The sun glistens at noon, with birds chirping, the light rush of a water stream, and the occational wind howling decorates the forest as Hyeon treks through the mountains in search of herbs that he can use to make Ki pills. Hyeon stops midway to take a rest. He sits down on a clearing right beside a flower bed. He reflects upon his past, where it all went wrong. He takes out a pen and paper and starts writing.
If only I learned Martial Arts at an early stage.
He strokes his pen and writes down Breathing Techniques, Ki Accumulation Techniques, Martial Arts Techniques, and Cultivation Techniques. He calls it The Mortal Tome. Inspired by the Demonic Ways of the Demon Cult and the Divine Techniques of various sects in the Justice Faction. He took what he learned from both sides and found the perfect balance in them. A form that exists in between the Divine and the Demonic. A form that encompasses both control and strength. He also writes a warning in his tome, Those who try to master the Mortal Ways too late will suffer Ki Reflux as he did a long time ago.
He continues that all who already practiced martial arts should stick to a single discipline, lest the Ki they accumulate will fight a war inside one's body, causing a massive Ki Reflux that will eventually lead to death.
As Hyeon closes his tome, he shuts his eyes and inhales deeply. I wish I had an apprentice, he thought. A faint weep broke Hyeon's thoughts. He could hear it, he stands up and surveys his surroundings. He is sure of it, it is a sound of a weeping child. He follows the sound, through the woods, traversing rocks and avoiding entangled roots, he passes through the bamboo forest and saw a white colored ball-shaped unknown. He cautiously steps down to investigate, only to find a small boy that looks like a three year old. He picks up the weeping boy clad in a strange armor, and a tail falls down. This surprised Hyeon but he smiles.
"Well, aren't you a precious one? Where are your parents? Are you alone?." Hyeon asks with a gentle, soothing voice.
Kakarot looks at him, he stops crying and screams in anger as he kicks Hyeon in the chin. This sent Hyeon's head to whip backwards from the sheer power of Kakarot's kick.
"What power!" Hyeon grunts in pain but maintains his grip on the boy.
Kakarot's struggling continues as Hyeon tries to cradle him securely. He flails his hands and feet, occassionally hitting Hyeon with powerful blows but Hyeon remains stone-faced through it all. Hyeon looks around for signs of the boy's parents but nothing came up. Eventually, Hyeon strikes the boy's pressure point to knock him back to sleep. Hyeon heads home to Gohan's refuge as the sun goes down.
Upon Hyeon's arrival, he is greeted by Gohan and saw the sleeping little boy.
"I found him in the woods the poor thing." Hyeon states with pity in his eyes.
Gohan steps closer and cradles the young boy in his arms. The boy wakes up and curiously stares at Gohan.
"Have you named him yet?" Gohan asks with excitement.
"Not yet. I was pre-occupied with trying to find his parents that I never thought about it yet. I brought him here after concluding that he might have been abandoned due to his abnormality." Hyeon replies while pointing to the boy's tail.
Gohan looks at the tail and smiles.
"Goku! That's your name. And you shall inherit mine too. Your name is Son Goku!" Gohan says as he lifts the young boy up in the air.
Goku smiles joyfully. Gohan's happiness could not be contained but was cut short when a warm trickling liquid began to flow on his head. Goku had just peed on him. Goku laughs mischieviously but Gohan remained happy.
"Goku?" Hyeon asks curiously.
"It is but a reference to the Monkey King. I think it fits." Gohan replies while playing with the young boy.
Hyeon smiles warmly with the sight. Their play suddenly stops when Goku started to kick and punch Gohan in the face. This made Gohan surprised by the sheer strength of the boy.
"A strong one aren't you?" Gohan laughs as he struggles to contain the now pissed off Goku.
"I better teach you how to use that strength of yours. Such a gifted fighter you are!" Gohan states while heading back home.
Hyeon is suddenly struck with a realization. Could the Gods have heard my pleas? With new found determination, Hyeon happily joins Goku and Gohan. As he looks at them, he remembers that Gohan never had any child, and must have been longing to have one of his own. He thinks to himself that perhaps the Gods heard both of their wishes.
The next morning, Gohan left for the city early to gather supplies necessary for raising a child. Hyeon was left alone with the rampaging Goku. He struggles to keep the peace and order in the house as Goku destroys things in his thrashing.
"Its best if we leave for a while. Come on, accompany me while I gather herbs." Hyeon says as he ties Goku on his back securely, Goku just looks at Hyeon, not understanding a single word he just said.
Goku continues to struggle by biting hard into Hyeon's back, nape, and head. Hyeon swiftly traverse the rocky mountains in search of ingredients for a Ki pill. Upon arriving at a cliff that overlooks a deep ravine, Goku managed to break free of his cradle. He shoves Hyeon to free himself completely, only to find himself falling off a cliff. Hyeon quickly tries to catch Goku but it was too late. Goku was already falling deep into the ravine. Hyeon's heart races, cold sweat forms on his forehead as he uses his flying Ki-gong technique to chase after Goku.
With a loud bang, Goku hits his head on a rock knocking him unconcious. His head is bleeding. Hyeon arrives late at the scene and cries in worry. He holds Goku tightly as he soars through the ravine using his flying Ki-gong technique. He steps and sprints through the air, and uses a bit of his life-force to put more power and speed into his flight. In no time, he arrives home and quickly rummages through their storage. He pulls out a couple of herbs and roots, crushes them and puts them into a bandage. He wraps the bandage into Goku's head carefully. Hyeon sits down to get a short break, and to calm himself.
Suddenly, Goku's lower abdomen started glowing a purple hue, wild burst of purple flame appeared throughout Goku's body. Gohan arrives home, astonished at the sight. Speechless he kneels beside the burning boy, nervous. Hyeon recognizes this purple energy. It is the Demonic ki of Cheon Ma. How it came to be in the possession of this boy is a mystery but it is not a matter of utmost urgency now. Goku is suffering from a Ki Reflux due to the strong impact on his head.
Hyeon places his hands on the boy's abdomen and closes his eyes to concentrare on trying to stabilize Goku's Ki. He feels the Ki of the boy, like a crashing wave ready to break the dam. The surge of Ki is so violent that Hyeon could barely breathe while trying to circulate the Ki. He carefully guides the Ki from Goku's lower abdomen Dantian through the meridians and carefully passing through the middle Dantian and eventually through the upper Dantian. This reduces the pressure in Goku's Dantian. Eventually, the flames calm down and everything is silent. Hyeon expels the impurities he gathered from the circulation and sits down in relief. Gohan smiles in relief and hugs Goku.
"What happened?" Gohan asks weakly.
"It was entirely my fault. He fell into a ravine and hit his head... After performing first-aid, he suffered Ki Reflux... Luckily he is stabilized for now." Hyeon answers with guilt.
"I should have been more careful..." Hyeon whispers with a shaky voice, trying not to cry.
"No use crying over spilled milk Hyeon. What matters is, we are all fine." Gohan says reassuringly.
"Such Ki he possess, stronger than anything I've ever felt before." Gohan says as he carefully tucks Goku on the bed.
Hyeon explains the nature of the purple Ki, or atleast what he thinks of it. He isn't sure but he suspects it to be similar to Cheon Ma's. They both agree to teach Goku Martial Arts as early as possible. To teach Goku to control his power and to teach Goku how to be gentle.
The next day, Goku wakes up. Hyeon and Gohan prepare themselves for the usual rampaging Goku. They were left speechless when instead of a kick, Goku instead hugged them happily. This sudden change of behavior certainly worried both Hyeon and Gohan. They suspect that the accident might have something to do with it. They first taught Goku the fundamentals of living which is reading, writing, language, and mathematics. Goku had a hard time learning them but eventually he did.
Months pass by, Goku found Hyeon meditating. He sits beside Hyeon and tried to imitate the old man. He sits in a lotus position and looks at Hyeon, he copies his stance. Hyeon was too deep in his Ki Circulation to notice what Goku was doing. Hours pass by, and Hyeon finishes his circulation. He opens his eyes and found Goku trying to imitate him. He smiles at first, but suddenly became serious when he senses his Ki.
Goku's Ki is circulating! How is this possible? I never taught him anything yet. Is he a prodigy?
Hyeon places his hand on Goku's back, sending some of his Ki to him to guide him.
"Listen well Goku, follow the flow of my Ki and remember it." Hyeon says.
Goku listens and feels Hyeon's Ki flowing in his meridians. He follows the Ki with his own, and memorizes it. After a while, Hyeon lets Goku circulate his Ki on his own. To his surprise, Goku managed to perform the Ki Circulation perfectly.
Hyeon smiles as he realizes Goku's potential. Goku performed the first steps of the Mortal Technique designed by Hyeon himself.
Three years pass by, Goku continues his training with Hyeon and Gohan. Hyeon teaches the Mortal Techniques while Gohan teaches various Martial Arts Style and Techniques alongside the basics of Turtle Hermit School.
Goku's daily routine are as follows:

He follows this routine like a clockwork for a couple of years and quickly raises his Power Level from 2 to 13.
Until, one fateful midnight, Goku awoke from his sleep to answer the call of nature. Still groggy from his sleep, he goes out of the house to pee quite a distant away. He rubs his eyes and looks at the beautiful full moon. He never saw anything like it. It was the first time for him. He always went to bed early because of the training so he never got the chance to see the moon. He stares at the moon in a trance like state.
Hyeon wakes up to drink a cup of water like he usually does. He sees that Goku is outside admiring the moon. Hyeon smiles and decides to go admire the moon with Goku, to spend some quality time with him.
As he comes closer to Goku, he stops. Something is... Wrong.
Goku slowly enlarges, his muscles bulging, his growls deepening, veins pop out of his body, and fur starts to cover his skin. He continues to grow larger and larger until it ripped his clothing to shreds. The moon casts a shadow over Goku's enlargening body, completely covering Hyeon. Hyeon could do nothing but stare in shock and in fear.
"G-Goku? What manner of nightmare is this?" Hyeon shakingly mutters as he watches in horror how Goku grows into the gargantuan Oozaru.
