After Bu Shiyi and Bu Lige left, Luo Chuan resumed lounging on his recliner, basking in the sun.
He didn't expect his peace to be interrupted so soon when a pleasant voice rang out nearby.
"Are you the owner of this store?"
Luo Chuan opened his eyes and saw a woman standing before him. She had a slender figure and wore a sleek black outfit. Her long black hair was tied back into a ponytail, giving her an air of confidence and strength.
"Origin Mall, huh? Quite a bold name," she remarked, glancing at the shop's sign with an amused expression.
Luo Chuan remained expressionless and silent.
Finding his lack of response irritating, the woman frowned. "I'm asking if you're the boss. Can you at least say something?"
Finally, Luo Chuan spoke in his usual calm tone. "Yes, I am. What do you want to buy?"
"Healing pills or something like that. Since you call this place a mall, you should have those, right?" she replied after a moment's thought.
Luo Chuan shook his head. "No, I don't sell those."
The woman—Wei Qingzhu—paused, clearly annoyed by his straightforward response. She was about to leave when Luo Chuan added casually, "I don't sell pills, but the items I do offer are far better."
Wei Qingzhu raised an eyebrow, then laughed. "Quite the bold claim, little boss. Well, now I'm curious. Let's see what you've got."
She walked into the shop, and just as Luo Chuan expected, her astonished voice echoed moments later.
"What?! This whole place is decorated with colored glaze? Boss, just how wealthy are you?"
Luo Chuan smirked internally but didn't respond. In this world, colored glaze was considered a rare treasure, but to him, it was no big deal.
Wei Qingzhu took a deep breath, suppressing her resentment toward the rich, and began examining the shop's goods.
Her initial curiosity quickly turned into outrage. "Ten Spirit Crystals for a bottle of Coke? And a hundred for a single spicy strip? Boss, are you robbing people?"
Luo Chuan remained calm and replied evenly, "Everything sold here is worth the price. There's no random markup."
Wei Qingzhu glared at him, unconvinced. "Ridiculous! This is the first time I've seen a shopkeeper like you in Nine Stars City!"
Luo Chuan gestured toward the shelves. "Take a look at the descriptions under the items."
"Descriptions?" Wei Qingzhu frowned. She realized she had only looked at the prices earlier and missed the accompanying explanations.
Curious, she returned to the shelves and carefully read the descriptions for the spicy strips and Coke.
After finishing, she gasped. If the descriptions were true, the prices were actually a bargain.
"Boss, is this for real?" Wei Qingzhu asked, still skeptical.
"Honest business," Luo Chuan replied coolly.
Wei Qingzhu hesitated for a moment before making up her mind. "Fine, I'll buy them!"
"Thank you for your patronage. That'll be one hundred Spirit Crystals," Luo Chuan said, a faint smile crossing his face.
Wei Qingzhu took a bottle of Coke and a pack of spicy strips, then placed one hundred Spirit Crystals on the counter.
However, just as Luo Chuan was about to take the payment, Wei Qingzhu placed her hand over the crystals.
Luo Chuan looked at her, puzzled.
"Boss," she said firmly, "if these don't work as described..."
For someone like Wei Qingzhu, a hundred Spirit Crystals was no small expense. She couldn't afford to waste it on a scam.
Luo Chuan remained unfazed and replied in his usual indifferent tone, "You're welcome to return anytime."
