing Shlok's anger, he stepped back in fear. He decided to let Shlok go inside alone and left.

Shlok staggered into the living room. As soon as he entered, he heard Vishambar Ji's voice. Shlok glanced at Vishambar Ji but ignored him, heading straight to the stairs, moving toward his floor. Vishambar Ji, who had been waiting for this moment, clenched his fists when he saw Shlok ignoring him like that.

Shlok reached his room. Having drunk heavily, he was too intoxicated to make sense of anything. As he looked around at the room's decoration, his eyes narrowed. He scanned the entire room but didn't find anyone. With a voice full of hatred, he muttered, "It would be better if you stay away from me. If you come in front of me, I might just kill you!" With that, Shlok staggered into the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Ibadat, who had been talking to the moon in the balcony, now looked tired. She, too, was feeling sleepy. In a voice full of sadness, she said, "Now I'm feeling sleepy, but Saaransh won't get away, that jerk!" Then, as a smile crept on her face, she added, "But now he's our 'hubby'." Her cheeks turned pink again as she walked slowly into the room. Just then, the bathroom door opened. The room was dark except for a yellow light that was on. Shlok had only changed his clothes, not having taken a shower, and was still heavily drunk. Ibadat, too, was drowsy, so she couldn't see things clearly.

As soon as she heard the sound of the door opening, she looked up and saw someone standing in front of her, though she couldn't clearly make out their face. The moment she saw a man, her eyes lit up. The next moment, she ran and threw herself into his arms. She wrapped her small arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, saying in a cute voice, "Saaransh, you're so naughty, where did you go? Do you know how angry I was? Today is our wedding night, and you left your beautiful wife alone! You didn't even compliment me, come on, quickly compliment me!"

Shlok, who was drunk, got lost in the sweetness of her voice as he heard it, because it sounded so sweet and childlike. But as soon as he remembered that this was the same girl who had driven his love away from him, he shoved her away with all his strength. Shouting, he said, "How dare you! How dare you touch me?" Shlok's voice was very loud. Due to this push, Ibadat fell flat on her face on the floor. As soon as she hit the ground, a loud scream escaped from her mouth. The next moment, she started crying like a child and said, "Saaransh, you're so bad, you made me fall!" She lifted her face and looked up, and as soon as she saw someone other than Saaransh, a loud scream escaped from her mouth.
