Chapter 16 - Please Leave Gracefully

Such a powerful item being sold for just one hundred spirit crystals was unbelievably cheap!

To the young man's surprise, Luo Chuan shook his head and replied indifferently, "Our store has rules: each person can only buy one of each item per day."

The young man frowned and tried again, "What if I double the price?"

Two hundred spirit crystals for a pack of spicy strips was still a bargain in his eyes.

Luo Chuan shook his head again, gazing upward at the sky in a contemplative manner. He then uttered a phrase destined to be remembered: "Actually, I'm not interested in spirit crystals."

The young man froze for a moment, then let out an incredulous laugh, his face twisting with irritation.

"Hah, good! Very good!" His tone was sharp, and a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes. "Listen carefully! Not only do I want the spicy strips and Coke—I want this entire store!"

He sneered, emphasizing his intent: "And when I say I want it, I mean I'm taking it—not buying it!"

"If this weren't Nine Stars City, your life wouldn't even be your own!"

"Now, while I'm still in a good mood, get out!"

The young man glared coldly at Luo Chuan, his lips curling in a menacing grin. In his mind, Luo Chuan was just a clueless shopkeeper who had stumbled upon some treasures left behind by a deceased cultivator—a common occurrence on Azure Continent. Worse, the man had no idea of their true value, selling them at such a ridiculously low price.

Behind him, Uncle Fu, the old man with the aura of a seasoned warrior, stood silently. His calm demeanor betrayed no emotion, but it was clear he would act instantly if Luo Chuan made even the slightest wrong move.

"The door is behind you. Please leave gracefully," Luo Chuan said, pointing casually at the exit with an expressionless face.

Leave gracefully?

The young man blinked, momentarily confused. But as the meaning of Luo Chuan's words sank in, his face darkened with fury.

"You dare ask me to leave?"

Taking a deep breath, he growled, "Even if the Southern Protector himself appeared here today, he wouldn't be able to save you! You offended someone you never should have crossed, and now you'll pay the price!"

With that, silver energy engulfed the young man's fist as he hurled it straight at Luo Chuan's head. The surge of spiritual power rippled through the air—it was the strength of a Fatebound Ascension cultivator, nearing its peak!

This wasn't just an attack. It was a killing blow.

Luo Chuan frowned slightly, watching the young man approach. This guy dares to attack me in my own store?

He had yet to test the full extent of the system's enhancements, and now this arrogant fool had presented himself as the perfect test subject.

The young man had expected to see Luo Chuan panic or dodge, but instead, the shopkeeper remained perfectly still. A sudden sense of unease crept over him.

Boom!

Just as the young man's fist was about to connect, an invisible barrier stopped him cold. His entire body jolted to a halt, and a faint cracking sound came from his arm. He gritted his teeth in pain, his face pale with shock.

The boss hadn't even moved.

"Do you know the price of causing trouble in this shop?" Luo Chuan said calmly, his tone devoid of emotion.

The young man found himself completely immobilized, as if held by some unseen force. Beads of cold sweat formed on his forehead—partly from pain, partly from terror.

"Fu Bo!"

Panicking, the young man called out to the old man behind him.

If Luo Chuan could restrain him so effortlessly, his strength must be at least at the level of Origin Mastery. Against such power, the young man had no chance on his own.
