Professor Quirrell had not expected Hagrid to speak in such a humorous manner, to the point where he felt somewhat uneasy inside. However, fortunately, Hagrid was just joking.
"Magic is a fascinating, terrifying subject. I think you may not need it, Potter!"
His voice trembled and stammered, leaving Harry unsure whether Professor Quirrell was excited or nervous, which made Harry feel somewhat awkward.
However, Harry still smiled, which made Professor Quirrell relax a bit.
Callister looked at Professor Quirrell and smiled slightly. "Professor Quirrell, there's no need to be so nervous. Harry is a kind-hearted boy, I'm sure you understand that."
Upon hearing this, Professor Quirrell turned to Callister. The tension in his face eased a little, and he appeared somewhat more composed, though his speech still had that stammer.
"Yes, you're absolutely right, Mr. Callister. Harry is a kind-hearted boy."
Harry listened to their conversation and smiled at Callister.
He liked the sound of Callister's voice, especially when he spoke so kindly of him.
Hagrid also agreed with the notion of Harry Potter's kindness and smiled with satisfaction. He then patted Harry on the shoulder and said, "Kind-hearted Harry, we should get going. There's still plenty of stuff to buy."
Harry nodded, then smiled at Callister and the others. "Goodbye!"
Callister smiled faintly and said, "We're headed in the same direction. At least, I am going to that place."
Harry, hearing this, felt confused.
What place was he referring to?
Hagrid glanced at Callister, thought for a moment, and then said, "Are you a new student this semester?"
Upon hearing this, Harry looked expectantly at Callister.
If this gentle, handsome, and sunny big brother was a student at Hogwarts, life should be quite interesting, right? Huh, why did it feel so interesting?
Harry Potter was somewhat puzzled by his own thoughts and found it a bit strange.
Callister nodded. "I suppose so!"
Callister didn't tell them that he was a newly hired professor at Hogwarts, responding casually instead.
Hagrid chuckled and said happily, "Well, you're certainly a late student. With your height and age, you should be a graduate by now."
"However, it doesn't matter. Hogwarts welcomes all talented students."
"Now, I need to take Harry to buy his school supplies. Let's head inside."
Callister smiled and nodded, following Hagrid and Harry toward the Leaky Cauldron.
Professor Quirrell watched Harry's retreating figure, his expression somewhat dazed and not very friendly.
Then, as he saw Callister's back, especially when they turned the corner and their eyes met, Professor Quirrell noticed the slight smile on Callister's lips, which carried a hidden meaning.
"This child... he doesn't seem very friendly."
Professor Quirrell muttered to himself as he looked at the empty space.
The entrance to Diagon Alley was behind the small courtyard wall of the pub. If you knocked the right brick, counting three bricks from the garbage bin and two horizontally, a door to Diagon Alley would open.
Of course, if you had Floo Powder, you could simply say the name of your destination and, while standing in the fireplace, throw the powder at your feet to instantly transport to your desired place.
Diagon Alley was a long street paved with cobblestones, lined with all kinds of strange and exciting shops and restaurants.
Young wizards usually visit here before starting at Hogwarts to buy their school supplies.
Diagon Alley was the most prosperous commercial street in the magical world of Britain. The land was becoming increasingly scarce, and property prices were rising every day.
But it couldn't be denied that it was a thriving area—if you opened a store here, you would certainly make a lot of money.
"Look, our kind-hearted Harry is so famous. Just hearing your name fills people with admiration and welcomes."
As Hagrid opened the back door of the pub, he proudly pulled out his wand—a pink, somewhat unique umbrella—and showed it off to Harry.
Harry, somewhat puzzled, asked, "Why am I so famous? How do those people know who I am?"
Hagrid's expression turned slightly sad as he replied, "Maybe it's not quite right for me to tell you, Harry."
After speaking, Hagrid tapped the wall with his umbrella.
Callister, walking in behind Harry, smiled and said, "Because you have parents who love you, especially your mother. Also, you're a lucky boy. Of course, they know you, but what's more important is that title."
Harry, hearing Callister's words, was curious about the title and asked, "Mr. Callister, do you know what the reason is?"
Hagrid, who had been opening the door, furrowed his brows at Callister's words, clearly not wanting him to continue.
But he didn't have time to stop him because Callister spoke up.
"Yes, the main reason you're so famous is because you're the boy who survived Voldemort's killing curse when you were just a baby. So, you're known as the 'Boy Who Lived.'"
"You're a miracle."
Callister smiled at Harry.
"Voldemort!" Harry's face turned pale as he shuddered when speaking those three words.
He knew all too well what those words meant to him, and it filled him with fear.
Hagrid looked at Harry, though somewhat unhappy with Callister, and comforted him, saying, "Harry, don't be too nervous. Though he was terrifying, he's been killed."
"Of course, you need to become stronger so that people who know you will notice your strength, not just your identity."
Callister smiled faintly and said, "Hagrid is absolutely right. So, Harry, I look forward to the day when you become strong."
"In a way, you are still a savior."
"I hope your life at Hogwarts won't be too easy."
Harry, reassured by Hagrid and Callister, quickly calmed down and seriously told Callister, "Hagrid, Callister, I will work hard to grow stronger and become a powerful wizard."
Hagrid, hearing Harry's words, smiled in satisfaction.
Hagrid laughed loudly, feeling both bold and very amusing.
This made Harry smile too.
Callister smiled gently, maintaining his composure and manners, with his noble demeanor clearly evident.
"Well then, welcome to Diagon Alley, Harry!"
Hagrid expertly knocked on the brick wall, and the gate to Diagon Alley appeared before Harry Potter's eyes.
Callister smiled at Harry and said, "I need to visit Gringotts. What about you two?"
"We're going there too, Callister!" Harry replied, smiling happily.
"Well, that's quite the coincidence!" Callister said, a smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
