Dry winds howl into the Ten Thousand Mountains as clashes of steel and cries of a thousand men echoes. Hyeon, an old man and a once renowned Master of the Justice Faction stood heavily wounded, facing his adversaries. His expression is that of a dying old man yet still as fierce as a mad tiger. His battered Blue Gi flies with the wind, revealing several arrows and rips that came from sword strikes. His long white hair that ran down to his shoulders are wet with blood and sweat. He grips his fists and begins to channel his Ki once more.
"Stop this madness at once! Cheon Ma is already dead, these children do not deserve to be brutalized like this!" Hyeon screams as he takes a fighting stance.
The man in front of him just laughed, carefully brushing up his wet black hair. He drops the disemboweled child and said
"These vermins deserve nothing less. They are followers of that vile demon Cheon Ma, and therefore must be exterminated thoroughly, so this world shall be free of the evil this cult brings."
Hyeon swiftly dashes towards the man, throwing a punch with every strength that he could muster, but to no avail, it was blocked effortlessly by the man.
"Hyeon, what manner of hubris is this? How do you think a mere Master like you could even harm a Divine Master like me?" The man chuckles as he brushes off Hyeon's bloodied fists off his arms.
"Cheon Ma was a good man..." Hyeon mutters while the face of the man twists in disgust.
"He was a strong man, he protected the weak from the injustices that OUR FACTION HAS BROUGHT!" Hyeon shouts as he spins kick the man across his jaws, sending him flying a few meters to the side.
The man simply wipes the dirt from his jaws as he regains his composure.
"HYEON HAS TURNED AGAINST US! HE IS A TRAITOR TO RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THEREFORE MUST BE ELIMINATED!" The man shouts as loud as he could.
All the warriors of the Justice Faction nearby immediately turned their attention towards Hyeon. They charge up their Ki and dashes forward with their bloodied swords drawn. They are so fast that Hyeon barely had enough time to react. Hyeon pulls his fist back and throws a punch in mid-air.
"Demonic-Dragon Fist!" Hyeon shouts as the shockwave from his punch booms loudly with his Ki, forming a face of a Demon with a body of a Dragon flying towards the warriors of the Justice Faction.
The warriors was sent flying back by several meters by Hyeon's technique. Some were able to withstand the shockwave, while some were heavily injured and the unlucky ones were outright killed on impact. The warriors of the Justice Faction sensed the Demonic Ki from the attack, and with much more vigor, they yelled with newfound determination to kill Hyeon where he stands.
"TRAITOR! DEMONIC CULTIST! VILE DEMON!" The warriors shouts as they continue to charge on.
Hyeon quickly retreats, taking advantage of the distance he gained with his attack, towards the Heavenly Palace where Cheon Ma was killed. The once majestic Palace made of ivory, jade, and iron-wood is now reduced to nothing but ruins. Upon entering the Palace, Hyeon was greeted by several corpses of Justice Faction warriors ranging from Masters to Grandmasters to Divine Masters sprawled across the floor, surrounding the Throne. At the Throne, there lies Cheon Ma, bloodied and with several spears and swords impaled through his body that protrudes out his back.
Hyeon runs forward, trying to ignore the mess in the Throne Room, but can't help but feel hurt on the state of Cheon Ma's death. He dashes through the Palace and entered Cheon Ma's study. The room is filled to the brim with various paperworks, scrolls, and tomes that would be highly coveted by any Martial Artists. Most of these single tomes, when sold, is enough to secure one's retirement and his son's, and his son's sons future. But those are of no relevance for now, as Hyeon is being pursued by warriors, some are even far superior than him.
Hyeon rummages through the scrolls and found what he was looking for. It was a heavy scroll made of unknown parchment, supported by a bulky golden metal. He thinks back to his past and remembered that Cheon Ma stated that this particular scroll has the power of salvation. Hyeon is not sure how to use the scroll, all he knows is that it might be his only saving grace
Hyeon hears the warriors getting closer and he decides to open the scroll. Expecting the scroll to activate when opened or atleast have an instruction or some sort of spell in it. Anything. Hyeon's eyes widen as he only sees a large incomprehensible symbol on the scroll written in dark red ink. His fear creeps in as nothing happened, apart from the disturbing ink that was used in the scroll.
The warriors of the Justice Faction bursts in Cheon Ma's study and flooded the room. They surrounded Hyeon with weapons drawn.
"It's over, vile traitor!" One of the warriors shouts as they all charge in to deliver the killing blow.
Time seems to slow for Hyeon as he thinks back to his life. Where did it all go wrong? If I was stronger, could I have done something to prevent this? He closes his eyes and mutters, "I never did become a true Master after all..."
Splash. Shunk. Pishh. Rip. Crush.
Several weapons have pierced, sliced, and hit Hyeon's body. His blood running down his gi, his knees give in as he slowly fades out of conciousness. With a weak breath, he draws his final words,
"I wish I could atleast leave a legacy of Cheon Ma and my own..."
The scroll in his hands, soaked with his own blood, suddenly bursts into dark purple flame, burning it. Hyeon looks at the scroll and remembered the Ki of Cheon Ma. With a weak smile on his old, wrinkled face, he takes a good long look upon the fire until he can see no more but darkness.
