Chapter 8 - Making way through force

The morning of the next day arrived quickly, and with it, Sophia was ready to leave for the 'Pis Aller' academy.

"Bye, Mom. Take care of yourself," Sophia said to the woman who looked just like her older version.

"You too, sweetie. Take care of yourself—and that boy as well."

The boy she was referring to was none other than Ravi. She knew how her daughter felt about him and, though she wasn't against it, she considered Ravi like her own child.

Sophia said her goodbyes and headed out to meet Ravi.

Dressed in simple blue jeans and a white top, which were quite ordinary, she still looked stunning—rivaling the beauty of divine beings.

She entered Ravi's house and made her way to his room, where he lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling.

While Sophia was bubbling with excitement about joining the academy, Ravi was unfazed. He didn't care whether he went to the academy or not. In fact, he hadn't even bothered to change his clothes.

Sophia, though, wasn't pleased to see this. She had reminded him nearly every day to prepare for this moment. Although she knew he would be like this, a part of her had hoped for a bit more enthusiasm.

When Ravi looked at her, she noticed something different in his eyes. Six months ago, they had been filled with regret, sadness, and despair; now, they were cold, emotionless.

But that coldness only made him even more handsome. He seemed like someone unaffected by the desires of the world. His rainbow-colored eyes, darker-than-black hair, and flawless body made him seem like a perfect being.

Ravi stood from the bed, his height now reaching 6 feet. He gazed at her for a moment before walking toward her.

As he moved, his clothes disintegrated, replaced by something new.

He had been wearing regular pants and a blue shirt, but now he was dressed in black jeans, a black shirt, and a black cloak. A blindfold covered his eyes, and his head was concealed beneath his cloak.

Sophia wasn't surprised; she had seen him do this before. But she didn't understand why he would cover his eyes.

"Why are you covering your eyes? Can you still see with that blindfold?" she asked.

Ravi said nothing, simply nodding.

Sophia wasn't shocked by his silence. She had long since become accustomed to it. With a slight nod, she motioned for him to follow her, and they headed to the station to catch the train.

After the invasion, most transportation was done through trains running underground, safer than traveling outside, where even third-stage warriors needed protection.

Sophia and Ravi boarded the train, heading toward a city called 'Golak.' Their home, 'Barsana,' was a peaceful place, but Golak was where they'd be filling out their entrance forms to join 'Pis Aller.'

When they arrived in Golak two hours later, they were immediately confronted by a massive crowd.

Unlike Barsana, where everything was calm and quiet, this city was buzzing with life. Most of the people here were like Sophia and Ravi—here for the academy's entrance.

The crowd was overwhelming, and the line seemed endless.

Although they had made it in just two hours, they now faced hours of waiting in line.

Without wasting time, they joined the line, but something strange happened.

Nobody dared approach Ravi. An invisible barrier surrounded him, keeping everyone at least a meter away.

Only Sophia understood what was happening. Ravi had created a barrier to keep others away—even her, despite their time together for the past six months.

The barrier quickly became a nuisance. Complaints began to arise.

"Hey, who the hell is this guy?"

"Quit using your power and stop bothering us."

"And what's with his mysterious look? Does he think he's a big shot?"

Sophia shot them a glare, her patience wearing thin.

Then, a couple of boys started commenting about Sophia's beauty.

"Who's the hot chick next to him? His girlfriend?"

"Nah, she's probably just his sister, babysitting him. Hahaha."

"Yeah, right. How could someone like her be with someone like him? He's such a pussy."

The two boys laughed at their own jokes, but this only fueled the fire inside Sophia.

She had developed a possessive streak when it came to Ravi. She wanted him all to herself, and anyone who tried to harm him triggered a deep sense of fear and rage within her.

Without thinking, she unleashed her aura—a chilling, icy-cold presence that spread around her. Everyone, not just the two boys, felt it. Sweat poured from their bodies, and their muscles froze with fear.

The aura was so intense that most of the people around her collapsed to their knees, some even fainting.

Sophia was shocked by the result when her eyes returned to normal. Her aura had dispersed quickly, but the line had vanished.

She felt a brief pang of guilt when she saw the people on the ground, but the opportunity was too good to pass up.

She pushed forward, cutting through the line and reaching the receptionist, forcing her way to the front.
